Purchased from Moon Valley Nurseries twice. Good selection. Fast delivery. Professional and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Ramon Morales did a great job trimming my olive tree! He was also super helpful with a few of my other bushes that weren't looking quite right. He took the time to explain what was going on with them and what I could do to help them. He was nice, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and I appreciated him taking the extra time to answer all my questions. read more

Edit: my husband was in fact able to get a resolution with one phone call! Updating my rating. I am so disappointed in our experience with Moon Valley nursery. The sales person that we worked with to purchase our trees was great, but that is where our positive experience ended. We purchased two trees and the additional warranty. Everything was going fine until one of our trees began to die. Even the technician who came out as part of our warranty, didn't treat the tree because it was too far gone. I have called Moon Valley three separate times and left three separate messages each letting them know my problem and requesting a call back. I have not been called back. They are great about communicating with you when you're buying something, but clearly not when you have a problem with their product or service. Unfortunately, I've passed this off to my husband because for better or worse I think he might be able to get better results because he's a man and they might take him more seriously. In hindsight, and after talking to a few people, Moon Valley is incredibly expensive for the product and the service that you're getting and I wish I would've taken my business elsewhere. read more

We've bought several trees from Moon Valley over the years and just came back for our fourth, this time a Camphor. What keeps us returning is the quality of the service. We weren't sure exactly what would work best in the space, and Mario was extremely helpful. I was a little concerned about where the tree needed to be planted, so Mario came by the day before installation to take a look himself. He explained why the location would work and made us feel much more comfortable moving forward. The installation itself was quick and easy, and the tree is doing great so far. We've had consistently good experiences with Moon Valley, and when it's time to add another tree, they'll be our first stop. read more

When we arrived at Moon Nursery the selection was so vast it was almost overwhelming. Mario helped us after we talked about what we were looking for in a tree and made great recommendations! He was very friendly and so knowledgeable about the trees and answered all my questions! When purchasing the tree the staff inside were super sweet and even gave my kids a small treat! For planting day, they were able to squeeze us in and get our tree delivered quickly! When Frank and his team showed up to plant the tree they were friendly and worked quickly. The tree is beautiful and they did a splendid job even digging in my river rock backyard. Thank you Moon Nursery! We will definitely be going back again when we decide to get more plants! read more

My husband and I wanted to add some greenery to our front yard. We coincidentally received a flyer from Moon Valley so we decided to visit their Laverne location. We were greeted by Mario who was very courteous and took his time to show us succulents and fruit trees as we requested. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We decided to move forward and scheduled a consultation for Mario to come to our home at a later date. On our consultation day, Mario was once again very knowledgeable and gave us recommendations on the number of plants and tress we would need in our yard. We were so pleased that we decided to proceed. On installation day, the planters were professional and efficient. We love the look our new succulents and fruit trees. I would recommend Moon Valley nurseries to anyone looking to improve the curb appeal of their home. Thank you Mario. read more

Moon Valley Nurseries does everything well. It is an upscale nursery and that comes with high prices that's why I am not giving them a 5 but everything else is top notch. You pay for what you get in the end. Josh Natisch has helped us twice and was very professional and responsive through the whole process. We spent a good amount on a lemon tree but are very satisfied. We communicated via text after the sale and he was responsive through the whole process. Highly recommended. read more

Josh Natisch was quick to help us--he was super friendly, he showed us a variety of trees around the nursery, and had lots of expertise about the trees and the planting process. We left feeling confident about our selection. His communication leading up to the tree planting was great. We had Ramon from Moon come out to inspect our tree as part of the included service, and he was OUTSTANDING! He was very knowledgeable, and VERY patient! We purchased all of our plants from Moon. It was a very specific design with relatively mature trees. They offer a service that sends a pro to check on (especially) the big guys to ensure they make it through the first year, the most critical time. Given the investment it made sense to get the extra protection. My first visit with Ramon, the specialist was not just informative but reassuring that the action we were taking was helpful but gave specific pointers to expand on what we've established together. Great experience all around. Highly recommend Ramon for his expertise. read more

After purchasing and having two Tipu trees installed a few months ago, Ramon Morales came out to check on them. He rebuilt the rings around the trees so the water could stay localized better, adjusted the supports and checked for any pruning that may have needed to be done. Very impressed with the service, and have no reservations about paying extra to have the trees checked out and cared for beyond their basic needs. Looking forward to having Ramon come out next time. 5-Star Review Ramon Morales is an Absolute Superstar - 100/10 Service from Moon Valley's MVP Tech! I can't say enough amazing things about Ramon Morales with Moon Valley Nurseries! He reached out personally as the MVP tech and came out to handle our tree maintenance, and wow--what a game-changer! From the moment he arrived, Ramon was the epitome of professionalism, kindness, and genuine care. He took so much time with us, never rushing, and truly listened to everything we had to say. We had a ton of questions--some probably pretty silly and basic about watering, pruning, fertilizing, pest stuff, you name it--but Ramon answered every single one patiently, thoroughly, and with a smile. He never once made us feel dumb or like we were wasting his time. Instead, he explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and super helpful. His expertise is off the charts! He inspected our trees like a true pro, pointed out exactly what was going great, what needed a little tweak, and gave us crystal-clear advice on what we should do right now to keep everything thriving. He even went over things we should have done earlier (no judgment at all--just helpful tips to avoid issues down the road) and laid out the best plan for the future so our landscape stays beautiful and healthy for years. He covered watering schedules, proper mulching, how to spot problems early, seasonal care--everything! It felt like having a personal tree whisperer who actually cares about your yard as much as you do. Ramon is not just skilled; he's incredibly kind, caring, and personable. He went above and beyond, making sure we felt confident and excited about our trees. This level of service is rare these days, and it made our whole experience with Moon Valley Nurseries outstanding. A big shout out to Ramon Morales, the MVP Tech. I appreciate you texting me and letting. me know what time you would be here. Ramon is very versed and knowledgeable on what needs to be done for the trees and the bush he was working on. As he was working on the Red push pistachio tree in the front yard, he was explaining everything that needed to be done. Any question I had he answered it. Ramon went to the backyard to work on the Orange Tree Bush. he explained what needs to be done. As my 94 mother was watching him trim the green oranges off the Orange Tree Bush. at first she was not very happy that this was being done. She felt it was a waste of fruit. Ramon explained to her if he does not trim these oranges now the tree will not produce the Oranges at the peak of production of the perfect orange full of juice and the best taste. As I was watching Ramon trim the orange tree bush. He knew exactly what to do and where to trim, as he was one with the orange tree bush. When he spread the Moon nursery mulch it was evenly distributed. When Ramon left, he gave me a list of what to use on the push pistachio tree along with the orange bush. He even left at full container of moon juice. Thank you again, Ramon for understanding. I truly appreciate the kindness that you showed. read more

Hi..... I enjoyed my Sunday afternoon so much. Why, you ask? Well, I was just cruising around after church, in La Verne, and, much to my delight, I ended up at Moon Valley Nurseries.....lucky me. It was a pretty day and I was surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees, two of my favorite things. I was met by Landscape Designer, Rylie Parker. She was sooo nice and knowledgeable, and really helpful with my "search" for just the right flowers needing little Sun or water. In fact she came up with three candidates, and, I love my choice. I enjoyed my day, enjoyed meeting Rylie, who was great, and enjoyed, and impressed with, Moon Valley Nurseries. Thank you. read more

Our beloved Palo Verde tree, planted 5-6 years ago by Moon, blew over and uprooted earlier this year to our dismay. I called Moon and spoke with Mario who from the start assured me this could be remedied. Sent him some photos and we scheduled the fix within a couple days. Crew arrive bright and early and labored for several hours and succeeded in uprighting the Palo Verde. Within a week it was in full blossom to show its appreciation and is now blossoming for a second time this season. Thank you Mario and crew.. read more
