I believe this is the original Moon. There's another Moon #2 that's several blocks down on the same street. I believe they have affiliation. Anywho..parking for this location is pretty easy. Inside, however, is pretty small so if you're thinking about going with a large group you might wanna reconsider. They have two options from the menu to choose from A and B. They have a pretty nice selection in the A option but just a few more "add-ons" for the B options you're pretty good with just A. Their meat is very tasty and the quality is good. Our favorite was the chopped beef sirloin and the beef brisket. The service was good no complaints there. I will say their grills are very different. They're like the fishnet grills which is aesthetically pleasing but when cooking the meat was difficult to grab because I kept grabbing the grill by accident. Overall we had a good experience but I don't know if we'll go back just cause there's so many other places to try but this place was decent. read more

My group of 4 was seated right away around 8pm. The ambiance is just like any other Korean BBQ, loud with a lot of drinks and the smell of grilled meat. Service was immaculate 5/5. The servers and waiters went back and forth to our grill to offer their help and even cooked some of our meat. While trying their food my friends wanted to use their salad sauce as a dipping sauce for their brisket, a waiter noticed and provided us with their special brisket sauce with jalapeños instead. Sauce itself paired really well with the grilled meat. Overall our group really enjoyed the dinner and would definitely come again! Moon BBQ was a hit. Have in mind, this place sits you on stools. There is no back rest, so just know your back will be a bit uncomfortable during dinner as you will not be able to lean. I think they may have a few booths but don't recall. They charge $36 per adult and children after 6 years old. The manager although charged us half price for our 6 year old because she barely ate, so that was nice. They were very friendly and attentive. You have to ask them for more sides (rice paper, brisket sauce etc.) They don't have cucumbers nor do they have sesame oil (it wasn't served). The place was dim and tight. But still a good space between tables. We had a high chair that was sort of in the way at times. So have that in mind if you're bringing a baby. Food itself was tasty. Their radish salad and brisket/ meats all had flavor and cooked great on the grill. For 4 cloud beers, 6 adults 1 kid we paid about $360 dollars (tip not included) read more

First time visitor There is street parking around the surrounding area by the library and city hall as well as a smaller scale parking lot Definitely a smaller scale Korean bbq - maybe 15 to 25 round tables with stools however it would appear small and large parties can fit accordingly Appears to have 1 flatscreen tv and it gets very loud with the music chatter and enclosed area 2 hour time limit for AYCE There are 2 menus choices available along with a kid pricing but up to age 5? Definitely strong first impression with everyone genuinely greeting Table is set / Sides and sauces are brought out ready at table upon sitting An appetizer soup was provided and part of the AYCE included many types of soups such as the steam egg hot kimchi noodles soybean stew and red pepper stew We consumed 4 rounds (2 rounds of meat order each time and some meats are specific to 1 per party) Beef tenderloin chopped up sirloin beef marinated short rib Beef tongue (thinly sliced and frozen upon arrival) Spicy pork belly / loved that it's already cut up into portions instead of a very long strip Beef brisket Chicken gizzards Small intestine Quality of meats were very good, good flavor tender, cooked up well - please note the grill has an exposed flame below so watch your grease as flames will come shooting up The sides were radish rice paper potato kimchi pickled vegetable cilantro and onion The gizzard which had growing up cooked well but didn't have an appealing taste, same with small intestine had previously but wasn't a fan Also watch the smoke during as it will blow in your face quite a bit due to the configuration of the room and tables The service was amazing Many amazing ladies continuously checking up for meats, sides, asking if everything was ok, they never seemed annoyed and very patient and pleasant The music and chatter can get loud so don't be surprise when you have to speak louder for the person sitting next to you to hear you Certainly a place to return for good service quality meats and fair price points and really strong customer service! read more

My sister and I stopped by MOON BBQ right when they were opening. At first we were terrified to see how lonely the place was. But after a while, people began to show up, QUICKLY. Lucky for us, we arrived 10 to 15 mins before they opened and were seated quickly. The servers and staff were so attentive and accommodating. Constantly bringing us sides and water without having to ask. They even brought us a bowl of their miso soup once we settled in. It was really good. The meat quality was excellent. No complaints at all. One of our favorite choices was the Marinated Beef Short Ribs. It was one of our favorite choices. The ambiance was great, the music selection was great and for it being a small location, it filled up... FAST. By the time we were done, there was no parking and a line waiting to be seated. One of the rare places in the area and it was about $35 :) They have a ton of sides: kimchi, salad, pickled coleslaw, pickled radish, rice paper, mashed potatoes, and cilantro. The meat was really good, but you have to cook it yourself. They switched the grills too often though so some of the meat got stuck because not enough fat got on it and the grill got too hot before they brought in the meat/they didn't tell us we could turn down the temp... It might take you a minute to catch up to their pace, especially in the relatively small space. I recommend deciding what you want before sitting down. We weren't quite ready, but we found the busy, bustling vibe to be hilarious and enjoyable. That said, the service is excellent, which is probably why people keep coming back. The kimchi, beef brisket, and soy sauce chicken were my favorites. Not sure why the potato salad was sweet, but a beer helped wash that down. If you go, go to eat. BEST AYCE in South Bay!! Also the best place for small intestines! We come here at least twice a month and the quality is always consistently great! The servers are very quick with everything. Sometimes it does get busy though, so you'll have to be a little patient when it's packed. Our favorites are always brisket, beef belly, tenderloin and small intestines. Every once in a while, we get some pork belly and marinated short ribs too (but my bf doesn't really like marinated stuff so when we order I get a half portion all to myself). Banchan is always fresh and it's unlimited so ya know if you like something, you can keep it coming as long as you're not being wasteful. This place is a solid 5 star for kbbq! First time at an AYCE in LA and impressed with Moon BBQ and will set the bar for the other AYCE we will try during our stay here. The parking is pretty small but the manager helped us with getting a parking spot. There is also parking on the street if there are no spots available. When we got inside the atmosphere felt like a traditional Korean bbq restaurant. People are sitting close to each other but separated by plastic dividers. Korean music playing in the background and the sound of meat sizzling at every angle. We were helped by Kara and her service was excellent and we got our order in right away. We went with option A ($31.99 per person) which includes a total of 22 different meats. We went with brisket, spicy pork belly, sirloin and steamed egg to start us off. The meat felt premium especially the pork belly. We loved the brisket as well. Our favorite was the steamed egg. It was so good we had 3 orders of it! We went a total of 4 rounds of different meats from the menu. The sauces and sides they provide is also pretty good. Service is great and once you put your order in it'll come within a few minutes. I would recommend the spicy pork belly as it's thinner than the fresh pork belly. Brisket is a must. The pork skin was different but we had to try as that's not served in Hawaii AYCE locations. So happy we decided to choose this place to get our ayce kbbq fix! The environment is super lively with kpop blasting in the background, different parties loudly conversing amongst each other, and the workers happily interacting with all their guests. It was about a 15 minute wait to be seated on a Friday night at 8pm. The service was really quick and all the ladies working were attentive and treated you like an old friend. We never had to wait for a grill change and our rounds always came right after the other. We opted for option A, which was about $33/person. It included meats like brisket, tenderloin, two types of pork belly, short rib, and beef belly among others. All the meats we had were great quality; they were thinly sliced and didn't have too much fat. All the sides tasted fresh as well (potatoes were my favorite). We even got a complimentary bowl of soup with our meal. The only thing that kind of threw off my experience was that they had the next party that would be seated at our table standing basically right next to us. It kind of felt like we were being rushed out. Luckily, we were pretty much done anyways.
