    Night time views over Billings

What a fantastic evening and thank you everyone at Montana Sky for everything. Emmy, Camron, and especially my amazing server Loreena - you are the best. I was nursing a hangover from last night's wedding party, and needed to decompress from all the frivolity. Views on the 20th floor, over a homemade bowl of potato leek soup, and a late night cup of coffee with some cheesecake was exactly what I needed. It's a calm, serene space. The menu is thoughtful and well executed. Above what you would generally consider hotel faire. I've travelled a lot for work in my life, so am accustomed to picking the same uninspired generic offerings. It was just different here. For breakfast or dinner, I've been inspired to stay in. Service was so incredibly awesome. Again, thank you, Loreena. Effortless conversation, chatting about life and Billings, Montana tidbits. Not just her, but everyone here has just been fantastic. Thank you!!!

I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews. I dined here for breakfast for three days and the service was good , views are OUTSTANDING (20th floor) and the food was pretty good! I stay at Hilton hotels 50 nights per year and I like the Doubletree brand b/c it's a bit "old school." The restaurants usually have order off the menu vs. standard buffet. I prefer to order off the menu. This was one of the best breakfast menus of any Doubletree I've ever seen. I ordered the omelette one day and eggs benedict the second and third. The eggs benny are really, really good. And again, you can't beat the views from the 20th floor of downtown Billings on a beautiful day. I look forward to visiting again.

Spent a night here as we were heading to Banff. Tired from driving, we decided to stay in and have dinner here. View was alright, smoke from the fire was covering most of the sky. I can say, it's one of the worse restaurants I've been to at a Hilton chain. And I don't know why I ordered the Seared Tuna salad, worse thing ever and I got sick. My boyfriend stayed with the good 'ol chicken sandwich. Quality of food was abysmal and never again for us. Service was alright, nothing worth mentioning. I think we should've stayed downstairs at the bar. It was more happening there and they have small plates.

Every time we here we absolutely enjoy ourselves. The food is amazing. The view is absolutely breathtaking. My favorite food is the stroganoff. The servers are all so helpful and know so much about the menu. The wine selection is amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Adding to my review picture of the view. We thought it was lovely and relaxing,in the early morning at breakfast. At night it's obviously a city light view which is harder to see.

The food quality wasn't that great. I had the steak with some fries. I wouldn't recommend going back as it seasoned poorly and overcooked and dry.

Gross. Gross. Gross. The best part of this meal was the bread and oil that comes free with the "meal". Everything else was some of the worst food I've ever put in my mouth. Not sure what happened at this place but just avoid it altogether. Awful.

I paid $12 extra for this steak on my Ceasar Salad.. My husband loved his Smoked Turkey sandwich. Mushroom fritters weren't horrible either, not too greasy. Kiddos burger was good, and so were the homemade chips and fries. It was just an "ehhh, it's food." experience.

I also had the French chip with the JoJos. The French dip was pretty good. I added a little bit of salt to mine and the Jojo's were interesting and I glad I've tried them. There's salt and pepper sweet potatoes with molasses and cardamom custard dipping sauce. Sweet potatoes are not usually my thing. But these were actually delicious. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and the sauce was interesting enough that I'm glad I gave it a try if you like sweet potatoes with sweet things you'll love it and the sweet potatoes themselves with the salt and pepper were delicious for me. Wheelchair accessibility: the front door is very heavy and right when you come in there's a flight of stairs, but there is an elevator off to the side. There's plenty of room with lots of different seating options as well as a patio in the back. The bathroom was fine. The door is a little bit heavy, but should be manageable for most users.

The flavors were good, but the shrimp were very small and the knife work on the dish was a little rough. It also came with only two pieces of baguette, which felt a bit light for a shared appetizer. For dinner, I originally ordered the pork schnitzel and my wife ordered the lamb. About 20 minutes later, we were told they were out of the pork, which was disappointing and something I would have expected the kitchen to know much earlier in service. I switched to the veal piccata. The veal itself was very good, plenty of lemon and capers. The potatoes and asparagus served alongside it did very little for me, though. I think pasta would have been a much better accompaniment. To their credit, the restaurant handled the pork issue well and comped us a crème brûlée as an apology, which was appreciated. Enzo is beer and wine only. I had a Sauvignon Blanc with the appetizer, and we ordered a bottle of Barolo for dinner that was fantastic. The wine list is decent, but I wouldn't describe it as particularly deep or exceptional. Service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the main courses were good. There are some operational and execution details that could be tightened up, but overall we enjoyed the meal and I'd return.

Restaurant was about half full of diners and there were several servers on staff. We were seated quickly and our very friendly server attended to us just as quickly. Seasoned very strongly and matched well with the au jus. Fries were crispy and delicious as well. One of my employees ordered the bacon wrapped meatloaf. I didn't try that but did take a few of his brussel sprouts - easily the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Rich and buttery but still with a nice crunch from the char. So good! Ok, so, we started with crab cakes and oysters. The oysters were East Coast oysters and I'm from NY, so I had to get them. I haven't had raw oysters in over 20 years, and these did not disappoint! They were so delicious, I ordered 4 more, but they only had one more of the one I wanted, and I happily took it. The crab cakes were good, too. So maybe we should have quit while were ahead.... It took an hour to get our meals, and when we did, I was unimpressed. Mine was slopped onto the plate, with mashed potatoes smeared on the side and the sauce dripped on sides of the inside of the rimmed plate. The potatoes looked congealed, like they had been sitting out, and they had, because the food was cold. I asked for it to be heated up, and I'm fairly convinced they microwaved it, because the plate was warm, but the food still wasn't. The steak was extremely salty, potatoes gluely, and the broccolini was bitter and woefully under seasoned. My husband offered to switch plates. He has the pasta, which was also not very good, but at least it was hot. The description said andouille sausage, but it was clearly kielbasa, and the sauce was greasy and separated. Who hired these so-called chefs? Where did they get their degree? Do they even have one? We go out to eat so rarely. I'm a fantastic cook myself, so when we go out, we want the food we order to be better than what I can make at home. Especially at $30 a plate. So, alas, they get 2 stars, for the excellent service, the delicious oysters, and the beautiful ambiance. They apologized profusely and took my horrible dinner off our bill. We are so grateful for that. We will be back for a pretzel. And more oysters.
