Came here during my trip to Collingwood because my friend wanted ribs. However the food was only mediocre, my friend said his ribs was ok and my steak was also just ok. The buffalo cauliflower was really good tho. Overall it's pricey for mediocre food. Service was quick and friendly though!!

I have frequented this restaurant several times over the years, at least 2 or 3 times/month. However, I fear the quality (and quantity) has really suffered in recent months. We ordered two striploin meals with an apple pecan salad and two corn muffins (we only got one). We also ordered a mushroom/onion topping for each steak. Each was $6 + tax. It was this creamy, bland goop that looked as unappetizing as it tasted... The meal really did not taste good. The mashed potatoes tasted stale and the salad needed The "full sized" salad has shrunken over the past year. It's now just over 1/2 the size of the container... at a price point of $12.50 +tax! I've included a photo of the salad. There were exactly 4 pieces of apple, three small pieces of red bell pepper and three 1/2 pecans in the entire thing! There's nothing I hate more than "feeling" like I've been cheated! The entire bill was $99.91! This may be the last time I spend my hard earned money here. We deserve much better... everyone does!

Waited 30 min just to get our drink order in, then they came another 30 min later, my beer was flat. Food came after 1hr 45min. Very difficult to entertain a 5yr old girl for that long as our art work shows. Her grilled cheese was burnt, my steak was cold, and we had no utensils, another 10mins to flag down missing wait staff and they brought us one fork each and one napkin for three people. I thought this must be a prank. There was more minor things like no dessert was brought out for kids meal and no sour cream or butter for baked potato but at that point it didn't matter. Spoke to manager and he adjusted our bill and gave us coupons apologizing the whole time, but really doesn't change the worst dining experience ever.

Service was very slow! Food took forever. The steak and shrimp with waffle chips were very good.

One of my "go to" restaurants when I'm in Collingwood. Servers are friendly and food is good.

Just terrible. Food is gross. Service is bad. I would rather stay have and have a TV dinner.

They also had a few paintings on their walls to sell that were made by local artists which was really nice. Our server was polite and friendly. She made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the oysters, the soup of the day, filet mignon with herb roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables and the new york striploin with chive mashed potato and garlic mushrooms. We were quite pleased with the oysters (5/5) and the soup which was Chipotle Tomato (5/5). The soup had a nice smokey flavour and a kick from the chipotle which paired well with the sweetness and tanginess of the tomato soup. Filet Mignon with Herb Roasted Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables (3.5/5). The steak was cooked to my liking (medium rare). The char to it heightened the flavour of the steak. The steak also had bacon wrapped around which I couldn't really taste. The herb roasted potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The kitchen staff unfortunately forgot to add my seasonal vegetables on the plate which we let our server know. The vegetables were underwhelming as they were overcooked. We hope for the staff to be more attentive in future orders. The New York Striploin with Chive Mashed Potato and Garlic Mushrooms (4/5) was also cooked medium rare however, we did find some parts of the steak to be slightly overcooked. The char also heightened the flavours of the steak. The chive mashed potato had a smooth texture. Butter on the side would've been a good idea. The garlic mushrooms were deliciously cooked. It was bouncy and juicy, coated in the garlic flavour we were looking for. They also gave out bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar for starters.

The atmosphere is straight out of the 80s and a little dark, but that was OK. We had a nice open window near our table and our server. Ashley was absolutely wonderful wonderful.. Had great options for both wine and food and I couldn't believe that you would get a salad bar, a soup of vegetable and a potato with your meal and if you got a steak, the mushrooms came with it. Absolutely enough to feed a super hungry bear. We both got the filet mignon and they were absolutely delicious. We have in bacon. They came with steamed carrots that were cooked perfectly. The mushrooms were delicious. The salad bar was small, but delicious dressing was very savory. Prices were more than reasonable I don't think a lot of tourists know about this place or go there. It seemed most of the people there were elderly. They had a beautiful second room for what seemed to be a private party. We might even go there again tonight for dinner it was that good and again, especially from the US. The prices are beyond reasonable.

Service slow food is terrible. 30 minutes to take drink order another 30 to get drink. Over an hour and a half to get food. The place was not busy 1/2 of tables in open section were empty. Other section was closed with no lights. So the place was less than 1/4 full. No reason for such a long wait and this is a regular occurrence from looking at a review from a year ago. Bread is from a bargain grocery store, bland and tasteless. Salad bar is pathetic, you can get better salads prepackaged from from grocery store. Salad dressings taste worst than No Name Brand. Carrots were boiled to the point where they were mush and the orange colour was faded to a pastel colour. Seafood chowder was cream and and bits of potato, no seafood. "Cook" does not cook to match order but cooks the way he wants. Bacon wrapping steak was raw. Steak was ordered medium well and arrived rare. Lobster was over cooked to death. No one at the table got the steak the way they ordered it. Portion size is large but getting more bad food is not a good thing. Food was not seasoned. A beginner cooking at home can make a better meal. Do not waste time or money. Plenty of better options in Collingwood.

Okkkkie dokie Came…read morehere for a family reunion invitation. My elders suggested the place. Mind was thinking hmmm will it be a good place? Drove up with the family to join the shin dig. The place is nestled along the coast associated with a marina. The complex the restaurant is housed in reminds me of an assisted living vibe that was repurposed as a family resort. Kinda like if you added some water slides and pools to the side of an ol folks home. We walk in, wife and kids begin chirping about how the restaurant looks ok but is giving off some retirement home, but! The patrons are mostly family. We are seated at the back of a nice room , however our back wall adorns a large lcd screen emblazoned with a digital beach scene. My back is to it, so it doesn't bother me too much. Now that ive set your expectations to "questonable"we get to the food. Wife and i not expecting much. We go with the recommendation from my parents to try the tomahawk steak- for four people, kids ordered salmon rice veges, and spaghetti dish, The tomahawk takes about 45 mins to prepare. Comes w a Cesar salad, and we also ordered a calamari appetizer. The house bread is soft warm and fresh. W a sid eof roasted red pepper butter. 5/5 Calamari has light batter w. A nice sauce chipotle mild? Very yum- 5/5 Ceasar salad on point w the right composition of dressing, and fresh greens! 5/5 Kids: My sons who are picky 1. Salmon rice broccolini dish- completely gobbled up. 5/5 2. Spaghetti w carbonara sauce. 3/5. He said it was ok. Maybe too heavy on the cheese. Tomahawk - came out cruise missile style and landed into my top steaks crater. This thing was pre cut, on a meat board , w delicious gravy in a gravy pot, side of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables? Maybe some were also grilled . The meat was perfectly done a medium- light red , tender, touch of blood. Made to order. Meat was all eaten , as were the veges and the mash 6/5! Considering my expectations were low when i was judging this place on its looks. Also tried a side of the mushrooms- well cooked w good aroma 5/5 Desert was a chocolate lava cake - light cake part and rich chocolate lava part-4/5 Needless to say. Exceeded expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Fresh food for what we ordered. Hidden gem at this seafood restaurant was the tomahawk steak- MVP!. Give this place a try!!! Service was good 4/5
