I have called them out several times on items ringing up incorrectly. They always correct it, but how many others do not notice and are overcharged?

Apparently the tiny little thing had wandered into the store from the trailer park next door. The store workers had been unable to catch her and told my stepmom that if she could catch her, she could have her. That is how we ended up with the newest member of our family - Miss Ingles. She is just the cutest little tiger striped thing I have ever met. She made my trip home for the holidays this year much more delightful. As for the store itself, in addition to their selection of kittens, they also have a fabulous selection of groceries. Now that I have been living in San Francisco for so long, I just wander the aisles marveling at all the choices every time I come here. Every thing always seems insanely cheap to me too. The box of grits that cost me over 5 bucks and was impossible to find in San Francisco costs less than half the price here. The cashiers, usually teenagers, are always really friendly. I enjoy hearing their accents when they say things like - do you want the bags in the BUGGY or do you want to carry them out? My fiance has been giving me hell for my use of the word buggy for several years now, so I feel comforted on my trips to the homeland when I realize that I am neither alone nor crazy. Well, I might be crazy, but it ain't for my use of the word buggy!

The Mahi Mahi is one of the best fish sandwiches in the lake area. Hand cut fries are always a nice treat. This time I tried the pecan crusted chicken salad dressing on side. Chicken was heavily crusted and good for deep fried chicken. They need to be so much MORE generous with the apple and other toppings at that price point. Tables are clean, you do your own pick up. No options to tip. Hours are limited and I do wish they were open on Sunday but, welcome to the South. A market is attached, items vary and have many local choices. Meat prices are high, like real high. Overall, a fun place to stop.

While it was good, nothing was truly hot. Both the CFS and MPs were warm, with the gravy being barely as warm. Though, the BePs, were warmest. However, I found, the CFS to be on the dry side. While the Cornbread was firm, it was good. Unfortunately, they charged me for 3 sides, instead of just 2. So, because of this, I didn't give a voluntary tip. Fortunately, Chris had gotten some Kenyan Hot Sauce, which I tried on the CFS. And, it really helped with the taste. Sadly, they only 1, 10 oz bottle, which I let them have. And, I bought a 5 oz bottle. The HS has a unique texture, but isn't "hot" in the traditional sense.

I've been living in Middle Georgia for three years and somehow just discovered The Fresh Market. I…read morehave Yelp to thank for this life update, while in town casually strolling to see what grocery stores Macon had, it popped up in my search. When I lived in Atlanta, this was my go to grocery store, so imagine my excitement realizing there's one within a 35-mile radius of me now. Cue the happy dance in the parking lot. It's tucked into a large shopping center, so there's plenty of space to pull up, park, and prepare to spend more time (and money) than you originally planned. The moment I walked in, I was hit with the comforting aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, basically the grocery store version of a warm hug. On top of that, every employee I passed greeted me. Everyone was genuinely friendly and eager to help, which made the experience even better. I felt like a kid in a very upscale, health conscious candy store. If you're trying to eat better, this place makes it dangerously easy to stay on track. They have everything, fresh squeezed juices, exotic fruits and veggies, prepared meals, plus a quality meat and seafood department. Don't even get me started on the baked goods and yes they offer vegan and gluten-free pastries, self control was tested. I was especially impressed with their dairy free selection. There were plenty of yogurt and milk alternatives, which made this non-dairy girl feel seen and supported. One of my favorite parts was the snack displays. There were so many unique, better for you options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. I grabbed a bag of herb-seasoned popcorn on a whim and let me tell you, it did not disappoint 10 out of 10. The store itself is quaint, but don't let the size fool you I easily spent an hour exploring, especially the seasonal items. Between the fresh flowers, quality products, and overall inviting vibe, this place is officially back in my rotation. It may be "close ish," but it's absolutely worth the trip.

I picked up some chocolate as a little treat to myself while here. All in all, this was a positive experience.

It would be nice to have an employee that knows about cheese that is there to answer questions during prime store hours. (Have been there 6 times and no employee. The deli staff does not know the flavors) Produce department is getting better! Variety is growing and the prepared items look fresh. There is a lack of fresh herbs, just plastic boxed ones. Seafood department has a wide variety. New sushi display with "freshly in house made rolls". Cashiers are quick and always friendly. I have seen more registers open if there are lines. I live in Canton, Georgia, but we decided to get married at a fancy AirBnB on Lake Oconee in Eatonton, Georgia. We were going to cater (apps, food, cake, flowers) the entire wedding through Publix. The key word here was "were." I went to my local Canton Publix and got their specialty cake brochure and talked to the bakery about options. My Canton Publix was fantastic and excited, saying they could pretty much make whatever my heart desired. We told them that we love one of their already-discovered creation under their Decadent Dessert menu called the Strawberry Limonada cake. It came in an 8 inch and we were hoping they could do a 10 inch and and 8 inch and stack them. The Canton Publix said absolutely. When we called the Eatonton Publix, we were not treated with such grace and excitement. They acted like I was a nuisance to call and made me feel guilty to even ask for them to bake me a cake. I am pretty sure I was about to drop a lot of money at this Publix so you can imagine my disappointment. They first told me they could only do the Strawberry Limonada cake in an 8 inch and that we could only order from the specialty cakes brochure. OK, that is fine. I understand their limitations. I called back the next day with an order that fit within their brochure parameters...white cake with raspberry filling. They then told me they cannot do the following things: - Stack cakes. - Make any cake other than an 8 inch or sheet cake. - Make a cake with any filling...period. They also told me all this with a sense of yelling and angst. And they cannot even fulfill one specialty cake that their brochure says they can do. So we called corporate and told them about our experience and decided to remove our complete catering order. They did not deserve our business or money. Instead of rating this Publix as a one star, I opted for a two star because we still got just my bouquet and a veggie tray from them and they worked out great. If you read other reviews on this Publix, you will read similar stories about the personnel in the bakery. It sounds like it is time for a change in that department. I urge you to not use this Publix if planning a wedding. They will take your happy and excited mood and turn it sour.
