About 2 months ago I was run off the road by a semi on the freeway. my truck went into a ditch that was full of nails and I ended up with about 10 nails in my tire believe it or not I made it to my destination. But the minute I stepped out of my truck I could hear the hissing of air escaping my truck tires. It was 7 at night in glendora which is about 30 miles from where I live. I knew I was in trouble because most of the tire shops would be closed. I hit the search engine on my phone and this tire store was the only one that was still answering their phone at 7:30 pm. The owner came to where I was. He changed my tire. AAA also showed up but there wasn't much they could do so they just helped mood put a new tire on my truck. I followed mood to his shop. He repaired the rim on my track replaced my spare and got it back up under the truck bed where it goes. What I really liked about these guys was they were very friendly and cordial. I wish I lived closer to them because they would be my go-to mechanics and tire people forever. I highly recommend the shop, they are very honest. I bought a lightly used tire from them for $100. ( New they are $300 and I didn't have it) I stuck a quarter in it in Several places three-quarters of the way deep. So it really had not been used all that much and it was less than a year old. Mood told me it was salvaged of a truck that had been totaled after its engine had gone bad. I got a really great deal. Mood rotated my tires and balance them for free. To satisfy my partner after the fact I had the tires checked out by my local dealership when I was getting some other work done on the truck. They told me that I got tires that probably only had about a thousand miles on them, so I got a good deal. I can't think these guys enough for helping me out in that situation. I brought my car to this location when my censor for my tires kept going off. They were very thorough in how checked each individual tire for holes. They didn't find any and determined it was a problem with my censor. They did not even charge anything for their services and time. This is an updated review. I am extremely satisfied with Mood and his shop. They took care of me and got my car back on the road. He is a man of his word and stands behind his work. I can't say enough. My car broke down 19 miles away. He had my car towed in and fixed my starter & balanced the tires. They solved my overheating problem on a previous visit and I bought 4 new tires from them. They also changed my oil. I don't live in the area so I didn't know who to take my car to but I am glad I found his shop. He has also guaranteed me a warranty of 75,000 miles on tires, radiator and 45,000 miles on thermostat. I came to this shop after my car broke down. I would have given 0 STARS if I can. When my engine broke down, I suggested the issue (which I learned from my towing company) to him and made sure that he would clearly fix the problem. After a couple of days, I attempted to call him, he never would return my calls. When he finally did pick up after calling him multiple times, he said my car was ready. I arrived, expecting my car to be fixed and ready to go, but later I found out from my trusted mechanic that Mood actually put some type of fluid and replaced the cam sensor in the engine that temporarily "fixed" the issue and actually DESTROYED MY ENGINE (my trusted mechanic said my compression is 0). After messing with the engine, he called me to come to shop. I hoped it was all fixed, only to realize the ignition barely worked and Mood said, "I can only drive this car at the moment." Are you serious Mood? I need to drive the car! So I decided to take my car to my trusted mechanic after Mood returned my car to its original state. Later, I found out he screwed up my engine and the compression read 0. Please do not go to this man. He showed up buzzed and very unprofessional. This mechanic actually destroyed my car. I rely on my car every day to commute back and forth, but Mood broke my car's engine and it looks like I have to spend an additional $2000 to replace my car's engine. DO NOT COME HERE. This timeframe is from feb 10-feb 28,2020. I went to mood auto to get 4 new shocks installed, ebcm module that fixes the Antilock brake light, transmission flush, fuel injector cleaning, and wheel alignment. I went to his shop 5 times!!! And the first time they installed the wrong shocks! They didn't call me prior to installing them. I didn't realize it wasn't the correct one until I drove home and called him back. I called mood and told him that it was "riding like a horse". I took it back to mood and he said it was "the wrong shocks and it was unsafe". I had to ask him to replace it which he did. BUT it still had noises. I had to take it somewhere closer to where I live because it was too unsafe to drive. Turns out he installed the shocks without the necessary parts and left a huge gap to the frame. VERY UNSAFE!! And on top of that. The ABS light was still going off and the wheel alignment was still off!! I spent $780 to get these items fixed and had to spend another $110 somewhere else because it was too unsafe to take it back to him. to this date he said the abs brake system and the wheel alignment was fixed. I went to Mood after a string of events-my car started howling on the freeway in the morning, I knew that my previous mechanic had told me there was a problem with the wheel-it needs to be replaced within the next 1000 miles, but I just bought this car used and I had spent all my savings on it. I had just lost my job as well, as they had laid off numerous locations' employees overnight with no notice. It's a hard time for me. I brought my car to this place after my classes ended around 6pm, and my usual mechanic wasn't open, so I just decided it must be a tire problem and went to the nearest Goodyear. I almost went to another place, but they were just so rude to me about everything, even over the phone. When I went to Mood, I was very confused about it being a mechanic-I thought it was a Goodyear. Turns out it was both. They also had my tire in stock, which I asked about. Worst of all, my light suddenly started blinking erratically-apparently that meant that it was out, but I didn't know until they told me. They fixed everything for me, quickly, and empathized with my situation. If I have a tire that needs taken care of that is not an emergency, I will go to them. As for mechanics, I will go to them or my usual, they're both good and I really like both. WOW!!! I have to say that this place saved my ass! I am not from this area but I found myself up there helping a friend move, when my brakes went out!!! Being as it was a Sunday (and a holiday weekend) I scrambled to find a place that was even open! When I frantically called (and explained my situation) the owner reassured me that he could help me and that it would be ok :) needless to say.... The owner kept his shop open 2 hours late, showed me the damaged brakes and rotors, and gave me a discount that basically put him at a loss JUST so I could get back home to my family!!!!!!! I am so grateful to this place! Honestly good people work here and actually care about your safety and well-being. I came in to get my car checked out after it slid on the ice up north and he found that my alignment and brakes needed some tlc. He even found a nail in one of my tires, and my front right tire was badly damaged after the accident. Honestly, I wish I could get 100 stars out of 5 stars to Mood and his team here. Here's why: Last Thursday, I brought my '97 Rav4 for an oil change. Mood's shop is one of the few that are open late (because I get home from work around 7-8 PM status). I actually called in and asked if it was okay to bring my car almost to closing time on Friday night, and Mood assured me that it was fine. I realized that I needed to be in SD on Friday by a certain time, so I dropped by Thursday. Mood welcomed me as if I was an old friend and immediately started working on my car. Now, this is my first car and I am pretty clueless about cars. I asked Mood if he could explain to me how to do an oil change. Not only did Mood explain to me how to do that, he also taught me what to inspect under my hood. He then explained to me the several issues with my car-- a diagnosis without charge! Mood stated he didn't charge for the diagnosis because his top priority was my safety, and him saying that made me feel like he really cared about helping me and my clueless self. I stayed at Mood's shop almost close to 10 or 11 PM. The oil change didn't take that long. It was fixing my driver's side door that took a long time, and I couldn't be more grateful that it's fixed. I had told Mood that it wouldn't open from the inside and outside. His colleague, Hassan, had to climb from the passenger side to drive my car in for the oil change. I really did just came in for the oil change, but Mood and Hassan took it upon themselves to fix my door. After laboring away for two hours, they fixed it! I profusely thanked them. I couldn't be any more happy and appreciative of the level of service Mood and Hassan provided that day. As I told Mood, I will be a client for life. After having enclosure with the what can only be described as the turd of doom - I found myself in need of a shop. Pretty quickly. At night. This is already off to a great start. Mood was the only shop I could find nearby - I limped off the freeway, had to get a tow, and made right before they closed. I wasn't greeted with any manner of "we'll take a look in the morning" rather, before a word was uttered, the tire on trial was hanging by a bolt and off to get inspected a moment after. A patch job on a 1" hole and a few body clips later - my car was able to drive again and hold pressure. Nevermind that I had them stuck there 30 minutes past closing. Damned Doomturd. read more

Except for engine related work, I usually fix my cars because I have time and skills to do so. Mostly though, I do it myself because I'm tired to to deal with overpriced jobs and dishonest mechanics that, often time try to push parts and labors, for issues that don't even exist in the first place... That being said, I'm not from the area - doing summer fieldwork in the Big Bear area - and found Mood by luck. I bought a truck from a used car dealer in Ontario that needed a suspension overhaul. I was in a bind for time so I asked the car dealer if he could recommend a good mechanic I could trust to do the work. Though he's usually reluctant to recommend a mechanic, he made an exception and directed me to Mood. I contacted Mood and told him what I needed over the phone. He told me he was going to look for parts and was upfront with labor cost which was around $30/ cheaper then most other car shop around. Now keep in mind that he and his crew are very busy and even if they are open 8am-8pm - 7 days a weeks, they do get swamped and for Mood to answer every single calls - he handles all phone calls- and return all messages is literally impossible. So, you have to keep trying to reach him and he will answer eventually and usually the same day. I picked up my truck a day after memorial day - and of course a very busy weekend. The truck wasn't ready when I showed up - because there had been issues getting the right size coil springs - but Mood had made a promise to get my truck out of the shop before closing that evening and kept it... He and his crew worked until just before 10 pm that evening to make it happen. And best of all, although visibly tired, the crew kept a great attitude and was very nice to have me stick around and drop chat from time to time. I ended up also having him fix my car A/C and leaking engine gasket and after spending 5 hours doing all that work he ended up charging me the equivalent of what 1.5 hours labor would have cost anywhere else. Mood is one of the rare honest mechanics out there and when you call him he takes upon himself to make sure that your ride will take you back home safely without leaving huge hole in your wallet. Bear in mind that he does quality work and that he doesn't cheap out on parts but along with his labor he had a very strong warranty. I'm so grateful to have found this place! Everyone treats you like you are part of the family and make you want to come back. read more
