Take out 5. There is one thing we noticed since doing the take out reviews. Most restaurants don't have a lot of choices. Only higher end restaurants managed to have a more complete menu. We had not gone to a Kelsey's in awhile since we had always considered it to be more for young families. Seeing what was available, it only reinforced that even more. There was a lot of kid friendly choices.Fortunately, we opted for more of an adult choice: Nachos with avocado and tomato sauce and battered fish. We placed our order on the mobile app.(This is a great time saver when ordering during this exceptional time). We called in to this restaurant who told us it would take at least 1 hour. So we had timed our arrival so that our meals would still be warm when we took them back home. Only one criticism, you couldn't text them to say we were in the front of the restaurant. We had to present ourselves to the front entrance to pickup our meals...and we waited about another 10 minutes. I think this is more due to the fact that pickups and curbsides was still something new and the limited staff seemed overwhelmed. To our surprise, it tasted pretty good. Even better with our Organic beers from LCBO. $$

The ribs were good..but the chicken gravy was too salty making chicken taste a little bad

    Highly NOT recommended garlic bread

Stopped in for a few appetizers before our movie. We ordered the garlic cheese bread.... we barely had a slice each! Cheese was piled on thick over an under cooked, extremely thick bread. Not what you'd expect when you're looking forward to the normal crispy garlic bread you're used to everywhere else. Definitely not pleased. Would not recommend.

First off, the decor change is pretty nice. It used to look like something you'd see on kitchen nightmares, but now it looks pretty urban. However, the menu is a rip-off. All the meals are $15-20 on average (for basic meals like burgers and chicken) and they don't even come with fries, or any side for that matter. You have to pay extra for some reason. So I'm literally paying $15 for 5 chicken nuggets because "they're made in house." Ok that's great but I still want fries, but not for $3 extra. Had to mooch some onion rings off my grandmaw. Makes me wish I spent $5 at McDonald's, cause at least I would've gotten a full meal with some variety. They think it's fine cause the chicken is filling apparantly, but who eats chicken on a plate for dinner. Just saying. I'll admit the chicken tasted good, but them fingers were not worth the prices. Probably would not come back again unless they let me eat the kids menu, cause everything else on the menu was expensive.

    Linguini chicken fettuccine. Delicious !!!!!!

Your best bet is to get an appetizer sampler and pull up a seat at the beer. Great spot to go before catching a Friday night hockey game

This O'Brien's is the second location, the first is on Heron at Bank St. I had the Shish Tawook platter $12.95. It was chicken brochettes with salad, rice, hummus and a pita. The chicken was lean breast meat, which I liked. I got 7 cubes and they were tender and flavourful. The brochettes also had red and green peppers in them and the peppers were good as well. I liked that the rice was not oily or greasy. It was long grain rice, soft, fluffy and nicely seasoned. The salad was romaine lettuce with cucumbers and carrots. It was dressed with a tzatziki-like sauce. It was good, but too much dressing for my tastes. I forgot to request dressing on the side. The pita was a standard small pita cut into quarters. It was fresh. The hummus was smooth and garlicky. Service was very friendly and efficient. My server was Cheryl and she was such a doll. Even complimented me on my hair :) Which lead us to a conversation on hair styling implements. Hair, makeup, fashion and food, topics I can talk about forever, lol. The pub is fairly small with a few booths for 4, a larger half booth at the back for 6-8, a table for two (right in front of the washrooms), and seats around the bar. In total about 30 seats or so. Prices are very reasonable. Most mains are less than $10, with none over $20. It's in a little strip mall. Same strip mall as Movies 'n Stuff, Green Bean Cafe, and Cedars and Co Food Market. Free parking on site. Affordable food and friendly service, I'm a fan. I saw other people ordering fish and chips and it looked good, especially the fries. I might have to order the Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries next time :)

It's good well prepared food. The menu is a combination of English pub food, Italian pizza and sandwiches along with some Lebanese options - truly something for everyone. I had the fish and chips. Fish was good and I loved the fries. The vegetable soup appeared to be made on site and was super flavourful. Hubs had a burger and enjoyed it too. They have a decent selection of beer to match their menu (something for everyone). Service was great - nice wait staff, quick service, attentive. Décor is more on the English pub side with booths and about 8 seats at the bar. We arrived at 8 and the place was full - however our timing was impeccable as 10 minutes later the other diners had pretty much cleared out - so 8p is the magic hour to get seating. Before then I suspect there might be a wait as the pricing is quite affordable and portions are reasonable. We both walked away thinking this is a great addition to our neighbourhood. Would I return: Yes Would I recommend: Yes, but particularly for anyone close to Kilborn Road. Like I said, great neighbourhood addition: bike-able, walkable. Free parking, but remember, don't drink and drive!

It's located in a really little strip mall that used to have a Becker's at the end of it. I had a couple of friends staying in the area, one who was home for a visit from England, and we wanted to have lunch somewhere low-key and cheap, so we chose little hole-in-the-wall O'Grady's. We all used to live in the area as kids, so it was cool for us all to be back in old 'hood. We totally forgot it was St. Patty's Day. HA! New mom brain for two of us. Oops! I was a little nervous that an Irish bar on St. Patty's wouldn't be so low-key after all, especially since I hadn't dined in anywhere since August (WOW), and truthfully I was a bit nervous that it was going to be packed. I waited for my friends in the car for a bit, as it looked like there were people going in and out with what looked like music equipment and I didn't want to crowd the entrance. My friends were late, so I decided to go in thinking I should grab a table, but there were a bunch free. It was also as dark in there as I remember haha. But it was such an amazing day out, sunny and about 10 degrees in mid-March, so when my friends got there, we took advantage of the small patio they have outside in front of the pub. It wasn't exactly scenic with the snowbank and kind of in the parking lot, but we gladly got some sun and warmth, no coats needed! We each ordered a pint of Guinness while we waited decided what to order. There was only a limited St. Patty's menu available. I'm not a big fan of barbecue sauce on burgers, but I got the special Guinness BBQ burger and wings for the table. The burger had an 8oz beef patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, sauteed onions, and Guinness barbecue sauce on a brioche bun, and I upgraded for an extra $3 to a side Caesar salad. The salad was good, not too saucy with crisp bacon, but it was quite small and I'm not sure it was worth the extra charge. The burger was super filling, but had too much sauce for my liking. I'm a slower eater, so it started getting soggy and I ended up just eating the fillings near the end lol. I did appreciate that the lettuce, big tomato slice, and raw red onions came on the side. I read some reviews online that the burger wasn't done enough, which I actually like (I like a mid-rare burger but I know places don't usually do this), but it was definitely cooked inside and not pink at all. Still moist enough, though, and not dry. I got Cajun seasoning (dry) on the wings, with a side of afterburn and sweet and hot sauce. There were no modifications allowed this day, but the sauces were an additional 50 cents rather than a mod. Our server seemed a bit stressed when I ordered it, saying she wasn't able to put in the sauces, so I told her not to worry about it if it was too much trouble, but she found a way to enter them into their system. The wings were a nice size and portion, great breading, and fried perfectly, nice and crispy, even after I had my burger first. The Cajun seasoning made them a little saltier than I'd like, but that's okay, good flavour. The sweet and hot sauce was darker, kind of like a sweet and spicy barbecue. Their house-made afterburn hot sauce, which you can buy bottled, was tomato-based and pretty spicy, so I only dipped a bit, and wouldn't recommend getting your wings tossed in them unless you're really good with spicy food. They have much better food here than I'm used to at your average local pub. Our server had a bunch of tables, but she was still very sweet and friendly, and we didn't notice a lag in service. We enjoyed our time and I much prefer this little pub over some of the others in the neighbourhood!
