I went to the place the day before to make reservations for my father's 75th birthday. We told them we wanted the whole deal with birthday songs and all.Just something he would really enjoy. Even on the day of our reservation, I gave them the cake and reminded them about everything. But unfortunately nothing was done, When I asked our waiter Rob, he told us no one mentioned anything. Which we found quite surprising. He did offer us he could bring the cake again and do it. But the surprise was ruined anyways. Basically the whole birthday felt flat because of them. Well what can I say about this place I had the worst worst worst customer service ever I ordered from skip the dish something happened technical wise and I was charged $30 from my Visa I called the restaurant they told me it was in there problem with skip the dishes problem I finally got ahold of the manager skip the dishes put $30 in credits on my account then took it back, they told me that they put the money back on my account skip the dishes did that I should reorder the food again and that I wouldn't be charged the manager said this at the restaurant as well I was charged yet again on my credit card I called the manager back got nowheres I called skip the dishes back told them my problem they hung up on me after trying to explain to some lady that couldnt understand English.. So yet again I am out food and money I've been dealing with this for 90 minutes so I give up and hope the owner of the restaurants reads the crap that I have to go just to eat .... remember skip the dishes represents your restaurants you either refund me my money or I'll put reviews like this so people can see what type of scam your running ..... never again will I order from such a backwards operation read more

Honestly, what can I say about this place? We went there for my son's 13th birthday and thanks to a very rude and uninterested server his birthday dinner was completely ruined and we will never be back. From not wanting to answer questions about dishes while we were ordering to out right taking away our plates and drinks while we were still drinking and eating. This was the worst service I have ever experienced in my life, and I've had some pretty bad service on occasion. One of person ordered a meal that included a salad, but when his entree arrived before the salad he had to argue with the server to get the salad. It even went as far as her getting the menu and then proving herself wrong. When the salad arrived it was shot across the table as she walked by and it ended up landing in front of my son instead and we weren't 100% sure who's salad it actually was. It was the first drive-by salad-ing I've ever witnessed :) My wife was never offered a refill and for the other two of us that did get refills our cups were snatched when they were down to about half way along with plates with food that we were still eating and were never seen again. Finally when I had enough I stepped away to bring this to the attention of a manager. As I was explaining the situation to the manager the same server happened to be attending to another table in ear shot of our conversation and as the conversation continued the server rounded up her co-workers and did the whole "Happy Birthday" song and dance causing me to miss it and ruining the birthday celebration even further. The manager was very sympathetic and discounted a decent portion of the meal, however we would have rather had a nice dinner without any issues. We haven't been back since and not really sure if we will. read more

I went here for dinner with a friend today and I was not disappointed! I've been to the one near Blair and it was amazing!!! They have the best burgers I have ever tasted. I got a Bison Burger. I believe I got the same thing at the Blair location. It came with a Caesar Salad (you can have mashed or roasted potatoes, fries, or salad). Burger is to die for. If I could have one last meal before I die, this burger would be number two! (only thing that beats this is a streak from The Keg). The staff was friendly as usual. I was greeted with a smile and our server was attentive. There is even a patio to sit outside. The whole atmosphere is wonderful. I felt a positive vibe. I would highly recommend this place!!!! My favorite Montana's location; they never disappoint! Ordered the veggie burger with apple butter bbq sauce and a side of fries. The veggie burger was scrumptious and charbroiled to perfection, topped with sauteed peppers, feta cheese, a slice of tomato and leafy lettuce. I devoured this veggie burger within minutes. The fries were overly salty. I now know to hold the salt next time. Service was quick. Showed up at 5:30, so we got a table right away. As we were leaving just before 7, there was a line up at the door. Best advice, show up at 5 and beat the rush!! read more

Was driving around looking for a place to eat and this place caught my eye and I am glad it did. The atmosphere was great, fast and friendly service and the food was amazing. I had a drink in a mason jar and I cannot remember what it was called because the waiter suggested it but I am glad he did because it was crazy good. If it was not so expensive I would of had many more. I had ordered an appetizer and the waiter forgot and when I got my meal and advised him we never got he rushed the order and didn't charge it on my bill. Had the chicken parm and it was delicious and the friends I was with had 2 different kind of burgers and they also loved their food. The only reason why I gave 4 stars is the plates are a bit small and prices are high but I will definitely be going back next time they have a promo. read more

First of all I want to emphasize that this rating is based entirely on my most recent visit and could change with future visits. I say this because I typically really enjoy Montana's and overall still enjoyed my food this time. Usually I order Montana's to go because I live across the street from it so I might as well. I almost always have problems with this though, this time it was that they drastically overestimated how long our food was going to take to make. Even though we arrived exactly when the app said it would be ready when we got the food back home my fries made it obvious it had been sitting on the counter for a while before we got there because they were soggy and cold and I had to throw them in the oven to fix this. Other problems involved it taking forever to order because the website showed that the Brisket Burger was available, however after not being able to order it and finally calling in found out that my favourite, go-to item on their menu is temporarily unavailable. My wife found the same issue with the item she wanted to order, though I believe hers was at least a limited time menu item. I also did not get my gravy! As stated before this rating would go up at least a star when Montana's brings back my beloved burger and up to 5 stars if they could tweak their app ordering system to not only better reflect menu changes but also to perhaps notify customers of order progress and specifically when pick-up orders are ready so as to avoid having to re-heat items when your order is ready ahead of schedule. As for the missing gravy, that happens anywhere and there have also been times here where I have ended up with more gravy than I ordered so I did not dock stars specifically based on that. read more

Went there with husband and kid. I ordered fish tacos without spicy sauce while they had something else (don't remember). It took a while to arrive. First time I got my order, bare with me, I found sand in it (apparently from the cilantro that wasn't washed properly). Second round they had forgotten about not adding the spicy sauce in it. By then kid and hubby were done with their meal. I was dying of hunger, it was late, still got a third round because there was nothing to eat at home. Had to eat it at home, cold, and I could swear there was no cilantro at all in what I got so this was pretty tasteless. I won't go back. read more

I love Montana's food. And this location is no different. They do steak very well and the ambience is exactly what you'd expect from a steakhouse. Alcohol is a bit expensive to justify all night hangouts, which is upsetting for this location as it's one of few choices in this part of town for drinks with friends. Unless you're eating there, I find getting their food a major challenge. They don't offer delivery, it's only offered through Uber Eats. However, UE doesn't have the full menu including no chance of ordering steak in any way! (Who doesn't get steak from a steakhouse?) When it's -20 out, I'm not leaving my house let alone to pick up food. Even ordering for pick-up, which we eventually did, was difficult as the app and website operate differently and different Montana's locations offer different food availability while no locations seem to be up-to-date on menu offerings. On both the app and website I was able to choose a burger the franchise no longer offers, but eventually had to call to place the order where the employee said the burger was no longer offered. Further to that, we received a flyer for current offers and only 1 was offered at our location and no locations offered the flyer special I was interested in. By the time we carried home the food, it was cold and had to be reheated. This location keeps takeout orders on a shelf behind the bar, not in any kind of warming device, so that doesn't help either. Overall, it took an hour just to order to get a substandard quality of the food that the eat-in experience usually does quite well. Unfortunately this isn't the first time I've had this run around experience, so I dont think I'll be ordering takeout from this franchise again. Eat-in experience at this location would be a 5 star, but poor experience for delivery/takeout and online ordering leave this with a 2 star. read more

The service at this location is always top notch, they don't hover, but they don't ignore you at the same time. The food always tastes good, comes to you warm, and this location actually has some local beer in the form of Beau's Lugtread, which tastes pretty damn good. Came here a few days ago with my fiance for a lunch date! We love Montanas because of the paper they put on your table to doodle on. We always play x's and o's and hangman while we are waiting. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive and quick! Filled up our drinks every time we were getting low and I love that, I hate waiting for my glass to be filled if it's been empty for a while. I had their new antojitos burger, and he had the brisket burger. They were both great. Mine was very spicy, but there was this cream cheese spread on mine that was amazing and helped to calm the bite. We both had fries, and I must say that they have really great fries here! I also got their new "Fry dip" which is essentially just an aoli, very good and only 45 cents! two drinks and two burgers came to $40 plus tip, not bad. Very good food and service. This is absolutely the worst location you can have dinner with your family now with the current management. We have been to this location before and had a great time. So tonight on my son's 11 birthday we went to this location because he loves eating there. But this time we met a new manager who was visibly pissed to see 5 guests at 9:30 on a week day. He kept complaining about having only one server on duty. He basically started arguing with us and looked aggressive. Not sure if it was because of the colour of our skin or having to deal with one server, no matter what the reason was, he had no right to behave like that. Now this location has become the worst place for food. We finally had to leave the place without having our dinner. This manager kept arguing on our way out, saying, good for us. Less headache. I came here with a friend for lunch and it was very enjoyable. They have good options for lunch time that are reasonably priced, I had the lunch size apple pecan salad with a baked potato and it was very good. Our server was very friendly and helpful with any questions about the menu, I believe her name was Zsafika. The only issue was that it took a very long time even though it was nearly empty. Was here last night.. Food was good, as always! So were the drinks! I cherish my 34oz man mug of Keith's. However, the service was fairly poor. Our server was rushing us along, taking away dishes before we were finished eating, grabbing the bill for us and then returning with the debit terminal before we had even started our dessert.. I personally like to finish eating before I pay. We didn't ask for the bill or the machine, so it was a little surprising. I could forgive this but then me and my friends were offered free desserts, which I wasn't interested in-- shouldn't they have asked ME what I wanted??! My steak salad had rancid avocados in it. With the pandemic restrictions we are making it a habit to frequent local restaurants each week. A need for good ribs was satisfied by Montana's. We did our own pick up so the restaurant isn't paying a delivery service 30%. The restaurant which is preparing and giving away meals to healthcare workers out did themselves. The food was hot and freshly prepared exactly at 5:30 when I had arranged to pick it up. Great food and a very competitive price. The few staff we encountered where upbeat, friendly and accommodating. This will remain on my takeout list for as long as it has to until we can frequent it again. read more

Looove this place! I work down the street and often come here after work with friends. Always a great time. Their "man mugs" are great and fairly priced! Great food too! Their spinach dip is to die for and, obviously, the ribs are great. Servers are always nice and quick to respond. Overall, I would recommend this place. Last night was the 5th time my friend and I have met there when he's in that area. Not much else to pick from, unless you like Pizza Hut, Pizza Pizza or a couple of city Pho shops. That said, the food was just consumable and thus quite garbage. The waitress was lost most of the time, and not once did she ask about the quality of my food, or if I needed anything - that is, until I gave up on my serving. She had four Monday regulars she was maintaining (as she later informed me), thus maybe eight people in total. So, I guess if I'm not a regular customer dominating the restaurant, then I can expect microwaved tasting ribs and rubberised shrimp, topped with faded service . When I discussed my dissatisfaction with her at the end of the night, she wasn't truly concerned, and there was no real manager on duty to convey the same message to. Disappointed to say the least. This spot should be labelled "Montana's Outhouse" based on the quality of the food and care we received after it was served. Needless to say, I withheld any service tip on my bill. read more

The service was terrible. My husband and I were all excited to return to Montana's as we have not been to one in Ontario. Started with drinks and ordered glasses of water. The water never came and I had to ask the busboy (instead of our waitress) who brought us the appetizer for a glass. Waited half an hour for entree. The food was okay, compared to the service we received. When we asked for a box to go and bill, our waitress brought the container and bill but never returned afterward. This was odd as only one third of the tables were full. We waited another 15 mins and had to go to the bar to pay, with another waitress's help. Our waitress returned to the bar during the transaction without even making eye contact. It made us feel it was not poor service but refusal of service. Recommend a different location if you intend to check out Montana's. read more

It looks like Montana's are cutting cost on their foods. Chicken fingers are made of chicken paste, burger patties seems smaller than it used to be. Chicken fingers were looking pretty dark on the outside. Not quite burnt but definitely on the way there. Steak was burnt, tasted bitter and overcooked. Server looked grumpy, never came back to see how we were doing. The ketchup bottle brought to my table was dirty. I saw a few servers (including mine) handling food with long hair not being tied. read more
