Super close to my pottery studio So I came here hungry after ! Street parking The place is big fun colorful inside Not much place to sit More like a grab and go place or order To go There's lot of premade stuff like kimchi, ramen cups, snacks etc and things you can order fresh They had those viral Korean sodas, the ice in one cup and pouches of different flavors to add to the ice. That's always fun! The lady who I assume is the owner was kind suggested I try the mustard sauce with their tuna kimbap! And she was right ahah way better than the spicy mayo I usually get I ended up gearing the tuna kimbap It was really good! I will def be back when I'm in need of a snack or food while at my studio!

Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Monster Kimbap! Flavorful, fun and great variety. Staff is super friendly and they even have extra snacks/goodies and beverages not found at your typical spot. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a cute small business. Employees are very nice, and everything is clean and tidy. First time I came here was on a weekend after 12, and they had sold out of gimbap. They said more would be arriving in 10-15 minutes, but unfortunately I didn't have time to wait. This last time I came just after 11 and they had items in stock. I grabbed a few gimbaps. Everything was very fresh. I can see how some might have an issue with the value or taste, as it's not super cheap, and the items without beef in them were a tiny bit bland. The free sauces (some sort of Korean mustard one, and one that maybe was a spicy sriracha mayo or something) helped in that department.

Shrimp tempura Kimbap, banchan, BBQ pork kimbap, and sauces

Their Kimbap was unique and yummy. The sauces they offer are good, particularly their siracha mayo! Would get the tempura shrimp or the BBQ pork kimbap again. Their banchan is well seasoned and not overbearing in flavor too. Didn't try, but they had some Korean snacks and a ramen cooking station. They have an expirmentive section of food, like kimchi grilled cheese. Service was good and friendly. It's more of a grab and go food place, but they did have two tables. Overall, interior was really good vibes as well--clean, modern, and fun nickacks you could get.

Stopped by for lunch w/ my partner! Loved the monster kimbap special and everything else. Everything is priced reasonably and the owner was very kind & friendly! Also really enjoyed the tteokbokki- the rices cakes were big & plump.. it was so yummy. Def recommend this place!! Grabbed the food to go for a park picnic, but there are some seating areas if you're looking to dine in (:

Monster Kimbap is now available on all major delivery apps - UberEats, Grubhub, DoorDash, ChowNow - or you can opt for pick-up at their Gardena, CA location to savor some delicious Kimbap, also known as fully cooked Korean Sushi Rolls! For those hesitant about sushi, I highly recommend trying Korean Sushi Rolls, aka Kimbap, as your gateway to exploring other Asian cuisines. Kimbap features a thin layer of rice, pickled and cooked seasoned veggies, protein options (I tried the beef and tuna), and egg omelet, all wrapped like a sushi roll. It's truly delightful. If you're a fan of the Trader Joe's frozen version, let me tell you, this is 10000 times better. Monster Kimbap LA is a woman-owned small business passionate about crafting Kimbap and other Korean snack favorites. However, you absolutely must try their Kimchi Grilled Cheese. I was blown away by the ultra-crusty texture and perfectly balanced kimchi-to-gooey cheese ratio. It's impressively delicious and downright addictive. I could easily devour ten of those! Service is great but just to let you know, it is take-out spot with no seating. The great part about visiting at their Gardena location is you are always greeted with a smile.

We live in a little city so I was super pumped when I saw this place open not only does it have unique and different foods but the atmosphere and staff are amazing. I've tried several different menu options including the kimchi Grilled cheese, the ribs and shrimp kimbap... everything was made perfectly, great portions for the price and always served with a smile. They have a boutique you can get different pantry items as well as funky other home items including these really cute candles. There's so much variety to choose from I highly recommend going to check them out. What's even better as you can order online and pick up.

The panko crumbs on the chicken was nice and light. It was perfectly fried and not too hard/over crispy. The meat was also juicy. My toddler ate 3 large pieces of it and kept complimenting how tasty it was. The kim chi fried rice had a great fried egg in it and had great flavor. Even the side of rice was delicious! It was moist and sticky without being overcooked. The bad: I didn't get to experience the food court dining in the grocery store. The interesting: The dishes came with a side salad with orange dressing, pickled yellow radish, and some citrus wedges. The dishes came with 3 pickled side dishes (including kim chi). and a soup.

So we scoured its food court for a quick meal and found this stall with a large selection of Korean dishes. After browsing through their wall mount menu, we ordered the following dishes: A1 Galbi Tang: Do you like juicy pork ribs in clear broth? Then this dish is for you. It came with 2 huge pieces of super tender short rib simmered in a light but flavorful broth with some soft texture glass noodles. It also came with a small set of traditional Korean Banchan side dishes (with kimchi, preserved turnip and seaweed salad) and a bowl of steamed rice. A16 Hot Stone Bibimbap: This dish is for those who like veggies. Inside the hot stone bowl, there were lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, turnips, mushrooms, and zucchini. Nicely arranged and topped with seaweed, fried egg, and slices of soft beef. On the bottom of the bowl, it had slightly burnt steam rice dabbed with sesame oil. Mixing them all together, it created a kaleidoscope of colors, and delicious blending of flavors and textures. This dish also came with one set of Banchan. For those who like spiciness, it provided Korean chili sauce in a sealed condiment cup. The portions were great and the prices were reasonable. Another great spot for casual Korean food in South Bay.

Make sure to double check the hours on google or yelp because chances are, they're probably open! The fried chicken itself is really good. If you're doing pickup or delivery, I don't recommend getting the chicken tossed in sauce because you'll lose that great crispiness by the time you get home. The move is to order the regular fried chicken and get the sauces on the side instead. Just a heads up, sauces are about $1.50 each. The habanero garlic sauce is a good one -- they're veryyyy generous with the fresh habaneros and it has great flavor. One thing that surprised me about the chicken is the batter. It's not the typical Korean fried chicken style with a thinner coating -- the batter here is thicker, more like an American-style fried chicken crust. Honestly though, it's sooo good. The crisp on the chicken is great and really satisfying. I do wish they offered a spicy powder or dry seasoning option without sauce though. That would be amazing. The unexpected highlight for me is the Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Wow. The flavor is so good -- really aromatic, creamy, and well balanced without being numbing. It's honestly delicious, and dipping the fried chicken in the sauce is next level. What really brought me back to this place after my first try was the Mala Rose Ddukbokki!! I CRAVE IT!!!! They also have a kimchi fried rice side option which is a nice addition if you want something extra with the meal. I really appreciate the side of mac salad they have here too since they use the big elbow macaroni!!! I'm all about textures! Overall, really solid fried chicken and a standout Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Definitely a spot I will keep coming back to. Already salivating thinking about the Mala Rose

I had been here a few times before, so I knew what I was getting into. I ordered the 8 piece soy garlic bone in chicken wings. At first I thought the price was a little steep thinking all I would get is the chicken. To my surprise, it came with a side of coleslaw, macaroni salad and seasoned brown rice. They fry the chicken when you order so it's about a 15-20 minute wait. The flavor the soy garlic is delicious. It's not overly garlicky nor overly sweet. It's so crispy and even a few days later the chicken was still yummy. I'll definitely come back!

I arrived early for lunch and was their first customer of the day, which made for a very relaxed experience. I was able to choose a comfortable booth and was helped quickly. I ordered the bibimbap and asked if they had hot barley tea. They did, and I was genuinely excited because a lot of Korean restaurants in California don't offer it. I love having hot barley tea with Korean food, so that was a big plus for me. The banchan came out in generous portions. Everything was tasty, especially the seaweed dish and the sliced fish cake, which I really enjoyed. The kimchi was on the mild side -- personally I would have liked a little more spice -- but it was still good. The bibimbap itself was flavorful, filling, and satisfying. The only thing I didn't care for was the side of rice. It just wasn't very good, which is unusual because rice is usually one of the easiest things to get right. I only took a couple bites of it, but fortunately there was plenty of other food, so it didn't really affect the meal overall. What stood out most to me was how comfortable and relaxed the restaurant felt. They have spacious seating, comfortable booths, and a nice sound system that gives the place a good atmosphere without being overwhelming. I would definitely come back if I were dining in the area again.
