The original purchase over a year ago was very positive. Personal continuing care for the tree we purchased was promised. Turns out, that didn't pan out. 3 or 4 warranty visits were paid for, but in a year's time we received 1. The second visit is now a year beyond the purchase. Exceptions have been Johnny and Charlize, who have stepped up and represented the company very well. Personal service from both have been very appreciated. But the overall system seems to be broken. I was given multiple dates when someone would come out and look at my tree. It kept changing, and driving me nuts. read more

I had a great experience with Moon Valley! I needed help and wasn't sure where to start, and Johnny saved the day! He was super passionate about the project and helping me find the right plants for each spot. I was probably a bit of a pain because I was overly concerned with everything too. He was super knowledgable and awesome to work with, and I felt like he was personally invested in my happiness! Once everything was planted I had my first quearterly service, and Maria was also awesome! She quickly diagnosed that I was overwatering one of my trees and gave me tips on how to keep them happy and get rid of some moths that were trying to nest. I was mailed a flyer for 60% off. I called one of the Phoenix Moon Nurseries they told me someone would be returning my call. A Johnny called from 5204653382. I asked him what was the price for the smallest Apricot tree he said $300 and the planting, delivery amended ingredients were all included in the price. I asked do you honor the 60% discount off of the $300 he said yes. I drove this morning to Moon Nurseries in Marana a Cole was helping me he kept pushing the higher priced trees didn't want to listen to me very well, was arrogant and short tempered. I told Cole about what I was assured, he didn't believe me and proceeded to listen to the recorded call with Johnny. Then he told me I was wrong about everything. I spoke to a manager and he did apologize but refused to hear the call. He offered to sell me the Apricot tree at $300 but would not honor the discount from their flyer. This was a very disappointing experience with Moon Nurseries, I will never recommend them to anyone, their prices are ridiculous, their customer service is combative and I felt very uncomfortable with the way I was spoken to and how my concern was dismissed. They don't honor what they say nor the flyer discount they offer. read more

I finally made it to Moon Nursery and was greeted by Blake. I was interested in a fruit cocktail tree. One that gives red grapefruit/lemons/limes. I also needed something to put in the big hole from a water thingie. I settled on a pygmy palm. Finally, planting day. The pygmy palm is healthy and big... The cocktail tree came with fruit. A couple of grapefruit and maybe 8-10 lemons & limes. It's off to a great start. Carlos and his crew were great. Rachel not only was fun to talk with she also makes sure you're happy with your purchase. My philosophy is you get what you pay for. I wanted the best for my investment. Dodged a bullet!! Salesman (Mark) was a complete bully. He said the coupon mailer was $1300 for 3 trees but I had it with me for $1099 and he said it was old and they had thrown all those away but they'd honor it but then I'd have to pay for blah, blah, blah. At this point I mentioned the bad reviews I'd seen and he started to storm off and leave me way out in the nursery when I told him I needed to be driven around because of my hip pain. I was limping badly. A woman way out away from everyone with this guy and I had to ask him if he was going to drive me back. I was completely uncomfortable and told him so and asked him to get me someone else. Just a horrible experience! They really need to rethink their staffing. Reviews online are terrible for this company with so many BBB complaints. read more

Blake was available and very responsive to our questions and kept us informed about our trees and bushes and the timeline up to the planting day. My backyard needed TLC so after many years of holding off; I decided it was time to create an outdoor space. I knew I wanted trees to provide shade to the backyard for some relief from Arizona heat. I was told to visit Moon Valley Nursery as they had a variety of trees and plants situated for the Arizona climate. When I arrived to their location I immediately feel in love with a beautiful 15 year old Bonita Ash tree that was near the front of the parking area. The staff at the location were friendly and helpful. They drove me around in a UTV helping to make it easier to look at all their selection of plants and trees. The Marana location is 30 acres large. Once we decide on the trees and plants Alex Ortiz helped provide some guidance on where in my yard to plant all the trees and plants. I provided pictures of my backyard and with this nifty program he was able to virtually place the plants in my backyard to give me and idea on how it would look. This is what I ended up purchasing. Bonita Ash Trees, Myrtle Dwarfs, Cape Honeysuckle & Jasmin Star. The crew that came to plant my trees were lead by Jacob. What great guys, very communicative and friendly. At the beginning they had difficulty getting the trees into my backyard. What I liked is they involved me in the process to make sure not to damage my gate or wall but once this issue was resolved they worked with me to find the best place to plant the trees. They worked quickly, bringing the right equipment to get through the tough soil. Jacob gave me directions on how to care for the tree and how to use the fertilizer I purchased for the trees and shrubs. All-in-All I had a fantastic experience with all the staff at Moon Valley Nursery. The staff followed up to make sure all had gone well during my visit and worked with me to return two shrubs that were not healthy and provided me with two new healthy shrubs. The team led by Carlos gave us updates on their arrival time, arrived early on the day promised and installed the trees where we had designated them. Last year we purchased a King Palm along with the warranty. The palm didn't make it a full year for unknown reasons. We went back to Moon Valley in Marana and they honored their warranty no questions asked. We picked out a new and different replacement palm and Garrett and his crew got the old one dug out and the new one craned in and installed within a few weeks. We had four trees planted, two at a time. the first two died even though we spent a lot on water bills. The trees were replanted under warranty and now one has died and one has seedily made it. Richie said they would replant the other dead tree but have not heard back from them in over a week or more. When we went there I thought this place was very good and professional.
