We had a second…read moreappointment for a pickup, and he arrives demanding the check from the first pickup a couple weeks prior. I informed him that we mailed the check to his office the week prior. He said, while wearing glasses indoors, avoiding eye contact, and speaking sternly, and "I ain't picking up anything until I get payment from the first time." I said, "Are you sure you haven't received it, or can you check to see? We always mail them directly to vendors." He said "I wouldn't be asking if I did." If that was the case, he could have mentioned that he hasn't received payment and can't schedule a pickup until he does. Easy fix. Instead, he wasted both our time. Do yourself a favor - look up another company to call. P.S. I found out that he was in communication with our office a couple days prior to this interaction - where he admitted to moving their office address! So the address they provided (for mailing the check), was wrong! If he knew of this predicament - I'm even more confused why he came in so upset/rude.

This review is overdue, but my appreciation for Pete Poulos Moving Systems certainly isn't! I moved…read morein August, and during the moving process, I fell and fractured my pelvis. Between my hospital stay and recovery, writing a review slipped my mind. Nik from Poulos Moving Systems was our point of contact, and he was wonderful from the start. He provided a prompt, thorough estimate and clearly explained all the costs involved. When I ended up in the hospital, he worked closely with my two sisters, who coordinated things at each end of the move. Both sisters said the movers were professional, friendly, and efficient. One reason we chose Poulos Moving Systems was their experience moving military families to Northern California. Since I didn't need storage, they were also able to transport my very large plants, which meant a lot to me. This was an extremely stressful move, made even more difficult by my injury. I feel fortunate to have found a moving company that was so accommodating and worked so closely with me and my sisters. Thank you to Nik and the team--Julio, Mundo, and Javier! I would gladly recommend Poulos Moving Systems.

I've moved 3 times so far as a military member and this was by far the best moving experience!

We had a good experience with Central Coast Movers! They helped us move from Monterey all the way…read morenorth to Humboldt for ~$4,750. They came over to look at our apartment and give us an exact estimate a few months ahead of time. The estimate was a one-line email with just one number and no breakdown of cost or details of any kind, which made me uneasy, but that number really did cover everything, including tax. Many people helped move us (7+ in total, I think) and the people that loaded were different from those who unloaded, so we should have tipped every person individually in cash instead of waiting until the end. Also to note: keep your checkbook or wads of cash handy, because there is a 3% fee to use credit card. That really adds up on a big move! I was not able to get all of my questions completely answered via email (some details were missing), but I was able to phone and get clarification on things easily. x25 large moving boxes were provided for free - I had to ask for them a few times, but we got them fine in the end, delivered right to our doorstep. Central Coast Movers also provides wardrobe boxes for all your hanging clothes, and they load all the clothing from your closets for you, which is so convenient. Our loading day was delayed 1 day due to extremely bad weather, but everything turned out well in the end. They kept me updated on arrival times and stayed in communication during the move. They protected our carpets with long cloths on the ground and nothing of ours was lost or damaged. I can recommend them!
