I love Kroger, and this one in particular. Prices are reasonable, and there are many options for every item. Plus, the gluten free options are plentiful - I found GF graham cracker pie crusts for Thanksgiving - whooo! Many registers were open this Thursday, and even though the store was pretty crowded, we were checked out by Jayda super quickly. She was friendly, efficient, and so darn fast. What a pleasure! The store is clean and relatively easy to navigate. Although I have to say that the company doing inventory was in the way quite a bit. Their legs were in the aisles so I could barely get a cart through, and not really seeming to care. The best part was getting gas at the Kroger gas station. Both bathrooms had standing water on the floors after being mopped. They had wet floors signs out, but a canoe would have been more useful. Product Review Only: Kroger is still having Logistics problems (le sigh), but the Home Chef Fried Chicken, and Kroger's Southern style Potato Salad: Home Chef Fried Chicken: Rather than frying their own, they contract it out to Home Chef. Unlike another review that indicated the 8 pieces weren't 2 each; leg, wing, thigh and breast, this order was. The chicken reheats nicely, with very little oil runoff. And, while crispy, the meat (even the breast, which are quite large) was tender, moist and, delicious. However, I think, there's something missing in the coating that I can't put my finger on (hmmm). But, at $8.99 (in store price), or $10.79 (InstaCart's price), when one gets 4 meals off of it (2 dinners, 2 lunches), it's a really good deal, either way. Plus, since it's part of my grocery delivery, the service fee, and tip, go a lot further. :-) Kroger Southern style Potato Salad: Almost as good as what mom use to make. I know none of you have had my mom's cooking. We've shopped here quite a lot over the years. All I can say is that things have gone downhill the last couple of years. Food availability is spotty. I have found that I need to go on days when the delivery trucks arrive or I might not get the items I need or want. The cashiers have been more rude lately- with one recently complaining about people having a lot of items in their carts. I don't even know how to respond to this. Lastly- food prices are high. Yes, they have gotten higher everywhere- but college town/ lake vacation prices are getting a little excessive. Looks like I'm going to be spending more time at Publix in the future. read more

Shelves are constantly under stocked . Every time I find a product I really like , it's pulled from the shelves permanently and marked : closed out. Half the milk products are empty for the last two months. At first , I thought they just weren't stocked for that day or due to the weather, but it's constantly That things are out of stock now. The store needs new management terribly! They really should've bothered to keep Mr. Gladden , the manager who had been there for years . When he was there, the store was always managed wonderfully and any concerns readily addressed. I have been shopping at Kroger since before it was Kroger, when it was BY-LO in the middle of N. The employee working the Deli today (Ashley) deserves a praise AND raise. I have been to so many sandwich shops and I've never had one so beautifully made. Kroger...shame on you for outsourcing customer service to a foreign country! My online order had numerous mistakes, wrong prices, missing items, change of time. Normally, Millidgeville does an outstanding job. Must be a new person. My complaint is with the customer service I was provided to straighten out mistakes. Online customer number I was given, was busy for two days straight. I googled another number. Representative was from out of country. Had limited ability solve the problems. Had to submit a report that will take up to ten days to investigate. Seriously?! I was offered a $20 store credit. $20 didn't cover half of what I charged by mistake!! Probably the last time I use online ordering. Walmart does a better job! Prefer Kroger to Walmart, but...hard for me to shop in person. read more

All I can say is the produce sucks! Most of the time it starts to turn bad within 3-4 days. I hope when Publix opens that their standers are higher in the produce section. This is the best Kroger store hands down! It was designed and built to be the first (and currently only ) "SUPER" Kroger. This place not only offers groceries typical of a Kroger store, but also has a health food section that would make Whole Foods green with envy. Other offerings of this Kroger include a Starbucks' kiosk, pharmacy, deli, sandwich shop, bakery, salad bar, and fresh rolled sushi. The produce her is some of the freshest you will find in middle Georgia, and the meat departments has some of the best looking steaks in town. But wait! That's not all! Need service at the service desk at Kroger? Don't bother. I have been complaining about being ignored by personnel standing behind the desk or there was nobody at the service desk. Same woman for 10 months and absolutely no change much less any improvement. Complaints hit a brick wall, told someone from Kroger or the store will call to discuss and it has never happened. I was told in my last complaint where 5 employees were having a great conversation while one woman was helping one customer with 2 more in line to ask for a manager. I did and both of them were busy. There is a woman with long gray hair and a heavy set woman who intentionally turn around and go the other direction when a customer approached. This woman apparently believes the customer should ask for help. read more

Can I give them a 0? Two times they have tried to fill the wrong prescription for my daughter. One time they sent it home with her. Luckily she checked the prescription and realized it was wrong before taking the meds. This incident was AFTER I had called them and told them they were trying to fill a prescription that she no longer took. I asked them to mark the other prescription as DO NOT FILL so we wouldn't get the wrong med and dosage in the future. That obviously did not happen. Jennifer, the pharmacist that I spoke with was rude, had zero customer service and didn't seem to care. She was more worried about finding a way to put the blame on us than solving the situation. We have moved our prescription to Walgreens and have had great service there. read more

My wife and I just returned from the Milledgeville store. We have been back in Milledgeville for 3 and a half years. We have watched the deterioration of this store. Noting now we have to check out our own groceries, using totally useless self check out machines. It took us 1/2 hour to check 2 bags of groceries. They had one employee helping us and there were 3 or 4 of us waiting for her because their useless machines stayed broken down and she had no help. This was the Worst experience we have had in a grocery store to date. Four of us walked out totally disgusted. We will never shop this kroger again. Back to Ingles in Eatonton for us. I really like this store. It is clean and has a great variety of foods to choose from. I trust their expiration dates and rarely find products outdated. The gas points and the coupons I receive frequently is of course a great way to keep me returning to this store. I am pleased with the customer service. The self check out makes me uncomfortable as it keeps telling me to scan the item and place it in the cart which is a constant error. Makes me feel guilty though I scanned the item as required. I would like to see less farm raised salmon. Most of the time a price sticker covers up the description and once picked up "farm raised". Farm raised though cheaper is not for me. I like the Simple Truth brand a lot. I like this store, the bakery and the opportunity to order and pick up my groceries. It helped me tremendously when I got out of the hospital. Stopped shopping at this Kroger due to more problems with fuel points and Whoo hoo pricing in the deli section. Enough is enough. They did finally replace the nasty produce shelves. The one lady that did the Whoo Hoo prices in the deli quit (can't blame her) and that really messed up their procedure. A manager type lady told me she'd call me when they get that pricing squared away. Never happened. Edit from previous, is that I've been shopping Kroger stores since '74 in Cincinnati and around '79 in Atlanta. I forgot which time, of two, I'd moved to Cinci. I love my Milledgeville Kroger. They have the largest selection of items of any store in town. The employees are helpful, friendly, and courteous. Pricing is like all the stores I have shopped, some things are higher and some things are lower. I find I pay about the same everywhere I shop. I'm glad they added order online. I really like this store. Very friendly and helpful staff. Every time I walk past an employee in an aisle, I am asked if I have found everything thing I need. I've never waited in line to check out. Great store. I have to drive about 35 miles to the Milledgeville Kroger but it is worth it. The employees are very helpful, selections are great, the store is clean, and being able to buy gas with my points is a plus for sure. I am a big fan, love, love, love our Kroger store! I just have one issue, you really need to keep Premier Protein high protein shakes in stock, (chocolate of course). Out of the last 5 times I have come in to buy them you only had them twice, therefore, I go to Wal-mart and find they are out. I drive to Sams in Macon to get them by the case. Miserable old lady pharmacist on a power trip. Tried to buy some Zyrtec D for my wife and they would not give it to me due to telling them only some of her symptoms. Pretty sure the drug is regulated so that it is not abused, not so that it cannot be used. I was with my three young children and did have time for this. Went to another local pharmacy and what to you know... I was able to buy a pack of the over the counter medicine. Will not use the Kroger pharmacy moving forward. What a joke. read more

Pharmacy lady was rude. She tried to tell me that my prescription number was not what I had in front of my eyes and thought that I was trying to fill a prescription from 2014 (currently 2016). She wasn't nice about the situation and snarked saying my prescription number was wrong. I told her that I had this prescription filled multiple time under this number and she denied that and still said the number was wrong. I won't go back to the pharmacy unless I had to.
