We were in London in early August to visit our friends and for some intense sightseeing. We had the opportunity to eat here after a recommendation from our friends. We were NOT disappointed! A quick bus ride and a short walk from our hotel in Archway and we were thrilled to find the restaurant still open at 8:30 PM in this sleepy inner suburb of London. We have food allergies in the family as well as varying appreciation for spicy foods and Monsoon did not let us down. All restaurants should take their cue from Monsoon's menu, with a food allergy and sensitivity key applied to each menu item. The papadums and dipping sauces were tasty. The Sha-Coo-Tee dish recommended by the waiter was incredible and the waiter encouraged our spice-averse diner to try it, promising the spice would be tempered to the diner's taste. Another diner enjoyed a lovely Manchurian. Our third diner feasted on a delicious Curry. We loved it so much that later in the week, we joined our friends and ordered take out from Monsoon, getting to try other delicious treats, including Saag Aloo, Keema and Garlic Naan, Rogan Josh and Chicken Korma. Highly recommend! read more
