This restaurant is located in what is possibly the most interesting neighborhood in Tijuana. I headed south of the border to hang out and get away from the stress in LA. After checking out Zona Rio and Ave. Revolucion, I took a walk along Calle Coahuila. For those who do not know, this street runs along the red light district of Tijuana. Yes, this stuff is 100% legal here, and I think more US dollars run through this place than the outlets just opposite the border on the US side. Aside from the many bars along this street, there are a number of eateries as well. I stopped into this one, as it looked fairly cozy and was the least busiest at the time. I sat down on one of their booths, and checked out their menu. I ordered a grilled chicken plate ("pollo a la plancha"), which came with rice, fried beans, a salad, tortillas, and chips with two types of delicious salsa. To drink, I had bottled water and coffee. What I love about the coffee here is that they give you a cup of hot water, and it's up to you on how strong you want your coffee. As a big-time caffeine addict, I made my coffee very strong. The meal was delicious, and it hit the spot well. The staff was friendly, and did a good job taking care of me. I would repeat if I ever found myself in this area again. If you come here, bring an open mind. There are girls from the adjacent bars that come to eat here during a break. You'll see plenty of them, although this isn't the place to approach them. I'd bring friends, but not kids here.

What a surprise! I happened to be in the area and I knew I had to try this restaurant out…read more I saw this restaurant on instagram. And it's a little bit of a drive from where I live. But today I happen to be in the area and I told my husband to try this place out. He was so happy! Once you place your order out waitress came with a big plate of sweet bread and you get to pick one! I picked the concha and my husband got the pineapple empanada! We ordered a bit of everything. My husbands go to meal always is chilaquiles. So he ordered the DIVORCIADOS $16.50 Half green and half red with carne asada and beans. We also got the CARNE EN SU JUGO $15.99 And I got the MENUDO ROJO $15.50 Let me start off by saying everything was amazing! It all tasted like it was homemade! Perfectly seasoned, with hand made tortillas. The carne en su jugo was really good! I understand why they are known for that dish. I loved my Menudo! I was craving it and it was perfect. The chilaquiles, the chips weren't soggy, they still had a bite to them. The sauces had so much flavor! My husband and I left with full bellies and a big smile on our faces! All the waitresses and waiters were so nice! Diego was telling us the story of the restaurant. Which was nice to hear. All family owned. Hopefully they open another restaurant close to us!!! Fingers crossed! I will definitely come back to Thai restaurant and recommend it to all my family and friends!

Somebody in that kitchen Cares about what they're making for Me & You, and I can taste it ,in every bite of food. The lettuce , tomatoe, and all veggies are always fresh and super clean as is the restaurant. We met Diego today, he is the owners son, very respectful, courteous and attentive as were the waitresses. I highly recommend you come and try. Muchas Gracias El Rincon

Didn't realize they close at 2pm and literally ran out of the convention center and sped straight here. Hooooooly this was hands down the best birria I've ever eaten, the handmade tortillas are perfection (can also get crispy tortilla), the ramen is spicy and amazingly seasoned, the birriaquiles interesting, and the staff SO friendly! Like the friendliest I've met in a long time too. The girl taking my order took the time to ask about options for everything since I didn't know and wasn't ordering it correctly. I'm really glad she asked about the tendon cause that was bomb--if you love braised beef shank, the tendon is a must. We got here kind of late, almost closing time, and they were beyond helpful with a big-ish dine in order and two to-go orders. I genuinely loved everything and was wolfing it down lol (my pants are now tight). I will absolutely be back, hopefully sooner than later.

What we ordered: * The Chiky Breakfast * Taco De Lengua * Quesataco De Lengua * Consomé De Birria * Agua De Jamaica The food over all is very good. The birria is always on point.... The lengua was tender however the flavor was just like the birria. They must use the same seasoning for both. I was hoping it would have been prepared differently. All in all we enjoyed our breakfast. Very friendly and attentive service and amazing ambiance. #DiningWithTheAndersons #ComidaMexicana #Birria #SanDiego #SuggestionsWelcomed
