They quote me a great price over the competitors. They arrived on time and we pretty much were out in 30 mins (I have a studio and got most everything but a bed and desk prepped). Easy to work with and polite. On arrival there were a couple snags (on my part). I provided an alternate solution and they were happy to oblige. Would recommend. read more

I chose Johnny and Power Moves Services for a long-distance move because of the great reviews and I'm so glad I did. It couldn't have been a better experience. Johnny is personable, professional and an amazingly hard worker. He and his assistant, Enrique, went above and beyond in every way, including moving an extra item within our home for us. There were LOTS of stairs involved in our move but the guys never slowed down or complained. Price was fair. Would definitely use PMS again! read more

Professional moving service in all aspects. The staff was prompt, friendly and focused on their tasks. From the quote to unloading, everything was well orchestrated. They wrapped all furniture and were careful while maneuvering our precious cargo onto the truck. They brought two trucks for our move. Thanks Power Moves...I highly recommend this company. From start to finish our experience with Power Moves was awesome! Julianna scheduled the move and Johnny was in contact with us immediately. The day of the move Johnny and Oscar arrived right on time and got right to work. They were extremely careful and asked all the right questions. All of the positive reviews here are 100% true. This is the company you want to hire; they are friendly, thorough, honest and careful. Ours was a local move - we relocated from our 4 bedroom 2600 sf house and Power Moves helped us get it all done over 3 different dates. They showed up on time and worked hard. I had everything prepped and had pre-wrapped some items in plastic wrap but after watching them work, I realized I didn't need to do that. If something is fragile but doesn't fit in a box, they wrap it in a moving blanket & put tape around it. And they wrap furniture with plastic wrap so your stuff doesn't get scuffed. They are careful, and I appreciated it. They even helped install one of our TVs at the new place. The first day they moved 3 bedrooms and the garage, and that filled their 26' truck. The next day they transported the 4th bedroom, all of the furniture and most of the backyard patio furniture and filled the truck again. A few items were leftover, and they offered to come back the following day to help us finish the move. It was a big job! Moving is so much work and having a trustworthy company helping you makes a difference. We recommend them without reservation. read more

Power Moves Services - Relocating after 22 years in this wonderful house. - Movers Near Me - Salinas, California

I used Yelp! To help me locate a reputable moving company. The first contact and quote I received was from Julie at Power Moves in Salinas. I moved forward with them electronically. They answered all my questions. I signed a pdf for my appointment, and off we went on the moving adventure. I lived in a shared apartment for almost eight years. And yes, I'm a hoarder of electronics. But the amount of stuff! It took them three hours to round up eight years of junk.I should have felt ashamed but the guys from Power Moves just pushed through. The reconstruction in my new-construction apartment was just as professional. My TVs were hooked up, the majority of stuff was put away for me, and the rest was nicely stacked in my new living room. The night before I fell on slanted concrete right on my lower back. I was in pain that day, and I just mentioned unloaded the chairs so I could sit. Then Johnny, like the moving angel he is, rolled in my computer chair! It was too good to be true. After they left, I noticed my living room TV wasn't working so I called Johnny. He got back to me right away. It turned out the Roku remote module fell off in the TV box. I wasn't looking forward to buying another 65" tv so I was thrilled when Johnny said they could come by and fix it. They actually showed up the next afternoon and reattached the missing module--and it worked! Overall, I was impressed and very pleased. It came out to be a little expensive, but it was A LOT of work. Being disabled I could never have moved without Power Moves. Thanks again for being so cool. Everyday I'm finding thoughtful placement of items from the unpacking. And my shoes were completely organized--a feat I never attempted! Thanks aga n for making such a stressful event so much easier. read more

Both guys really hustled hard the entire time they were working. I would use them again and have already recommend them to family.

These guys are the best! I received several local company estimates for a recent move. I used Power Moves years ago and was very happy. Their estimate was the very best and I can't explain how wonderful they were. They are very good at what they do, careful, kind and they go beyond to help in any way. I am so grateful for them. They do all types of residential and business work. If you need this service - book them early while you can. read more

Absolutely fantastic team, efficient, timely, and alleviated so much stress and frustration from a big move! Thank you moving angels!!

Hello, I moved from Salinas to Los Banos on February 17, 2019. Power Moving Services helped me then, and it was nearly flawless. My girlfriend moved from Monterey to Los Banos on Monday, January 9, 2023. Again, I used PMS. Professional, on time, motivated and all at a very fair price. The weather was rainy, the roads wet, but the move was executed with precision and in a timely fashion. If you ever need to move, use PMS and see why they receive 5 star customer service from their clients. I have a professional business relationship, and they treat me like family. Thank you PMS! read more

My name is Darlene and I had the luxury of your service November 28, 2023. I worked with Johnny and his assistant. They were FABULOUS!!! I had prepared and most everything was packed in boxes. Johnny helped me to understand the cost prior to the moving day. I asked for suggestions regarding how to prepare. Johnny always returned my calls and answered my questions quickly. We worked together on moving day and i found these two gentlemen to be honest, trustworthy and respectful. As we moved items throughout the day, we interacted and they showed me much consideration regarding what I wanted and needed. Where i wanted the items placed and they protected all my furniture and items with plastic wrap. I moved from an upstairs condo to a first-floor condo in the same building. There were 17 steps to the condo we had to remove the items from. and you would never had known that, watching these two wonderful individuals move all my furniture and items. They moved everything,,, with what appeared to be,,, with ease. Johnny and his assistant were extremely careful, professional yet personal during the moving day. I would suggest anyone who needs this type of service to ABSOLUTELY, contact this business and their employees. Thank you very much for a job well done. Darlene read more

I have used Power Moves for three different moves over the last year and half in the Monterey/Pacific Grove area. They have been great every time. The crew shows up on time. They have the necessary equipment, and they have a great, friendly, and helpful attitude. They work hard to get the job done as quickly as possible and safely too. I used them to unload a Uhaul and carry the furniture into the apartment. I also used them to take boxes and furniture from an apartment to a storage unit and then unload the storage unit and move us from one house to another house. The last move took an extra half day to complete. They were willing to come back the next day to finish up even though we had not booked them in advance for 2 days. They crew was outstanding! I would use Power Moves Services again without any question! They are the best movers I have ever used. They are the best value in town! read more

The movers did a fine job, were on time, etc. However.... I took my time to price compare movers and planned well in advance. This company was deceptive in their pricing. See photo where they gave me a quote to move a short 1/2 mile down the street. The rate was $150 an hour, 3 hr min. At the end of the move they added on a $150 Double time for driving time, despite the face that they drove 2 min down the road. I pointed out that they did not include this fee in their quote and I asked for a refund. The owner was rude and did not suggest that this was a mistake on her part. I take this to mean that they intentionally hide fees from prospective customers and gouge them in the end. I took my complaint to the BBB and did not receive a satisfactory resolution. read more

Power Moves Services - Movers Near Me - Salinas, California

Untrustworthy, unreliable and greedy. They agreed to a price, did home visit, sent me an invoice and we scheduled the move. Five days before the move, I emailed them to confirm and they added 500 bucks in new costs for "packing services". My quote included 13 hours of labor plus 4 hours of double drive time and packing material - they could not add more hours in a day so they came up with this BS line item. I was happy to pay for materials and hours, but that was apparently not enough. They could not explain the fee, so they said new fee was because I was moving "out of county", for putting TVs in boxes. I even agreed to the added fee and asked them to confirm this 500 will be the last add on and give me a final quote with a fixed price. Then they tried to add on 400 more because I wanted a fixed price. I cancelled and got the move done by another company with none of this BS. Find a more trustworthy company if you want a hassle free moving experience. read more

Power Moves has really competitive pricing from my experience with looking for movers. The guys that showed up knew what they were doing, were prepared and made quick work of moving all of our items from our old apartment to a new house. They will dis-assemble and re-assemble your furniture, including large, drawer-ed beds! I would definitely use Power Moves again in the future. As an added note, there definitely were some paint problems after the move was complete due to the guys trying to get some items in the house, which is to be expected. I sent them an email thinking that nothing would be done but within a week, they had sent a local painter out to resolve all the issues. I was thoroughly impressed! Thanks again Power Moves! read more

Power Moves Services - Note the tripping hazard - Movers Near Me - Salinas, California

Out of the solicitation for quotes via Yelp, most of the companies replied to me to give them a call. Power Moves was great because Julie was more efficient and let me know a quote was coming on an agreement if I wanted to book. She based it on the information I provided on the Yelp query (move my stuff into a truck) so it saved some time and back and forth. The guys showed up as promised, on time and finished well within the 3 hour minimum. They plastic wrapped most things and it was helpful for me to have a ton of moving blankets ready. My one regret is that my couch didn't get wrapped with a moving blanket and it was super heavy with the cushions so the arm ended up getting scraped and the fabric is damaged. I will definitely keep the cushions packed separately next time as they are heavy and make the couch very bulky. Really nice, courteous and professional people. Super fast and strong! Whew, I'm glad I didn't try to move the heavy stuff myself! read more

These guys were fast, efficient, and respectful of our property. The guys arrived on time, were friendly, kept their masks on, and got to business. We arrived at our new place with zero damage to our appliances, dishes, and furniture. We have a lot of antiques and there was no damage. Impressive! The price was reasonable. I called for three quotes in the Salinas and Power Moves was highly competitive with their pricing and customer service in setting up dates. I recommend calling if you're looking to move. read more

Two weeks ago, I moved from Salinas California (NorCal) to Corona California (SoCal), approximately 350 miles distance. A month before our move, I requested for price quotes for different movers servicing Salinas California. Power Moves Services has the best price amongst the different movers that I have asked. Julianna (Owner/Operator) replied promptly to my inquiry whether by texts, emails, or calls. She explained clearly the price for moving and the additional prices for additional services like mounting of TV at the destination, etc. She made sure that everything (from their part)will be smooth on the day of moving. Johnny and Oscar were the movers. They are very reliable, hardworking, fast and careful. They came 30 minutes early and wasted no time loading our stuff into their huge truck. They are very careful with my stuff. They wrapped my furnitures, covered with blankets, and boxed my TV. They finished loading everything in less than an hour and a half. Early next day, they delivered and carefully unloaded my stuff to my new place. Everything is in good condition, nothing was broken. They completed unloading (boxes and furnitures) and assembling furnitures (including mounting of TV) in less than an hour and a half. Because of my good experience with them, I will highly recommend Power Moves Services for long and short moving services. read more

Such a great moving coming. They are responsive from the start, answering all questions quickly. They are VERY fairly priced. They worked so efficiently, even in the rain. They made sure all of our belongings were protected and were super careful. I couldn't believe how much work they got done in a short amount of time. It would have taken us days to do everything they did in a few hours. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend! read more

Great moving company, I'm very happy. Their price quote was uncomplicated- $315 for 3 hours (the minimum) and 2 movers from Salinas to a storage unit in Gilroy (approx 25 miles). All of our belongings were in the garage. I paid exactly what I was quoted plus the 2% credit card fee, which I knew about ahead of time. No added surcharges of any kind. Payment was made after the move was completed so the movers could be tipped accordingly. Scheduling was easy and response time was quick. Both office managers were very polite and helpful. The movers were on time, polite, and handled delicate, antique furniture carefully and professionally. I highly recommend this moving company. read more

Efficient and kind movers. They took good care of our items and everything got to the new house undamaged. Would definitely hire again!

The guys showed up on time and worked hard the whole time they were here. They took great care with my things. They charged me fairly and were pleasant the whole time. I don't think you can ask for anything more in a moving service. I highly recommend! They provided furniture disassembly and kept all my pieces and parts organized. They lugged my 350lb air hockey table down a flight of stairs no sweat. They also re-taped all my boxes because I had not done a great job. If I have one complaint it's that they didn't bring enough shrink wrap but otherwise everything was awesome and well worth the five star review. read more

I requested a unloading service and they never showed up. The job was 2 hrs with everything boxed and sealed. He told me it was 3 hr minimum, $100 an hour. It's the most expensive I've come across but he said they were available. I was not happy with the price and agreed in no moment did I say no. I was not angry, yell just stressed. I said "ok, it's cool. I just want to get this over with". They never showed up. They also refused to work with me. They also hung up on me. I said hours before confirming let me ask around first and I called them again in the afternoon. I was not overjoyed and my words were "That's cool, whatever I just want to get this move over with." I found movers that were cheaper and with short notice. The "2 hours" were a request not a demand. I cursed at the end when they told me to look elsewhere and didn't show up. Of course I was angry. My discontent on the phone previously was "damn that's hella expensive", I was shocked. I was not pissed off when I stated that. I also shared my details and location previously over the phone asking rates, otherwise how else would I have agreed at 8 a.m. Please confirm with future customers than assuming, and have someone else handle phone calls read more

Johnny and his team helped me with a long distance move to Ventura. They took great care in preparing and wrapping my furniture and loading all my belongings. They also were very amazing during the unloading process asking where to put furniture and the boxes. They reassembled my bed and headboard, and masterfully got the refrigerator in its place. You won't be disappointed with this team as they get the job done timely and efficiently! Truly service with a smile .Thanks Johnny, Jaime, Mike and Ramon! read more

The pros: They came on time and worked very hard. All of my furniture was very well protected with moving blankets and/or plastic wrap. I have a one bedroom apartment with patio furniture and they loaded everything in 1:15. Unloading was a similar time. They even protected my entryway and front door w/a drop cloth & moving blanket. They also removed the packing materials. All of my belongings arrived without damage. The two guys that came were absolutely great! I wish I remembered their names to give them credit... The cons: It was unclear at the time of booking that the drive time started in Salinas and not at my place. That was an additional $50. Because I was moving ~30mi total, the cost of labor was equal to the cost of transport. It was also a little awkward that the movers took a 30min break for lunch. Totally understandable, but was a surprise. Overall, I would recommend them and potentially use them again if I was moving a short distance. read more
