I was thoroughly impressed by the covid safety precautions of this place and their wonderful service. I went to Mo2 for a haircut after the phase to re-open hair salons happened. My hair was a mess with split ends etc since it had been awhile so I sucked it up and made an appointment. I was afraid to go in but I was really relieved with the amount care they took to make sure everyone was safe. They were specific about their check ins so there weren't too many people there all at once. Everyone was masked, there was 6 ft distancing between customers and air filter machines. I felt really safe there even though I was very apprehensive at first. Moving onto the haircut- I don't think I will go to anybody else other than Mohsen after he did wonders with my hair. I am picky about my hair and had quite a few specifications and Mohsen listened and asked if everything was looking the way I wanted every step of the way. I wasn't afraid to share my thoughts and he was really attentive about what I asked for. He even taught me a few tricks on how to make my hair look perfect when I'm on my own! ! I was so happy and received many compliments from friends and family afterwards. Also the trick he taught me (I asked for wispy bangs) was a life savior as getting bangs to look good after a shower can be extremely frustrating!) I had even provided photos of my daughter's hair in advance, so there was no surprise or misunderstanding. Further, the "master" stylist was very rude and accusatory when he approached me about retroactively charging us. Mind you he was the one I showed the pictures to, as well as the one who submitted the payment slips to the young women at the front desk. Changing prices after the fact is unfair and unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about discriminatory pricing practices. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden or after-the-fact charges. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect.

I tried to book an appointment last month, which ended up being confirmed through a booking site. It made me pay the full amount plus tip upfront before the service even started (maybe because I booked within 24 hours?). I show up to the salon suite which is located inside of a building with multiple service suites. I end up waiting for about 30 minutes before one of the other suite renters asked who I was waiting for. I told them and they said they haven't heard from her (also, it's unclear if the owner of Touch of Elegance is Bridgette Carpenter per the other reviews, or someone named "Denise Carpenter", per the booking site). They gave me her contact number, and I attempted to call it, just to hear one of those phone notifications that go "we're sorry, but the number you are dialing is not in service". Two other shop owners tried to text her for me, unable to get ahold of her. My husband (who graciously waited with me) even found her Facebook account and messaged her, received no read receipt or reply. At this point, I've already been searching for other salons that does relaxers. I finally find one and leave. I ended up having to do a charge-back on my credit card (always book with a credit card for issues like this, folks! I got my $$ back within 5 hours). Still never heard back from her. I hope Bridgette/Denise is okay. I post this to say: maybe get voice confirmation from this owner before paying anything and wasting your time on a service that won't get done. She told me that she didn't think it was a good idea to bleach the hair in the condition my hair was in because of the many years of black hair dye. What she recommended was for me stop the black hair dye and cover only the gray at the roots only a medium to dark brown and get regular trims of the ends until black was gone which I did. The purpose of the recommendation was that by dying the roots and getting trims was so that can later be able to bleach the hair to a lighter shade. The whole process took me almost a year to get my desired shade. I now have a copper reddish hair and love it. I've gotten many compliments on it and I can get away from dying my grays a little longer than when I had black hair.
