Place and service were awesome. We showed up 15 minutes before closing and the online service wasn't working, so the guy behind the counter still took our order and was really accommodating. Good burger and a quick place to eat while traveling through the area!

I've always driven by, and seen a line of cars waiting to order. Knowing that the burgers are "Veggie burgers", I was intrigued. I lucked out. It was 6:30 PM on the Friday before Labor Day, and there was only one car in front of me. I decided to go with the cheeseburger combo, with a small fries, (They told me the spicy fries are pretty spicy, so I passed...) I wanted to try the cheese dipping sauce for the fries, but they were out. For an "impossible burger", it was very good. The texture was a bit softer than your average burger, and I could tell from the taste that it wasn't a "real burger", but it was still very good. It had a rich flavor to it that I liked. The cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato were also good, nice and fresh. The bun was good, and held up well to the burger. I didn't care for the fries. They were just your generic fast food fries, and they were just warm, at best. I would try them if I could get them next time with the cheese sauce, but other than that, pass.... I paid about $14 out the door. A bit on the higher end, but it *was* a good burger. Thanks.

I was excited about Moonburger and the fact that they have gluten free buns. This evening was my second visit. They are very inconsistent, which is disappointing. My son wanted a plain burger and there were onions and mushrooms on it. I ordered a double patty and only received one patty. The patties were barely big enough for the buns and very thick and one was cooked properly and the other was bright pink inside. They were obviously not cooked properly. Our fries were Luke warm at best, which is also disappointing. Not sure if I will give it another try.

The food was subpar at best. The service was so/so, the value for the cost is not there at all. We had 3 small fries, 2 burgers, a small sprite and a pumpkin shake for $40.

So happy Moonburger does what they do. There is a difference between having a plant-based option on the menu and having a fully vegetarian friendly fast food restaurant. To anyone complaining they should have beef option, literally you can go just about anywhere else. Let people who don't want or can't eat meat for whatever reasons they have, please just let us have this one wonderful place all to ourselves. And who knows, maybe you'll try it and actually like it, I know I did. Just after opening on a Saturday morning we pulled up to the drive-thru to order. The person on the intercom was super nice and patient as we placed out order. We didn't see it on the menu but we asked about a vegan cheese option and there was one available but because of different definitions of veganism they just call their plant-based cheese as dairy-free/egg-free. We ordered two dairy-free/egg-free cheeseburgers combos, and one burger with dairy cheese. The combos included fresh, crispy, shoestring French fries available in plain or hot (spicy) and a soft drink. I believe we paid a small fee to upgrade our soft drinks to shakes. We tried both the Brownie Batter Shake and the Strawberry Shortcake Shake with non-dairy whipped cream, they were both great but the Strawberry Shortcake shake really did it for me, yum! I really enjoyed the burger it was hot, juicy, "meaty" cheesy, with those little crispy onion pieces on a great bun... just wow! They have really great burgers and those hot fries - BK, McD's, Wendy, Sonic, Arby's, Fiveguys, watch out... there is a new burger place in upstate NY that will knock your socks off! It is a burger drive-thru, if you're hoping for beef, chicken sandwiches, fish fillets, just keep driving, OR, now hear me out, OR stop by and be pleasantly surprised just how good plant-based can be! Drive-thru only, no indoor dining, I didn't take note of any outdoor seating either but they are slinging impossible patties and fries so fast you'll be in and back out on your way in no time! Seriously, check out Moonburger now!!

This place is the worst place you can eat at. First of all any location you go at is a fuc up. I can't stress that enough. They always be really screwing up ordered and on top of a huge wait is crazy There is always an irregularly long wait like 30 mins. For example I sat on the line for 30 mins today and two cars were served in that time period and they had a line of 10-15 cars. Everyone on the line was visibly frustrated. I only am going there because I have these free coupons but that's not even worth it I have no desire to ever eat there again. Mesmerized by it's fascinating exterior, I decided to give Moonburger a chance. Taking this into account, Moonburger is a drive-thru only restaurant that only serves impossible beef. Anyways, I ordered a cheeseburger, french fries, and a chocolate shake. To initiate, the cheeseburger was decent, but it would have been so much better if it was real beef. I understand having impossible meat on the menu, but there should be an option for people who eat beef. It's a shame because I loved the potato style bun, it was fresh and had great flavor. In addition, the special sauce was delicious. It was sweet, tangy, and went great with the burger. I really enjoyed everything about the burger except the weird taste from the fake beef. On the other hand, the french fries were really tasty. The fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned properly. In contrast, the chocolate shake would have been great if they used real milk instead of oat milk. To elaborate, the shake was creamy and had good flavor, but it tasted like there were seeds in the shake from the oats. At long last, Moonburger has a cool exterior and decent food, but they could be great if they offered actual beef.

I've supported moonburger since they started in Kingston, during the pandemic. I told everyone about them who would listen; there's a new burger joint, and the burgers are (were) actually good! I think I personally brought them so many new customers just from word of mouth. However, as time went on, something changed. The burgers stopped being good. They're burned every time, a charred disaster thrown into their wrapper, becoming a disgusting mess that sticks to the wrapper and is unpleasant to unwrap and eat. The fries are over salted EVERY time. Also, the service went downhill fast while the prices went up exponentially. The simple fact of the matter is, it's much more expensive now for worse food and worse service, it's no better than just going to Burger King now. Save your money. Such a shame to see a local business falter. read more

Today I was duped into eating an unnecessary vegan burger. Beware of the fine print that says "meatless". I didn't catch it unfortunately. Besides that the burger is half the size of the picture !! Seriously one step above a White Castle. and raw. Don't trust the pictures. In addition I purchased the meal for $12. Let's see.. minimal overhead since it's just drive through. Limited menu. The burgers should be half the price. And they should have options for carnivores. This place will be out if business in a year or two. read more

Terrible customer service. One minute after ordering our burgers, I realized that I'd forgotten to ask for no onions on mine. We immediately asked to change the order and completely uncompromisingly, the person at the window (confirmed by his manager) said "yeah sure. But we're going to have to charge you for another burger." Also, this guy had his headphones in and kept asking us to repeat ourselves because he obviously couldn't hear us well with highway noice + whatever music he was playing -- rude. As for food, fries had zero salt on them and "hot" spice appears to be just raw cayenne pepper. We love fries but didn't eat even 1/4 of the bag between us, as we weren't enjoying them. The burgers were m, admittedly, delicious though but I won't be back given the customer experience. read more

Tried this for the first time and I was pretty impressed. I love the concept of a drive thru only and as a vegetarian I really appreciate what they've got over here. The burger was flavorful and my boyfriend even said it could pass for real meat. The brownie shake was really rich and delicious. Fries were nice and crispy. The one thing I will say is they should fix the menu sign so it doesn't keep changing between screens. It made it a little difficult to see the menu and order especially if it's your first time and you don't know what's offered. I'm definitely coming back here though read more

It's delightful to have this as an option in the area. I loved the drive through, vibe and the friendly service. This is something that is pretty good that is positioned to possibly be really, really great in the near future. I'll be back again because I'm always looking for a tasty veggie burger and these people might just be the ones to deliver it someday soon. Good fries! read more

Very good! I love the single cheeseburger. Their hot fries are excellent as well especially with the cheese sauce. I like that they have vegetarian and vegan options. I'm happy about the real cheese. Good service on the drive through and very fast. read more

I'm not a vegetarian and yet still Moonburger is my favorite burger place near me. It tastes amazing, feels lighter, and doesn't put me into a food coma the way other burgers do. While I love the brownie-almond milk shake with all my heart (it tastes more like an almond milk smoothie than milkshake), but it's the one menu item I hear people complain about, which you might keep in mind. It is *drive thru only* and a little busy sometimes but that's to be expected when there's good food to be had. read more

Absolutely phenomenal burger. I got the Cheeseburger, and it would be unfair to the moonburger to call it vegetarian burger perfection (which it is). That's because as a meat eater I can happily say it goes toe to toe with the real deal, and was easily as good as a shake shack or five guys. Has all the fatty, meaty, Maillard-reaction-satisfaction of a great flat top burger (my number 2 favorite food on earth). And G dang crispy onions?? So good. Also hot fries were 10/10 flavor and actually had kick! read more

You should eat at Moonburger, or more like from Moonburger cuz you can't eat at it cuz you'll get in everyone's way as I found out after eating my burger after the drive thru window and before making that immediate left to get back on line to order more food. read more

Went shopping in Kingston yesterday and was in the mood for a burger when my wife and I saw this place all lit up and a line coming way out of the drive thru. Come to find out the drive thru was long because there was no sit down dining room. Am giving a second Star because Don took our order correctly but the girl at the window had no personality. We tried the meal deal thing. The burger had no flavor and was so blah it was like eating the box it came in. The fries were toooo salty with fake hot powder salt. They only had a chocolate shake that had crunchy bits of something weird that left a brownie aftertaste that had more flavor then the burger but didn't go well with hot fries. If that's the best local place Kingston has I'm driving over to the Five Guys Burger chain! read more

I'd been looking forward to this lunch outing. Moonburger promised to be an interesting plant-based burger joint with a simple menu and a convenient drive-thru. The burger was a little small but good and the hot fries were pleasantly cayenne/season salt spicy. But then... One sip of their Brownie Batter Shake and...BLECH! The first tiny sweet hint of good chocolate was blasted with a grassy, grain, wheat taste that was disgusting! It was like eating a chocolate covered hay bale. I've never had such an instant disliking for anything resembling chocolate. This drink is currently the only shake option and it is proudly concocted with oat milk. Nothing wrong with that in theory. Moonburger does use dairy cheese in a cheesy dip for fries and in the slab of cheese for their burgers. What happened? Did you work so hard on your delicious burger that you shorted the shake research? Did you let Justin take care of it although his original name was Astro Moonshadow and he's never had a dairy shake in his short life? Is he undercover for Burger King? I'm not going to be completely negative. If, like me, you have a little extra body padding and can't stop saying "oh-heck-add-a-chocolate-shake-onto that," this choco-grain "treat" is perfect for aversion therapy. Not only have I not ordered a shake since, but I've stayed away from that entire part of town. Please, Moonburger, you have to add a real milkshake if you want to be in business. read more

Moonburger really draws you in with good branding, which is good, because you may have to wait in line for a bit staring at said branding. First plant based burger I've had and, overall, a good experience. The double onions are a nice touch. Burger doesn't have a overwhelming distinct flavor. There were no pickles (might have been out?), which probably would have elevated the burger. Tried both the hot and regular fries with a side of cheese sauce. The hot fries almost taste like a spicy barbecue chip - very tasty. The cheese sauce was exceptional, especially with the regular fries. Sharp flavor, good consistency - highly recommend. Also had the brownie batter shake. It's made with a strong oat milk and the oat milk flavor argues with brownie batters richness. Brownie batter flavor is good but wouldn't recommend if you don't like oat milk. read more

Ambiance = Great red & white logo sign & short sharp narrow winding driveway. Food = Great burger that reminded me of Moms homemade or the local luncheonette burgers I knew as a kid in Brooklyn. Same vibe with the french fries, although they would have been tastier with less superfluous salt, TYVM. I still enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back. I tried a burger and fries at Moonburger yesterday. Got it to go, drove 10 minutes to my house, and was disappointed at what I found when I opened the bag. Limp cold fires and a a burger that was much too large for the tiny bun. Burger was broken in pieces, floppy, not warm, with old wilted lettuce, and far too many large onion pieces. Not delicious, not tasty, not appetizing. I ate about half, gave up, and threw it out. I would not recommend this joint, and I will definitely not be returning. . read more

Usually I don't have any bad vibes or cold food here. I pulled up not one car so it should be quick. The girl on the speaker thing got a snippy lil attitude. And it continues to the window. I sat for a long ass time at that window waiting for my food. Burger! Banging!!! Fries ice cold. Chick- still got an attitude "have a nice day" with a dead face on . Employees here are work extremely minimalistic, on their phones (manager behind them not caring), using the same gloves, leftover cooked patties during rush times that sit for minutes on minutes, and trust me there's a reason fries taste weird after 8, because they put into a bowl. Trust me I've worked here in the past, not worth your money especially since they are increasing the price steadily. read more

Come on! Impossible burger fast food hot and fresh. All the haters need to find something else to complain about. You don't like what they serve (as a category) so you complain? Had such a bad experience this weekend. Went there 2x and couldn't believe the second time. They messed up my order 2x to the point where I just said forget it and threw it away. The person taking the orders didn't understand what the issue was but it was as simple as they all had dairy cheese on them and they weren't supposed to have dairy or vegan cheese on them (we are vegan) he kept going in circles before the manager came over and helped us. Both times the orders were taken right as the sticker of the order on each burger said the correct thing but again the order was wrong! I could have went back and told them but when I did that before I got an attitude and he made me wait 20 minutes just for him to give me the ring around. We had a long drive home and I already wasted an hour at the establishment and had 2 impatient kids. So I wasted 70$ read more

I'm in love I didn't even know they were meatless until my husband told me. However it was their hot fries that really captured my heart. So spicy and a little tangyness yumm. Plus the fried onions on the burger with its delicious saucyness All of this without the discomfort and regret that fast food normally would bring me. Really happy I found this place. Their burgers are really good, I was pleasantly surprised. Their fries are also delicious and fresh. I was today in Kingston NY.Looking at Campworld RV.Just looking after we were hungry.My wife was checking the area for somewhere to eat.I was not to happy with her choice she said how about a burger . I'm not a big fan of hamburgers. You know the saying happy wife happy life.We get there it's a drive-thru. I'm not feeling it the lady outside greets us .Then says all the burgers are plant based.My first thought was to leave.my wife says well its healthy let's try it.We tried it.We were blown away to say the least. It's so cute. Really unique drive-thru, I wish more places looked like this. Such a personality. The burger itself I didn't like. I could only eat half & then sadly through the rest away (& I tend to finish everything!). I think I just don't like impossible burgers. I like veggie burgers, I like beef burgers, but something about impossible burgers taste off to me. The hot fries were decent. The staff were very sweet. read more

We were in the neighborhood to attend the Catskill Christmas Express and stopped here on our way home. I'm so sorry to say, but what a disappointment. I'm not a vegetarian but often eat as such. $38 later and my husband and I just looked at each other. Also - that shake is gross. We tried to like it, but after trying to get down a few sips, couldn't even bother. I hate writing this review but have to be honest. Don't waste your money. read more

Holy No-Cow!!! Fabulous oat milk Shakes?!?! YES!!! Burgers are delicious!!! The special recipe sauce, crispy onions & crispy pickles were the perfect combination!!! They are all in on their business plan and execute well!!! My husband went to the drive thru on a Friday night and he was back in 20 minutes and everything was perfect!!! The hot fries were excellent!!! So grateful to be able to go to a burger joint again!!! read more

Have not been to Moonburger in quite sometime. I was highly excited to once again partake in their food. It was Definingly a disappointment this go around. I waited in line roughly 15 minutes, only to receive my food and the cheeseburger was warm and the hot fries were cold as if they were sitting for a while. The Pumpkin Pie shake was the only thing worth buying. read more

At first, I thought it might have been a misunderstanding or just trying to be heard over the noise, but it continued. Whoever took the order didnt hear cheese sauce, no big deal My dad told her when he was paying "oh i dont think you guys got the cheese sauce but ill pay for one now" and this weirdo argues with him that he didnt say it. He said i did, it probably wasnt heard and thats ok but he would like to buy one It was so cringey, she went on that she read back the order and my dad didnt say anything My dad is in his 70s. I was intrigued by Moonburger from the moment I saw it open. I finally got the chance to try it and it was literally everything I thought it would be and better! I am a sucker for fast food and a drive-thru experience since I am from and currently live in NYC and barely get that. It is so hard to believe that they do not use any real meat in their burgers because they literally taste just like a regular burger with meat, but even better! The hot fries were also extremely delectable and good. I did not get a picture of it but another time I came here I got the brownie milkshake and it literally tasted like a fresh homemade brownie in the form of liquid, I was so blown away. Moonburger has officially become my new favorite fast food spot, I see a very bright future for this place and I think it can be as big as Shake Shack.
