I don't usually leave restaurant reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. Moon BBQ #2 has quickly become one of my favorite spots in LA. The quality of the meat is outstanding, the self-serve banchan bar is always fresh and delicious, and the overall atmosphere is fun, lively, and welcoming. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable, and the service is consistently excellent. A special shoutout to my favorite server, Jacob, who always goes above and beyond to make sure I have a great experience. Whether it's recommending dishes or helping cook everything to perfection, he genuinely elevates the whole meal! One of my favorite moves here is throwing some corn tortillas on the grill and making little KBBQ tacos... highly recommend trying that! For the price, I'd say the AYCE Kbbq experience here was worth it! As we finished our meal, there were a lot of people waiting outside because the waiting area isn't too big. I definitely recommend timing when to come here. The small lot for this spot was valet parking by the time it was 5PM. You can do that or street parking. The pricing goes by tiers and as of February 2026, we have A at 23.99, B at 29.99, and C at 34.99 per person. We got the B. Once they call your name and group, you pay already at the counter. For groups of 5+, there's 15% gratuity included. The meat quality of the brisket would be a 3/5 for me. Beef belly 5/5, LA galbi was 4/5. Flower steak was too tough 2/5 and rib fingers were 4/5. The server we had was efficient and changed our grills a couple times. For the steamed egg, you can only order 1 for every 2 people, but us sharing it wasn't so bad as it was pretty fluffy. The miso and tofu soup had a kick of spice that I liked! Going to the bathroom is a bit cramped and definitely not for ADA since you walk through a narrow hallway where people sit at as they wait. The free salad bar is small and really more for sides! After 6 flags one of my son's friends requested if we can dine in at Korean Bbq. So I searched it up on Yelp on our way home to see which place was closest to where we were at. "MOON BBQ 2" showed up on my yelp search. When we arrived the parking was too small and tight , and you have to pay for the parking. Also there's a long line to dine in. I thought it would take forever before we could eat, but because we were 6 people we got accomodated right away 'coz a big table just opened up, we probably just waited like 10 mins. So before seating , they will ask you to pay first, if you have a group of more than 5 to 6 people, there's an automatically 15% tip charged already. Banchan and other side dishes are help yourself at their salad bar. We were seated with 2 grills, I assigned the second grill to my Son and his Friends and the other one was for me and my husband. There are 3 levels on their Menu and I chose only the minimum one they have 'coz we are with 4 teens and some were not familiar with Korean Bbq's or were not big eaters. But it worked, the teens enjoyed the food, but they were not able to try all of what was on the menu 'coz they kept Chatting more than eating ;) But me and my husband enjoyed it and were able to order everything on our menu level. Affordable AYCE KBBQ restaurant in LA that has 3 options to choose from. One pays before sitting down, which we found quite odd, but the quality of the meat is good, especially the bulgogi, which was marinated. The brisket was plentiful but a little dry/not as flavorful. The restaurant doesn't have many sauces to dip things in. They do have a "salad" bar with nice banchan options. This is my go to Kbbq. Best meat quality in all of Los Angeles. I have been to many Kbbq places and Moon beats all of them. They have a wide variety of sides to choose from and the macaroni salad is delicious. Waiters are also very friendly and they're always checking up on you to see if you're doing ok. The wait time is a bit long, usually 20 minutes to an hour but it really depends on what time of the day you go. Definitely worth it. I always recommend this spot when my office wants to go out and eat dinner. read more

The line to get in was already a red flag. We waited so long I forgot why I even came. At some point it stopped feeling like a restaurant and started feeling like a government office. Standing there starving while watching other people eat was actual psychological torture.Not only that a bus full of people 30-40 came and got served right away. The meat tasted like nothing and somehow everything at the same time--bland, burnt, salty, and wrong. The beef was chewy like gym mats, the chicken was dry like it had been air-fried by the sun, and the pork was so greasy it felt illegal. Every bite tasted like disappointment. The sauces were just different forms of soy sauce pretending to have personalities. The smoke got in my clothes, my hair, my soul, and I still left hungry. Brisket is ok. Worst 60 bucks (for 2) I've ever spent, no wonder they make you pay first before you eat. It was mandatory to grab a dessert nearby to wash that nasty taste off my palate. It's been so long since I've been here and it is still amazing as it was during the pandemic. Now there's better seating and a self serve salad bar which was amazing. Still have to pay upfront but it's honestly better that way once you're done you leave. I came across this restaurant just looking for a place to eat when I was hungry. The food quality was average, nothing special, but acceptable for the price. It's definitely budget friendly and easy to visit without worrying too much about cost. One of the servers, Alex, was very friendly. However, he didn't give me the space or time to actually enjoy my meal:( He lingered at my table, If you're not in a hurry and have time to spare, this might not be a big issue but for me, it took away from the overall dining experience. I ended up leaving without feeling fully satisfied.. His excessive friendliness, while perhaps well intentioned, also seemed to delay service at other tables too The overall pace of the meal was slow, and conversations dragged on to the point where they interrupted the natural flow of eating. This is my go-to spot for cheap kbbq eats. There is a small parking lot with $5 valet, but no more than 8 spots are available at any given time so you have to try your luck with street parking. They changed their policy so you pay before you eat. You definitely get what you pay for--the meat isn't high quality but if you're looking for late night kbbq without breaking the wallet, it definitely does the job. Be aware that the seating is SPACIOUS but absolutely no ventilation and no ac on my previous visit. There is also a serve yourself bar with all the bachans and some small appetizers. Service is friendly, and they check up on you frequently! My only complaint is that they have the entire wait staff do their rotational check up every 5 minutes-- but at least you know they're making sure everything is okay with your meal. read more

One of the FEW KBBQ opened later at night on Sundays. Seeing how low the reviews were, I was a bit wary of going here, but we had people in our party who never had Korean BBQ before or wanted to get it after a long weekend at AX, so we bit the bullet. Parking is AWFUL here. The lot in front is puny, even with so many businesses around. The only option is valet if you want to park there or to circle around to get street parking. We ended up doing street parking and only walking 2-3 blocks. This was past 8 PM. The strategy is to get the OPTION B ($24.99) menu. Best bang for your buck and this menu offers the most in comparison to the other options. You pay up front first and if you order extras later on, you can tack that on and pay afterwards. There's a banchan self serve buffet, which I think is a great idea since less food is wasted if you're portioning it yourselves. They have rice, rice paper, salad with the vinaigrette, pickled radish, potato salad, macaroni salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, corn, and spring onions. I really liked the macaroni and potato salad, mixed it with their kimchi juice and spicy sauce. Enjoyed it ! DEFINITELY ORDER HALF ORDERS TOO SO YOU DON'T GET TOO FULL ! From the Option B menu, we got the: 1) Marinated Beef Bulgogi: -Standard beef bulgogi. Not bad. 2) Pork Steak: -This had to cook a bit longer and be cut by the sticky scissors that they have there. Also alright. 3) Small Intestine: -I don't usually like intestine at KBBQ but what they gave us nicely curled up and became crispy after grilling. Cleaned it pretty well. Not my favorite, but someone in our party ordered this multiple times. 4) LA Short Rib (maximum 2 orders per person): -A MUST. -Maximize this order to the amount of people in your party. We got as much of the LA short rib as possible. -Very nicely seasoned with the sweet BBQ marinade sauce. The meat was so tender it literally SLID OFF the rib. -I'm usually just okay with LA short rib, but this was some of the best that I have had at a KBBQ. 5) Boneless Short Rib Cube: -Nice and tender meat, already cut in small cubes for easy eating and cooking. 6) Thinly Sliced Pork Belly: -Yummy and nicely crispy with how thinly the pieces are cut. -Definitely the play if you want something quick and yummy without waiting for thicker slices of pork belly to cook. 7) Rib Finger Meat: -Not sure why it's called finger meat when it comes from the rib. -But the pieces are small and bite sized, kind of like finger food. -We let this char a bit and it was pretty yummy. 8) Sausage: -Can't go wrong with some sliced hot dog! 9) Herb Pork Belly: -Definitely my favorite pork belly dish here! Strong rosemary flavoring that sticks to the meat even after super crispy cooking. -I'd get this again too. 10) Spicy Sliced Pork: -Not really that spicy, mostly just drenched in a gochujang sauce. -Definitely a slightly thicker cut. I'd skip this just for cooking time sake. 11) Prime Flower Steak: -We had no idea what this was but it was one of the limited menu items that option A did not have and it did sound fancy. -Apparently it's the marbling that makes the steak resemble a blooming flower, I believe? It came out frozen so we had to be careful cooking this on the grill. -Decently tender steak meat, not bad. 12) Corn Cheese (1 order/2 person): -Good amount of corn cheese. Can't go wrong with a simple dish like this. 13) Steamed Egg (1 order/2 person): -Pretty big portion. It was a bit soggy though with how much water was in it, so I'd skip this if I went here again. Service was pretty attentive. We had our grills changed several times and we were able to get extra water throughout our time there. Our dishes were cleared pretty quickly too, as well as getting our meat orders. Definitely worth it for the cheaper price in comparison to the other KBBQ in the area, especially since it is open so late. The music is pretty loud though and not going to lie, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, but beggars can't be choosers. Solid place to get KBBQ later at night! read more
