This was when she worked in a salon in Rancho Cucamonga, but when she moved to her own salon in Fontana, I knew I had to follow her! I loved the way she listened to my requests, even when I wasn't quite sure exactly how to describe them. She *got me*. I have wavy/curly hair so I'm particular about how it lays. We worked together to come up with a cut that flattered and went with my hair's particular needs. The other things I wanted were to cover my grays and get highlights done. She color matched my hair perfectly (she *truly* knows what she's doing). Plus, my highlights are a-mazing! I just love them. I felt like it was meant to be because it just all worked out so well and booking online was so easy. I booked a 90 minute appointment with Bitali for the Moisturizing Head Spa service. The location was easy for me to find because I know the area well, but if you're unfamiliar I put up photos of the door and its relation to a business that's easy to spot from the street. It's the door just to the left of Jersey's Pizza. The stairs lead you up to the hallway where you'll wait. She opens the door right at the time of your service. I liked the energy in the waiting area. The hallway is filled with business doors where women are getting their hair or nails done. There are also some aestheticians who have doors in the hallway. I liked the chatter from all the ladies taking care of themselves. It is a very joyful and beautiful space. Once I was in the room, I was greeted and instructed to remove my top clothing and sit in the chair with my towel robe. Bitali did a visual assessment with a scalp camera and explained what we were looking at throughout. After that I laid out and she went to work. It was so relaxing! I savored every minute of peace I had laying there. After the final rinse out, I got back in the chair to do a reassessment of my scalp. I got dressed and left with my hair wet. Once it dried out, my hair was the softest it's ever been. The whole experience was well worth it. I feel great and will be back regularly!

I would argue this was better than a therapy session. If you're dealing with a lot of stress, just had a baby or just need a good scalp reset, Bitali is your girl! I was totally speechless when she asked how it was for me because I was insanely relaxed after she was done. I hope I get to do this again soon!

I have been a client of Melissa's for over 5 years, and this salon is one of my favorite locations…read more It has an edgy-raw-retro vibe that I absolutely adore. It is tucked away from the main entrance on State St. in downtown Redlands, which makes it even more of a hidden gem. Melissa is a phenomenally talented stylist. She has always known exactly how to treat my ultra-thick, wavy hair so that it won't frizz or end up looking too weighty. I always trust her with recommendations from new product lines and have yet to be disappointed with everything she uses in her styling chair. I also highly recommend her undercutting technique, as it give things that je ne c'est quoi everyone is loving lately. If you have qualms about getting a certain color done, ask her about it! She will give her honest opinion and will take you through the process step-by-step. Personally, I have never had my hair look so naturally luminous before I started going to her; now I receive compliments all the time. To fellow product junkies like myself: One of the coolest parts of this salon is the featured product line R+Co. Blended in collaboration with some of the best stylists in the hair industry, the line is a hit. The products themselves smell amazing and are all fantastic for color treated hair... (It certainly doesn't hurt that the packaging is clever and cute, either!). Snip, snip & enjoy!
