Exuberant wait staff. Actually had two people working our table outside. Beautiful day so we sat street-side. Food very good. Daughter ate and I had fresh sweet potato fries. Hit the spot. My daughter really liked her sandwich and side coleslaw. This place really got busy at lunchtime. Saw many dishes look appealing that walked by in the waiter's hands! Can't order it all but will so be back!!!! The bar inside was hopping considering it was a weekday but who am I to judge!?! I am retired. lol The area is nice and lots if people watching to be had on the sidewalk. Wait was little long but homemade it takes time. Cold drinks kept full and next time will try inside seating. I will bring my appetite too! read more

Bad staff and Service it's like they like who they want too and the sitting is not at all ideal for kids

We've eaten at Carmello's a few times, but the last time was a few years ago and we had heard about Monza, their 'less formal' restaurant concept and have been wanting to try it just never had a chance to go.... Until last weekend! We came here for dinner and were told there would be a 30 minute wait, which was fine with us, so we decided on some wine in the bar while waiting. The two bartenders working were very friendly, personable and knowledgeable... and VERY HELPFUL too! They found us a table in the bar area where we were able to sit immediately... awesome!! Their menu is awesome on its own, but they also have Carmello's menu to offer as well, as they use the same kitchen! Our server (I'm sorry I forgot to ask her name, but she's new and my receipt said "PM B") told me to try their meatballs, advising they had awesome meatballs... so I did and WOW, she was right! I'm very very very picky when it comes to meatballs, as my wife makes the BEST meatballs, PERIOD! Meatballs have to have the right ratio of meat, have to be seasoned perfectly (dry spices as well as fresh herbs) and MUST BE SOFT, not hard and packed tight. Meatballs should never be crunchy nor tough either! Their meatballs were all beef and were EXCELLENT!! The sauce and cappellini was awesome too! We enjoyed all the food we ordered and definitely liked the vibe too! We will most definitely return and can't wait for the next visit! read more

Called ahead on a rainy Saturday and was told there was no wait. We arrived and were seated immediately, the restaurant had less than 10 parties. Waited 20 minutes and the server never came for our drink order so we left and went next door to Lume! If your restaurant is dead the least you can do is have good service...... read more

TL;DR: Decent food, great service; slightly expensive in terms of value Came here on a Sunday night for dinner and was very pleased with the entire experience. The inside has a bar-ish atmosphere, which was great since there were playoff games playing. But also had a more upscale feel to it. Service was very friendly and attentive. The tables are all separated to ensure social distancing, and all the staff wear masks. FOOD: Mozzarella Sticks: typical cheese sticks. Came out piping hot, so the cheese pull was perfect and melty. Baked Spinach and Artichoke Crab Dip: Pretty good! The spinach were in larger pieces than I expected, but the flavor was great. Served with tortilla chips, but we asked for it with sliced bread as well (very good) Chipotle Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Pretty good sandwich Curly fries: I looooove curly fries. They are a must order (as a side or separate order) Monza Flatbread Pizza: I really like this flatbread. It had a lot of meat, but not as much as the meathead pizza (which seemed a bit heavier). It came out nice and hot, with the right amount of toppings on it Overall, the experience was really good! I will say, it is a little over-priced for what it is, but still a cute spot in Old Town - good for a date night. read more

The food here is excellent! It was so good that we came back for a second time in the 5 days that we were in town visiting family. The pot roast was delicious and so was the chicken piccata. The first time we had Zach as our waiter and the second time we had Joseph. The waiters were really great on both occasions. They were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is casual but cozy. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Apparently, I started a review for Monza but never finished it. Shame on me. Monza is definitely one of the better dining choices in old town Manassas. The food is reasonably priced, the service is good, and the beer and wine list is good. Food choices are a mix of American, Italian and Portuguese. The pizzas are superior, on the Nova scale, that is. It does confuse me a little bit that you can't get Chourico as a pizza topping, considering the Portuguese background. Chourico on pizza is a pretty standard thing back in RI, because of the heavy Portuguese influence. Otherwise, a solid dining choice, when the pandemic ends. read more

My wife and I have been here a few times and it's always been decent, but this time was different. My wife doesn't typically like steak from the US but still we took a chance on the London broil substituting the french fries for sweet potato fries and upgrading the broccoli to a Cobb salad for a few dollars extra. We could not have been more happy with our order! The mushroom gravy with that beefy medium cooked steak hit the spot and was complimented perfectly by the Cobb salad. The sweet potato fries were thicker and more potato ye than your typical while still having the crispy outside to balance the soft inside, maybe I am just hoping but I think they were a more healthy style of sweet potato fries lol and if you're weird like me ask for a side of blue cheese dip so you can mix it with the cinnamon that you brought and enjoy it on top of your sweet potato fries... By the way sign up online and you can get $20 off as a birthday gift to Monza or the white tablecloth fancy restaurant connected to it called Carmello's read more

Nice modern place. Not crowded for a Monday lunch. I got an Arugula pizza. The pizzas are almost personal but you may not be able to finish the last 2-3 slices. I recommend eating half only or sharing with one other person if you are not starving. The arugula had very thick and a lot of pieces of prosciutto. Not what I was expecting. It was a little too much of it. But overall, tasted pretty good. Just your average nice pizza. It was slightly on the oily side. Servers are super nice. Refilled my water many times and checked up on us. They even sprinkle parmesan on your meal for you. read more

We picked this place for the beer selection. What was on the beer list needs to be updated on Yelp. The pizza was perfectly prepared and Tiffany could not have been any better as a waitress. The WiFi was down and Verizon cellular signal was weak. read more

Good spot in old town Manassas. Easy to find corner location with lots of seating. Fantastic craft beer menu and whoever creates their music playlists must have access to my Spotify! #Swoon We went on a cold Monday night and it looked like just regulars at the bar. Decided to enjoy the outdoors and arrived with a party of 4. We were seated very quickly and all the people working wore masks which is awesome. For drinks, I ordered the rum and coke and later a mojito. Both were solid. The food we got were mostly appetizers such as the calamari, buffalo chicken dip, and the wings. The calamari was okay, the pieces were not as big as I would've wanted and I felt I was eating more batter than actual meat. The buffalo chicken dip was my favorite. Very tasty and there was a good amount of chicken in it. The fried wings were also great as we got sweet and sour flavor with ranch. The pieces could've been slightly bigger but the price justified the size. Our waiter was on point and filled up our waters and got our orders on time. There was live music playing too so it was a nice occasion for everyone to enjoy. read more

We went to the Monza after an event. They were super busy and short staffed. I didn't get the name of our waiter but we had three different staff checking on us. Great service. The food was very good. I had the chicken piccata, hubby had the ribs. The chicken was good but the ribs were great! They got the 5th star because my Old Fashion cocktail was tops. This rating is for my most recent experience where I called to order a large Cobb salad. When I think large I think a decent portion. I was asked if I wanted chicken and I said yes, however the pictures will show that I paid $23.55 minus tip for their "large" salad. I returned and Peter, the manager confirmed the portion were correct. However 8.50 for that amount of chicken is crazy. He was kind enough to knock $5 off the order. Victor however, the guy who took my order over the phone did state in front of me and the manager, "oh the chicken price is the same whether you order small or large so make sure you tell people that." Really Victor? You failed to say that over the phone to me and then you throw out it out there after the fact. Buyer beware that Victor is not honest over the phone and make sure you ask for pricing before ordering. read more

The menu looked quite appealing; however my meal left much to be desired. The Shrimp Scampi came with heavy sauce which was more like an Alfredo. The waiter was slow and not very attentive. The service was awesome, the drinks were great, the food was really good...but the business charges you a fee for processing your credit card. This kind of cost is called overhead, the cost of running a business. Every accounting textbook will tell you these cost are the responsibility of the business, not the consumer. Therefore, charging these cost is completely unacceptable. I encourage you not to sponsor this business unless you are ok with paying their cost to run a business. read more

Second time at Monza and it was just as great as the first time. The service was awesome thanks to Carlos, food was very delicious and my Sangria was high on the alcohol, which is always an A+ in my book. Mozzarella Sticks- deep fried, cheesy goodness! The marinara sauce was nice and hot and the cheese pulled apart just the way it should. Monza Pizza- A toned down version of the meathead pizza with pepperoni, italian sausage, chicken and marinara sauce. It was pretty good I enjoyed all the meats but the dough was too chewy. I do like the thin crust style. Creme Brulee- my favorite part of the meal!!! The custard was a bit thicker than how I've had other creme brulee but it was still melt in your mouth deliciousness. It was sweet, rich and topped with a perfect hard caramel. I can't wait to come back and try their other items - to the pizza and pasta, it all sounds very good. It's a great place for big groups, hanging out and relaxing. read more

My wife and I and hopped in on a busy Spring time Saturday afternoon. Our server was awesome (Anna) and our food was delicious. We were feeling fairly peckish, so we started with the spinach artichoke dip (with plenty of chips) and the bacon-wrapped, stuffed jalapeños. For entrees - my wife got the spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the biscuits and gravy (still in time to order brunch). I did not take pictures of the delicious food - trust me, 'twas quite delicious. We will be back. read more

Excellent dinner tonight at Monza on 9405 Battle Street in Old Towne Manassas. Such great food.  Salads and Soups were on point.  Full and Hearty Salads, Delicious Soups, Breads or other Apps can start you off.  Then order Pizza.  Any one of their Pizza flavors comes in Flatbread or Pie.  All are so, so very good.  Freshly made ingredients, cooked well in the brick oven, little to zero grease or oil, absolutely superb. A Beer, Wine, and Cocktail list that seems to go on forever, you'll have something on the Drinks menu to wet the whistle for sure. Dessert to follow can be one of six items on the Dessert menu.  We chose the Crème Brulee and a slice of the Hazelnut Chocolate Cake.  Both were extraordinary. Service:  We lucked out tonight with Maddie.  She's fabulous, fast, on point, friendly, and all over the place.  Maddie was excellent! Overall A+ Dinner tonight at Monza in Manassas.  We loved our first visit to this Sister restaurant of Carmello's next door. read more

Recently opened in the space next to Carmello's & Little Portugal. Viva Italiano! A nice upscale casual dining establishment in old town Manassas, bella! They offer a nice variety of Italian. Mostly traditional fare in a casual dining environment. The Lasagna Bolognese, sabroso! An excellent selection of appetizers, salads. sandwiches and burgers. A great bar area, a couple of plasmas and a well stocked bar with all your favorites. A nice selection of top shelf Whiskey, Vodka & Tequila. They have Peroni on tap! Check out the wood grain looking bar, it looks like real wood but it's actually concrete covered with clear coat polyurethane. On the weekends, check out the brunch with pork chops, pork tenderloin, pasta, fresh salad and new potatoes and custom made omelets made by Chef Jose...all for $15 bucks. Mike & Sean will take care of all your beverage requests. Live music on Friday evenings. A guy and an acoustic or two guys and two acoustic, but mellow music.
