No means No. After an evaluation/estimate, I scheduled the work to be done- trimming and thinning of 2 mature backyard trees. On the scheduled day no one showed up! I waited all day! I tried to contact them and finally heard back in the afternoon from Nestor who texted that his "tree cutter" called in sick (the day after July 4th...). He wanted to come the next day and offered $50 off. I replied with a text saying, "No thank you." Unbelievably, early the next morning I awoke to them driving up and entering my backyard to bring in their chainsaws. I told them to leave. Many missteps. read more

Just finished a long overdue tree trimming of the entire back yard. Nestor is very reasonable price and so much easier to deal with compared to the 10 other businesses I called prior to getting his info. He arrived on time (on a weekend). Came prepared with truck, supplies and mulch machine. All the crew were well equipped with the proper equipment and safety equipment which is important because I don't want people to get hurt on the job. They trimmed my giant tree, cut down a dead tree, pruned and blew down the roof and gutters. They worked efficiently and cleaned up everything when done. I had him prune my trees a few years back, did a good job. Trees need pruning again so I called him. He promised on four different dates he would come out and do the job and he has never shown up. He ignores my phone calls and won't call me back. Very undependable. I'm 71 years old and I guess I'll have to climb up the trees and do it myself. read more

Nestor has done tree trimming for me and a neighbor in the past and now has removed a very large pecan tree for me including stump grinding. He removed everything and left the valuable wood in fireplace lengths for me which I will have split after it dries out for a month or so. These guys are fast, neat, cleaned up everything and are extremely professional and knowledgeable about tree care. I was pleased with the pricing and the proposal, very fair, for such hard work. I called Nestor on a Monday or Tuesday. He answered the phone and said he would look at the job in a few hours. He called that evening, said he was working in Davis this week,and could do the work I needed Saturday or Monday, and he gave me a reasonable price to trim a tree and remove its branches which had fallen on the roof. He also suggested work on several other trees in the yard, and said he had bucket trucks which would do the job. Since I was out of town, he said he would take photos and text to me, showing me which trees he thought needed work. I indicated that yes, I was interested and to go ahead with the work on the original tree (and fallen branches) right away because it was a danger hanging over a parking space. And let me know which day so I could tell the tenants of that house. I heard nothing more from Nester. I never received photos. I called (for three weeks), he will not pick the phone, and his voice mailbox is full. I texted to him several times and asked him to go ahead and do the original tree while I waited for his estimate and suggestions about the rest of the (six) trees that he suggested trimming. Now a month later, I have still not heard from him. Any company that does not have "time" or courtesy to make a simple response after giving a price and even a date for work is certainly not a company I want to do business with. read more

Worked with Nestor to remove a few trees and ivy on our property for a very reasonable price, but I guess you get what you pay for. They left a bunch of ivy on our fence still and our tree was not properly cut, as all the branches that were left started to break. He came back to fix the tree (for a price even though it was their error) and to take the rest of the ivy down. They tried to only take down part of the ivy and then left everything for us to pick up. Horrible service. Always late. And never returned my calls to come back to pick up their mess. read more

I moved to a new home with trees that desperately needed trimming right away especially the 2 huge palms (80+ years old) that had dropped a ton of fronds. Nestor's price was much, much better that 2 other companies that provided quotes and he was able to come out in a few days to do the work. He let me know it would take 2 days but they knocked it out all in one day and did an amazing job. They trees look much healthier with all the dead limbs etc trimmed off. Nestor and his crew also cleaned the yard and took care of all the trimmings - he has his own chipper truck. The last bonus with Nestor was that he know all about the types of tree I had - one tree I was unsure of and he knew right away it was an almond tree. I also was thinking of cutting down the very old walnut tree in the back for fear that it might die and fall on our house and the neighbor's house. He showed me signs that the tree was still very healthy and just needed a good trimming which he did. Overall I was thrilled with his service and I will definitely be using his services again. We had a scheduled time of 7 P.M. for an estimate. Nestor showed up at 4 P.M. - three hours early. Wouldn't have been so bad but I had another contractor who showed up at 4 P.M. to give an estimate per my plans. Made for a very awkward situation. I waited with some anticipation for Nestor to return at 7 P.M. but he was a no-show. I cannot reflect on their work but a call would have been in order given their early availability.
