This cute lil' spot needs a 6th star for great service! We went here in search of a better version of a black cod situation we had at a previous establishment, and found a worthy successor! Not only was it cooked to perfection, but the miso sauce was nice, with a gentle kick of ginger to make the palette happy:) My partner had both the Salmon and Hamachi collar and both were top-notch too. The servers were super friendly and efficient and the ambiance was warm and inviting after a walk in the rain. The sushi here was phenomenal! My server was super friendly and very helpful with the menu. She recommended the kraken roll. When she told me there was octopus I was a little skeptical but I decided to go for it. I also got everyone's favorite the fancy Seattle roll and of course it ended up being my favorite! Both rolls that I got were delicious, full of flavor and both so different from one another. The agedashi tofu wasn't bad. But I have had better. I did enjoy that they put different things on each tofu, one had green onions, garlic, ginger, and I forgot the other. You could mix it in or just enjoy it as is. I think the batter for the tofu lacked flavor for me personally. Overall wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't get it again. Definitely will be coming back to try their other rolls! Really enjoyed this place from the food, service and the people. The sushi chefs were so cheerful and greeting everyone as they entered and exited the restaurant which I thought was pretty neat to see. We hopped over to Moon Tree for a little happy hour tapas & we're very impressed!! Enjoyed 2 servings of the crispy rice (they were that good) along with the spicy salmon, miso soup, and house red wine. The service here was very quick- that we were shocked, genuinely. Found this little gem thanks to Yelp. Some staple rolls but mainly unique rolls that made choosing a little difficult. We hiked all morning and then had a 2 hour drive into Seattle, otherwise I would have thought to get some pictures. We shared the rolls and had the following: The California roll was perfect; not dry and not overwhelmed with rice. The Lobster roll was a California roll with tempura lobster and spicy Mayo (we asked for the eel sauce to be omitted). Just the right amount of kick on a the lobster tempura. Salmon roll which was fresh and delicious. Soft shell crab roll was perfectly prepared. Shrimp tempura and asparagus was a favorite. Clear flavors not lost when frying which made this so much better than previous rolls in other establishments Dessert was the mango mousse cake and it was scrumptious. Moist and packed with flavor.and the only item I got a picture of! The service was prompt and the waiters checked on everyone which was nice as they were busy. I had a nice glass of Novelty Hill Sauvignon Blanc which was lovely. Ordered the king salmon sushi - which was on the daily fish specials - was so good I had to order another. We had basically their entire fish specials for nigiri and a few others: oysters with Uni and caviar and salmon cheeks. The best thing was probably the salmon cheeks. What a fantastic sushi restaurant! We came by before a concert around 530PM and was able to get seated immediately even though the area and restaurant was crowded (2 separate events going on). Service was quick and attentive - we were immediately given waters when we sat down. We ordered two cocktails which again came out quickly! Our server made sure that our order was put in before it started getting busy. We ordered geso karaage, house salad, lollipop sushi, and the fancy Seattle roll. The geso was delicious, house salad was fresh with a light tangy dressing. The lollipop is packed full of fish, but a heads up, it's wrapped in cucumber and not sushi rice. It was still delicious! This place is such a hidden gem. Some of the best sushi I've had in seattle! The inside is small and humble, but service was good. The toro cut roll was yummy as well! We decided to order one more roll afterwards and chose to try a new one, the super moon roll. The fish was great quality but the pickled daikon overpowered the fish and there were no contrasting textures. Definitely would not order this again and wish I got the moon tree a second time. I love that there is a sushi spot in Queen Anne so close to the Space Needle! The spot is cozy and in a great location. The service is awesome, and the chefs and staff are so kind and accommodating. Their menu isn't huge, but they offer a good selection of nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and other things, that are priced very decently, so we were able to get a few different things. We started off with the salmon skin salad, that is my favorite thing to start out a meal with if a restaurant offers it. The salmon skin was perfectly crispy on the outside, not too oily, and went really well with the salad and dressing. We got 4 rolls total - a Spicy Tuna roll, Salmon Skin roll, Lollipop roll, and the Fancy Seattle Roll that were pretty good! The basic rolls didn't blow me away, but the Lollipop roll (roll wrapped with cucumber) and Fancy Seattle Roll (with seared salmon on top) were awesome! Ok, I always feel that I got to tread lightly when reviewing Japanese sushi restaurants in Seattle, given the fact there are so many good ones here. For only being here for 3 months, I have had my fair share of poke bowls, sushi, and sashimi. And so far, this has been the best place for sashimi. Easily. Hands down. My wife and I ordered: 1. Lollipop roll 2. Chirashi bowl 3. Hamachi (collar) The Lollipop roll was ok. Wasn't a huge fan. I'm not a big fan of eating crunchy cucumber with my sushi, but I'm sure there are other good sushi rolls. I can do without it next time. But my Lord almighty, that Chirashi bowl? Hands down amazing. The fish just melts in your mouth. Perfect amount of rice and fish with a dash of wasabi. Also artful and wonderfully presented (see picture below). Given that the Chirashi bowl was the highlight of the meal, hamachi was a close, CLOSE second. I didn't have high expectations when I first saw it, but the fish collar was so tender and easily peeled off the bone. It tasted so fresh and I made sure to pick off every chunk of fish on that bone. Although this place doesn't have many reviews, which I'm sure will change, the rating doesn't lie. And given that I'm walking distance away, I'll be sure to go back soon read more

With dine-in back open, it is a perfect opportunity to get the elevated experience and get some nice rolls. We started with the takoyaki which is pretty good - the outer layer is crispy and the inside is very flavorful. Definitely reminds me of the takoyaki I ate in Osaka, just, of course, multipliers more expensive Then, we ordered the fancy Seattle roll, moon tree roll, and in and out roll. The fancy Seattle roll is one of my favorite as I have a bias for salmon, with the in and out roll a close second. Something with the cilantro sauce made it pretty good to dip, or pour over, in the in and out roll. I am not too much of a fan of the moon tree roll, but it gave a bit of variety to the rolls we ordered. We were still eager to get another roll after, so we tried the Las Vegas Roll. Normally deep fried rolls have too much batter or not fried through, but this one strikes a nice balance. As it was deep fried, it thoroughly satisfies our appetite.
