He was very professional and did a great job in the presentation. We saw him again for the Spring Tucson convention (2026) and bought more trees. Again, very professional, knew was he was doing and definitely gave us the best advice to take care of our trees. We will continue our business with Moon Valley because they provide the best presentation and products. Johnny and his team are the best in the business. As part of the package when I bought several fruit trees from Moon Valley Nursery, they send a specialist periodically to help keep me on track. I am new to the desert and can use the advice and guidance. The arborist they sent, Joel Crawford was amazing. Personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He was really helpful. Thanks Joel read more

Great plants, horrible - absolutely horrible customer service. pray you don't need help after the plants are in the ground because no one calls back. No matter how polite you are - you're a nobody to them after you pay. I've lost my trees after a year of growth because no one would come out and service them properly. And yes, I paid - I didn't expect free service. I'm so incredibly disappointed. read more

Moon Nursery in Marana planted the Ocotillo on the right in the picture at the beginning of this year. It was dead on arrival and is still dead. Acacia Nursery planted the Ocotillo on the left in the picture on April 17. Moon Nursery charged me $1,300 for the Ocotillo and Acacia Nursery's Ocotillo was $400 and as one can see, it is alive and healthy. Moon nursery refuses to refund me and offered to give me $900 worth of their plants. I told them I did not want any more of their plants. I sent Moon Nursery's CEO and president about this issue and many more issues in a two page letter. I never got a response. Adam, their salesman told me many lies, especially one about their sponsored credit card. He told me I did not have to pay anything for a year which was not true. There is a minimum monthly charge. This is credit card fraud and a deceptive sales tactic. Their credit card representative, of course, refused my request to refund me the $1,300. This nursery is overpriced, sell inferior products, use deceptive sales practices and do not care about customers. read more

This is a least the third time that we have used Moon Valley in Marana - yes, they are pricey but when I compare that to my personal cost to haul and plant (in the worst soil on the planet) these trees it's well worth it. This last time they helped us out of a jam when our original contractor could not meet a specific delivery/completion date, The crew arrived as promised led by Cesar Jiminez, worked with me while identifying locations for all, and even looked at some existing plants/trees that were struggling to provide some advice. I have at least one more area to plant, I will be back! read more

Moon Valley nursery is great! Our experience first started with Blake whom was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the perfect plants (Japanese blueberry's) for our backyard. The communication was on point through to the date of the actual planting date. Jeremy and the crew did a great job, super respectful, friendly, and efficient. We are planning our next big tree project with them next year! Highly recommended. You definitely get what you pay for "quality." read more

Wonderful trees, good planting service, seriously lacking on post-service customer care. I've had to go through a different company to get tree care assistance. Quite disappointed. read more

I will never used this nursery again. I bought two trees from them, with warranty and planting. First let me say the planting is a joke. They will literally just dig a hole the size of the container. They don't amend the soil with anything, they sprinkle a couple tablespoons of some granules they call soil conditioner, stuff it in the small hole, and make a half ass well. I agree with others our sales person was pushy. It's more than likely a commission based position. The warranty includes an arborist visit three times in a year. They don't work with you on your scheduling. I couldn't be there on the day they were going to come, so I called the Marana nursery that I purchased it from, and changed it, we'll I thought. The arborist called me on the day they originally scheduled to tell me he was going to be coming by, I told him I rescheduled it to another day. Apparently the person I talked to didn't follow through with rescheduling. I have two dogs that go outside through a dog door to the back yard where my trees are planted. I work during the day, and can't just take off on a whim. The arborist told me he would take care of rescheduling it. I took the day off, no show, no call, called and left message. Nothing! The orange tree they planted is struggling, and they barely dug the hole very deep, the top roots are all pretty far above ground, more than needed. When I told the planters all my concerns, about the way they were planting, he just told me it's the way they were trained to plant, and they are timed, and only have 15 minutes for my planting. He also said thats the way they always plant. My opinion of this company is they sell plants, and thats all they care about. They aren't freindly, wont work with you, and wont return calls. Its a corporation that apparently handles everything from a central office I belive in California. I will never ever purchase from them again. You would think with the highest prices they could do bettet. Its like a used car sales only its plants. Its all sales sales sales, and credit credit credit. I didn't use credit but paid cash, but they were pushing it. I hope my trees make it. Sad to see so many businesses like this in the world these days. read more

I recently had a fantastic experience with Moon Valley Nursery! From the initial purchase, where Johnny (sales) provided excellent guidance, to the planting, their service was truly exceptional. Johnny took the time to understand our needs, advise regarding placement (fig tree and two climbing vines), and to help us with future considerations. Carlos and his crew handled delivery and planting with impeccable care. They were not only incredibly friendly but also very informative, taking the time to answer all my questions. After planting, one of the crew members even watered existing plants that needed watering while Carlos was educating me regarding the needs of the fig tree.Their meticulous attention to detail during the planting process was outstanding. From the time we stepped foot onto the nursery, to the delivery and planting, everyone went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend Moon Valley Nursery and commend the staff for such excellent service. read more

A shout out to Cole of Moon Valley Nursery Marana. I stopped by to drop off their yard sign. Cole met me and asked about my experience. He had specific questions that demonstrated "after sale service." He knew at this time I was not in the market to buy but did not brush me off. Great customer service! On time with delivery , great looking plants and trees! Made the changes I needed.

I went to Moon Valley Nursery for the first time today looking for a mandarin tree, and Blake was incredible. He took so much time showing me the different varieties and sizes, and because they were in season I even got to taste them. I ended up choosing a Satsuma tree that will be delivered soon. Highly recommend! read more

I finally made it to Moon Nursery and was greeted by Blake. I was interested in a fruit cocktail tree. One that gives red grapefruit/lemons/limes. I also needed something to put in the big hole from a water thingie. I settled on a pygmy palm. Finally, planting day. The pygmy palm is healthy and big... The cocktail tree came with fruit. A couple of grapefruit and maybe 8-10 lemons & limes. It's off to a great start. Carlos and his crew were great. Rachel not only was fun to talk with she also makes sure you're happy with your purchase. My philosophy is you get what you pay for. I wanted the best for my investment. I will say it's pricy but in the long run it's worth the money. Thanks Blake, Carlos & crew, and Rachel Moon Valley Nursery #1 for all your trees/bushes.....etc. Cheers! read more

I had a great experience with Moon Valley! I needed help and wasn't sure where to start, and Johnny saved the day! He was super passionate about the project and helping me find the right plants for each spot. I was probably a bit of a pain because I was overly concerned with everything too. He was super knowledgable and awesome to work with, and I felt like he was personally invested in my happiness! Once everything was planted I had my first quearterly service, and Maria was also awesome! She quickly diagnosed that I was overwatering one of my trees and gave me tips on how to keep them happy and get rid of some moths that were trying to nest. Now that tree is looking happy again and I'm very thankful! Both of these guys were pros and I couldn't be happier that I had the opportunity to work with them! read more

The original purchase over a year ago was very positive. Personal continuing care for the tree we purchased was promised. Turns out, that didn't pan out. 3 or 4 warranty visits were paid for, but in a year's time we received 1. The second visit is now a year beyond the purchase. Exceptions have been Johnny and Charlize, who have stepped up and represented the company very well. Personal service from both have been very appreciated. But the overall system seems to be broken. I was given multiple dates when someone would come out and look at my tree. It kept changing, and driving me nuts. read more

Carlos and his crew today made my front yard landscape dream a reality. They arrived early and quickly planted five (2 giants and 3 huge) trees and seven shrubs. Blake at Moon Valley in Marana rocks! We spent a portion of the afternoon with him. He knows about the trees and shrubs, gave us lots of advice, answered our questions, took his time, and helped us get the best deal possible for our budget: no high pressure, but clear choices. We will be back again. We are a private home and not a big contractor, and we still got the best service possible. read more

We recently moved to Tucson from Ohio. My mom visited for the first time and wanted to buy me a palm tree for our property as a Christmas gift. We were lucky enough to find Johnny at Moon Valley Nursery. He took the time to show us all around the property on a gator. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We ended up getting the cutest pineapple palm tree I've ever seen! He also gave us his phone number to call with any questions with planting and caring for our new palm. We will be back for any future landscaping needs. I highly recommend Moon Valley Nursery to anyone in the Tucson/Phoenix area. Ask for Johnny! The best!! read more

Dodged a bullet!! Salesman (Mark) was a complete bully. He said the coupon mailer was $1300 for 3 trees but I had it with me for $1099 and he said it was old and they had thrown all those away but they'd honor it but then I'd have to pay for blah, blah, blah. At this point I mentioned the bad reviews I'd seen and he started to storm off and leave me way out in the nursery when I told him I needed to be driven around because of my hip pain. I was limping badly. A woman way out away from everyone with this guy and I had to ask him if he was going to drive me back. I was completely uncomfortable and told him so and asked him to get me someone else. Just a horrible experience! They really need to rethink their staffing. Reviews online are terrible for this company with so many BBB complaints. read more

Blake was our sales representative and he was quite helpful and informative in helping us make the proper tree, bush and shrub selections for our area in Rio Rico. Blake was available and very responsive to our questions and kept us informed about our trees and bushes and the timeline up to the planting day. He coordinated everything and there were no miscommunications. Hence, everything went smoothly. Jeremy and the planting crew did a fantastic job getting our trees and bushes planted on our property and especially in some of those areas on the property we felt were challenging. Jeremy was knowledgeable and informative which was greatly appreciated. read more

My backyard needed TLC so after many years of holding off; I decided it was time to create an outdoor space. I knew I wanted trees to provide shade to the backyard for some relief from Arizona heat. I was told to visit Moon Valley Nursery as they had a variety of trees and plants situated for the Arizona climate. When I arrived to their location I immediately feel in love with a beautiful 15 year old Bonita Ash tree that was near the front of the parking area. The staff at the location were friendly and helpful. They drove me around in a UTV helping to make it easier to look at all their selection of plants and trees. The Marana location is 30 acres large. Once we decide on the trees and plants Alex Ortiz helped provide some guidance on where in my yard to plant all the trees and plants. I provided pictures of my backyard and with this nifty program he was able to virtually place the plants in my backyard to give me and idea on how it would look. This is what I ended up purchasing. Bonita Ash Trees, Myrtle Dwarfs, Cape Honeysuckle & Jasmin Star. The crew that came to plant my trees were lead by Jacob. What great guys, very communicative and friendly. At the beginning they had difficulty getting the trees into my backyard. What I liked is they involved me in the process to make sure not to damage my gate or wall but once this issue was resolved they worked with me to find the best place to plant the trees. They worked quickly, bringing the right equipment to get through the tough soil. Jacob gave me directions on how to care for the tree and how to use the fertilizer I purchased for the trees and shrubs. All-in-All I had a fantastic experience with all the staff at Moon Valley Nursery. The staff followed up to make sure all had gone well during my visit and worked with me to return two shrubs that were not healthy and provided me with two new healthy shrubs. I would definitely recommend Moon Valley Nursery. THANKS Alex & Jacob plus all the crew that help out. read more

Very pleased with the Moon Valley Team. From the assistance by Blake picking out the biggest/best Lime Tree & expediting the planting schedule to accommodate my travel plans, to George Alderton and the planting crew who did a great job. The planting team had to uncrate the tree and transport it to the backyard by wheelbarrow due to the gate size. They did it without blinking an eye (no extra fees, no rescheduling to bring a crane).
