I'd say this place has class, because of what happened tonight. We were a party of 6, of which 2 had been here before, about a year ago, and had had a bad experience then. I don't know why they gave it a second chance, but I'm glad they did! Long story short, and under a previous manager, the kitchen did not follow through on their promise to accommodate dietary needs. Today, the 'new' management rectified this by apologizing, and gave them a $25.00 gift card for future use!! Bravo!! As for this visit, it's a cute but typical bar with bunk seating along one wall, and bar tables with high seats filling the rest of the floor. A few large TVs strategically placed around the room. The entrance comes in through the patio, which has been enclosed and had heat emanating from the ceiling, making it comfortable for dining on this cold night. Although we say inside, I liked the ambiance and feel of the space. One downer for me was that the booths are really too tight for 6 people, but it was cozy. It was loud inside, and occasionally hard to hear the conversation at our table. As for the menu and food: they offer typical bar food - sandwiches and fries, onion rings, and finger foods. I came fully expecting to order the fish tacos, but will have to wait till next visit for that dish! Still trying to eat healthily, and ended up with a cowboy salad with a grilled chicken breast. It was good. Service was stellar! Attentive. Because of this I give them 5 stars today. The rest of the visit was still 4 stars. I would go back - next time for fish tacos!! read more

Great vibe, decent menu, good service. Busy spot! Lively! It was my first time here. I had a nice glass of rose and my friend had her fave, the bellini. We each were drawn to the Dragon Bowl, so we got that. I spiced mine up a lot (my cayenne) and enjoyed it. Healthy enough but man, so much more $$$ than it needed to be. No wonder I fast for 2-3 days at a time! Ha! Food whether dining out or groceries is pricey! It's a great people watching spot. There is a nice bar. Lots of lot parking. Where do I start! Came in and we were greeted by a very welcoming hostess which escorted us to our table with the menus. The friendly waitress explained their top sellers and we ordered their delicious chicken tacos & spicy chicken burger both come with either fries or salad. The service was amazing and fast, the food was spot on, both playes were scrumptious. The ambiance was so lovely and the background music was nice. The place was crowded (almost full) nevertheless it didn't feel suffocating. They have a closed patio with heaters. They also provide shawls if you need the extra warmth, which I thought was awesome. We ended the meal with an absolutely delicious super fudge brownie with ice cream, walnuts and shaved chocolate on top! It was sinful lol Paid $64.61 plus tip. Parking space available. Like I said , 3 times is the charm. I had the steak this time. There was 2 option herbe butter or glazed mushrooms. I took the herbe better, asked for a Medium rare. The wait time was again very disappointing. However, the steak was perfect. Cook to perfection the fries were nice and warm. They came with a little white dip and it was delicious. The salad was nice and fresh, not really tasty but I really liked it. Honesty, I was really happy with my steak. My boyfriend got the butter chicken. That he really liked. He was debating between two choice. I told him the butter Chicken was good. Good portion and he is a naan bread lover! For desert we had the Gluten free brownie. It was a good size to share, But it match the price. I was wondering why the brownies was more expensive then the cheesecake. It comes with ice cream on top and a little bit of caramel. read more

The people are friendly but not organized. We arrived at 5 pm Saturday and they were not busy and could not find our reservation. The place is very nice but very loud. Once we were seated we waited 10 minutes for a waiter to come ask if we wanted drinks . The cocktails were amazing. I ordered a combo salad which was nice but for $10 it was not worth it very small. My choice was the chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were cold and not crispy. The chicken was over cooked and it was half the size of the bun. The waiter asked me are you sure the fries are cold. Seriously !!Everyone's meal was good. The overall service was not good and the waiter was rushing us as he wanted to finish his shift . Sorry to say the waiter needs to be retrained on customer service. First time here at this Browns location and heard amazing things about the food and the service. We went for a quick bite and just got drinks and some appetizers. Service was good and the food was good. Absolutely loved the Cauliflower bites. They had lots of flavour and was delcious. The sushi was on par with sushi restaurants in the area which I was pleasantly surprised by. I was a bit disappointed in the dry rub. Maybe it just wasn't for me but was the least favorite dish. I had previously been to the Elgin location and had a great experience. So I was looking forward to trying this new one in Barrhaven. It did not disappoint! Our servers were excellent and attentive, food and drinks were equally delicious and loved the patio ambiance and music playlist. I was pleasantly surprised by the bread on the Florida Special sandwich because it was super soft and pillowy. The key lime pie was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Everything tasted very fresh and quality. Due to Covid restrictions, there was a bit of a wait if you arrive close to 6pm - no reservations are being taken. It was a beautiful night so that didn't bother me. Can't say enough good things - you'll just have to check it out for yourself. Can't wait to return. read more

Such a cool spot! The patio has an amazing bright atmosphere (even on a rainy day!). The patio is covered and has pull-down rain shields so the rain didn't bother us in the slightest. The restaurant is brand new and the decor is super trendy and fun. The food is excellent, we had a soup, salad and garlic bread combo and a southwest rice bowl. Both had amazing flavour and were super fresh! The service is also excellent, Taylor was super attentive and accommodating. They take some time to chat and get to know their guests which is lovely. We asked her to take our order and she proceeded to take the table beside us first, even when they were sat down longer than we were. We were waiting for more than an HOUR for our food. Not bad! Fish tacos were good, nothing super exciting and the lettuce wraps were good except a bit messy as you have to make your own from a half head of iceberg lettuce. We really enjoyed our food , service and experience at Browns SocialHouse! So much so we have visited twice this week. Our first time was on Wednesday with family that was visiting from out of town. They are from the Kitchener Waterloo area and were thrilled to learn that there is a Browns SocialHouse there too. We had the Teriyaki Dragon bowl and contrary to another review, found it fresh and flavourful. I shared this dish with my cousin and I honestly couldn't stop thinking about how amazing it tasted full of fresh veggies and coconut rice. The sauce was a great balance of sweet and heat! We had some fried cauliflower and they were crispy and well seasoned. The fries were crisp and reminded us of authentic "chip truck" style fries. My hubby had the French Dip and he said it was the most delicious sandwiches he'd ever had. All of the people in our party loved their meals. We returned today and had excellent service and food yet again! We mentioned a food allergy and our server who had an associate shadowing her was conscientious, asked a number of questions and made sure she communicated with the kitchen to ensure our satisfaction and safety. The cowboy salad was to die for. Crispy edamame and corn and beans on a bed of mixed greens with tomato and crispy buttery croutons and a tangy and refreshing lime vinaigrette was the perfect combo. The Florida sandwich was huge. Generous portions, delicious chicken and creamy avocado on a crisp but soft bun. The serving was enough to box up for another meal. Our water glass was never empty and our server checked in with us to ensure we had everything we needed. The ambiance was nice, the establishment clean and well decorated. Our server knew all the beers, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and even shared some recommendations for future visits. Nice to see Barrhaven on the map with a quality restaurant.
