Eh. Food was ok but the service was horrible. I made a reservation and when we got there they seated us at a table behind the side wall where they kept the extra chairs. On top of that it took forever to get water and put in our orders. We spilled water and had to wait 10-15 minutes just to get napkins. Again, the food was ok, nothing spectacular. My husband and I came here early on a Saturday evening. We parked in the back lot. There's no door in the back to enter, you must use the front door. There's street parking as well. We were greeted by Daniela, who was friendly and upbeat. In fact, the whole staff is friendly and upbeat, especially Rosa and Shawn. You can immediately tell they love their jobs. We started out with a dirty martini. Shawn makes an excellent one. My husband ordered the prime rib, which is a Saturday night special, and he totally enjoyed it. It was cooked to perfection and the seasonings were perfect. The baked potato was huge! I love meatloaf, and so I ordered it. I was so surprised when it came out served in a bowl! But then realized it made sense. The bottom of the bowl was covered in delicious, perfectly cooked mashed potatoes. On top sat a nice portion of meatloaf smothered in brown gravy and sprinkled with peas! Yum! The meatloaf itself was moist, and the seasonings they use are perfectly balanced. The brown gravy was smooth and delicious, not too thick and not too thin. I loved the peas. When I make meatloaf at home, I always serve it with mashed potatoes and peas! I hate to admit it, but theirs is better than mine. We finished with the chocolate vanilla cake, housemade. It's actually a vanilla cake with a hard chocolate topping and oozey, gooey, chocolate over that. Really good; a must try. If you love lemoncello, try theirs. Has a large number of tables with a separate room. Has parking in rear for a few cars (8? ) but nearby meter parking lot. It was empty when we went for brunch on a Saturday, only two other tables occupied. The food was good and they make food accommodations. I hate cinnamon so my Nutella stuffed French toast was made to order, sorry ate it before a photo was taken. The challah wasn't thick but thin like a piece of toast in the other photo and had lots of Nutella. For some reason no bananas on the French toast and didn't notice until we finished. The hollandaise said it had Madeira but no sign or taste of it here but it was still good. The entrance has two steps so not really handicap accessible. Might stop by for dinner sometime. read more

And the pork chop was perfectly cooked. I also like the Caesar salad, which was good but not the best. I really liked the penne. Service The service was unbelievable. I rate it a 10/10. Our server, David, was very nice and checked on us repeatedly. He took full ownership of the experience and went out of his way to ensure we had a great meal. My brother passed this place regularly and suggested it for a birthday dinner we had tonight. The birthday girl was craving clams, mussels and steak. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! For appetizers we got clams oreganato, clams casino, mussels, buratta salad, and a sampler. The clams were spot on and the sauce was perfect for dipping the bread (same for the mussels sauce). Buratta was fresh with just the right amount of balsamic drizzle. I did not try the sampler but everyone wnjoyed the wings. Most everyone had steak for dinner (comes with mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables). I had the meatloaf. No complaints with the entrees. We we're doing hungry and the food was so good I forgot to take pictures. Next time I'll remember to get at least a shot of the clams read more

I've lived in Westbury all my life and have driven by this place ( Formerly Benny's) 100x and never been until tonight . We decided to come here for my Mom's 75th birthday . I can't say enough about the entire experience . Daniella is absolutely a pleasure , the food was delicious ( French onion soup , skirt steak , Caesar salad and Mac n cheese with Buffalo chicken on top) the White Sangria was yummy and had a bit of a kick ! Gerardo our sever was attentive and so kind. The decor with Marilyn Monroe theme is very unique especially on Long Island. Typically you see more artsy/ themed type restaurants in the city ! My Mom had such a beautiful birthday and Monroe's was a huge reason why. I can't wake to brag to friends and go back soon , maybe for Brunch ! Came her two times so far and have no complaints about the food or service . Our first visit was just my wife and I for dinner. We heard about this place through the grape vine and wanted to check this place out and all the hype about it. We started with the calamari which was fresh and was breaded just the perfect amount. The marinara sauce that came with it was AMAZING. I had the Monroe burger which was delicious. The fired burrata cheese brings it to a whole another level. My wife got the veggie burger and she had no complaints at all. The service was good and friendly. Our second visit, we went with a group of 7 and had a amazing time. We started with the fried calamari and spinach and artichoke dip. Both were great. I got the French dip sandwich and my wife got the potato crusted salmon and they were both delicious. I preferred the Monroe's burger more but still was a great sandwich. The rest in our group got the marinated skirt steak, Monroe burger and the sliced steak sandwich and they loved it. Just ate an amazing dinner at Monroe's. The place was surprisingly empty , which made no sense whatsoever!! The service was attentive and fast! Atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. We started with several apps, such as risotto balls, clams orgeganata , and buratta. All were absolutely amazing!! Some of us had wine and some had mixed drinks which were tasty! We had meals such as veal scallopini which was the best tasting veal ( as per my daughter ) she's had in ages. I had the beet salad and could not stop eating it until my plate was clean. I cannot speak for everyone that was at our table ( there were 8 of us) but I can say this , with the exception of one , everyone absolutely loved their food. This place is a hidden gem. Excited to find this new & "tastefully" renovated restaurant. Formerly Benny's I think, the food was great and there is a plentiful selection of menu and wine choices. We got wings and taco apps and fried chicken sandwich as well as a kid's menu sliders. Everything was great including the service which was top notch. Nice twist of cornbread instead of traditional bread served. Marilyn Monroe is theme and the holiday decor is very nice. Very spacious dining area and a bar area each with hUge TVs showing sports. Came last week on a Tuesday for lunch. Food was amazing. Had the meatballs. Baked clams and the filet or sole for lunch. Had such a good experience that I came back on a Friday just for the meatballs and it happened to be happy hour. I sat at the bar was greeted by the bartender allison and a really nice server. He had an Italian accent, but I don't remember his name. He was very pleasant and very sweet. He offered me bread. The bartender was worried about having a conversation with another employee, she had the nastiest attitude, I had no idea what I was ordering being that she never even gave me a menu so I said the side order of meat balls because it was just me. I waited 20 minutes for an order of meatballs, the "side order" of meatballs did not come with the ricotta that the meatballs came with when I had it as an appetizer prior that week. I asked her for the ricotta. She had the nastiest attitude and her energy was absolutely disgusting instead of me confronting her and saying something I decided to not, but I felt very uncomfortable. She then asked me if I needed a to go box when I was literally still eating. It was so awkward and I don't know what her issue was. There was literally known in the restaurant and it was 5 PM and I'm sure it was the beginning of her shift as I was the only person in the restaurant the food is absolutely delicious here, but I will never be back because of that horrible experience. Such a shame because its hard to come by a good Italian restaurant on Long Island. read more
