Our first time here and location was good so was the inside decor. The service wasn't bad either, however, the food was a bit on the saucy side. It was swimming in its sauce. The veal marsala was overpowered by its sauce and quite frankly, the veal didn't really taste like Veal. The vodka sauce gnocchi was okay only for the breaded chicken. The gnocchi should have been softer, but I feel that it was probably frozen gnocchi that was de-frosted. It would have been nice to have more options because most of the items all had tomato sauce of some sort. A suggestion would be to have more food options that don't require tomato sauce for those that probably can't have it. But that's just my suggestion.

Always a treat coming here. We started off with fried calamari, which was crispy but could be seasoned more. For drinks, we had an iced tea and a cappuccino. The iced tea was just regular Lipton stuff nothing unique. For the main courses, we ordered the fettuccine primavera and the penne fussi, both dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and most importantly, the portions were very generous. Definitely the kind of place where you don't leave hungry. I had the fussi upgraded with pesto cream which is a winner! Of course, we had to try dessert, so we went with the tiramisu and napoleon. They were on point not too sweet. Yes, like many places these days, things have gotten a bit pricey, but the portion sizes really help justify it. You're definitely getting good value for what you pay. One thing to note: they offer about a 3% discount if you pay with cash, which is a nice little bonus. Overall, great food, generous portions, and a solid dining experience. Would definitely come back!

Got the Commodores flatbread and a chopped Italian salad. Got the order to go, food was packed very appropriately. Everything was hot. The flatbread was very good, the salad was good as well. Did not care for the balsamic dressing but other than that, everything was outstanding.

For well over 20 years, I've been going to Café Baci, and the food has always been consistently delicious. Since I've been under the weather, we decided to order takeout today. Joe, who answered the phone, was professional and very courteous. My husband picked up the order and didn't have to wait at all--the food was ready when he arrived and was still hot when he brought it home. They even included pizza bread and cheese, which was a very nice touch. As always, the food was delicious and full of flavor. I also noticed today that the dine-in menu prices are lower than the takeout menu (for example, the penne caprese is $4 more and the seafood spaghetti is $10 more for takeout). Given the current situation, it's still quite reasonable. We usually dine in, except during the height of the pandemic, so I hadn't realized the difference before. My husband forgot to bring cash, so he paid by credit card and the total was a little over $2 more due to the card fee, which is very reasonable. They are very transparent and clearly let customers know the difference between cash and credit card pricing. After all these years, Café Baci remains one of our dependable restaurants. The food is consistently delicious, the service is friendly, and the staff always makes the experience pleasant. It's not easy for a restaurant to maintain this level of quality and service for so long, and Café Baci has done it wonderfully. We always enjoy coming back.

Cafe Baci is a staple. If you come on a Friday/Sat past 5:30 expect at least a 30 min wait. Portions are large, food is tasty and service is efficient but friendly. I was able to snag a seat at the bar and had a cocktail while I waited. We went with the calamari for an appetizer penne alfredo and the cafe baci which is seafood with pasta lobster tail, clams, shrimp and mussels in a red sauce. The calamari was a little on the bland side this time. Not sure I would order again bit my date enjoyed it great for friends, couples or groups looking for dinner out

Absolutely LOVE Cafe Baci! The food is delicious!!! My favorite is the Penne alla Vodka and the Caesar salad with grilled chicken--it's my absolute go-to spot for Italian . The ambiance is very relaxing, and at night they have beautiful dim lighting. Every time I've gone, the waiters go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for the best dining experience. My waitress was Bella and she was super sweet. Plus, they give you amazing pizza bread to enjoy while you wait for your meal! Perfect for a family dinner or a date night. 10/10, definitely recommend!

Food: 5/5 We went for a family dinner so we ordered a bunch to share. We had the Calamari Fritti ($22), Pear Salad ($17), Cavatappi Secreto ($27), Penne Saporite ($29), Scampi Portofino ($32), and Chicken Parmigiana ($30). The portions were absolutely massive and they don't skimp out on the meat and seafood. The pastas were rich and very filling. I get the penne saporite and scampi portifino every time I go so I highly recommend those. Service: 5/5 The service is warm and professional. Staff members are attentive without hovering, quick to refill drinks, and helpful with menu recommendations. Even when it's busy, the pacing feels smooth and organized. You're treated like a valued guest, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Ambiance: 5/5 Cafe Baci has a warm, neighborhood Italian restaurant feel. It is cozy, welcoming, and lively. It's a great setting for family dinners or celebrations.

The food here was amazing! For starters, the cheesy bread was piping hot and was so delicious that it was hard to not finish the basket. We had no willpower, we emptied the basket, every last crumb! My colleague and I shared a pear salad. It was a large serving. Even though we each took half, it was like we had our own order. I ordered the Baci Fra Diavolo with shrimp. The portion size was huge and the shrimp were enormous! I really loved the spicy red sauce. I ate half and had the remainder for dinner later that evening. My colleague ordered the Tortellini Amore. I had a bite a d thought his dish was delicious as well. This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we were both very satisfied with our choice. Delicious food, warm ambience, and friendly service. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Be warned, the wait can be long. Why? Because they don't take reservations BUT if you time it right, you can be seated right away like we did when we went. Portions are huge and the food is delivered in a timely manner by friendly waiters. Well worth it!

Wow I've been here several times but haven't left a review. They're so great especially in the neighborhood. Large portions and very good. Great for groups and for intimate settings. The pizza garlic bread they served was drool worthy, I had to have more. We ordered the mussels in white wine sauce which was always a hit! I had the cavatappi secreto which is on the heavier cream side but it was just what I wanted. The dollop of risotto added a different layer to the pasta. Delish. My husband ordered the scampi portofino - also delish and on the "light side" because of the lemon zest. The shrimps were cooked to perfection and jumbo sized.

Pros: - Some of the best free bread on the island - Seated immediately on a Wednesday evening - AMAZING portion sizes, definitely shareable or enough to take home - All of the food exceeded our expectations! Chicken parm & spaghetti vodka in particular were perfect - Great service & attentive waitress No cons! Great family style Italian spot (and great value)

I was visiting LI for a quick trip and we decided to stop by and get Italian before heading home. Cafe Baci has been a staple in the area since college years and it still does not disappoint to this day! Everything is made fresh and the portion sizes are incredible!! I had them package 1/2 the serving immediately because there was no way we could finish it all in one sitting. My eggplant parmigiana was absolutely delicious and my friends enjoyed their meals. Don't skip out on the Zucchini Fritati!! Don't miss your opportunity for a splendid evening and experience. P.S Part 2 for 2nd visit coming soon.

    Sea bass, Yum!

Dinner with a large group of friends and coworkers. Service was terrific. Food was delicious. Portions were large. Enough to take home for a second meal. I had the sea bass. Sauce was silky and the fish just melts in your mouth. I found it to be more casual ambience than expected

Entering the restaurant, you get a feel of Italy with all the Italian artworks depicting scenes of Italy. The menu encompasses a broad range of delicacies including a great assortment of appetizers, numerous panini's, hero's, pizza, salads burgers, etc, but the stars of our dining experience were the food entrees. We began our dining experience munching on a scrumptious basket of garlic bread. I've found, over my many years of dining, that restaurants that serve a great bread basket always follow it up with great food, and this was Mauro. After reviewing a litany of appetizer items, we chose absolutely delicious artichokes oreganata. We followed the appetizer with an order of luscious eggplant parmigiana along with perfectly cooked al dente rigatoni. We also ordered gnocchi with a sublime pomodoro sauce. The sauce was not something typically seen, in as much it contained a nice quantity of onions. For dessert we had a debate between chocolate cake or a cannoli, keeping in mind that the restaurant is owned by a great bakery. Our waitress, Samantha (Sam) who was outstanding throughout, said it's a tossup. We finally agreed on the chocolate cake. When the dessert arrived, to our delight, there was an order of light and very tasty chocolate cake, and a creamy & crispy freshly filled cannoli, compliments of Samantha. In summary, we had an excellent meal coupled with outstanding service what more can you ask for in a restaurant? If possible, I recommend weekday dining. I was told it can busier on the weekend, and I would think noisy. Mangia!

Happy to say that Casa di Fratelli offers a stellar dining experience with delicious food, gracious service and fair pricing. Cocktails were refreshing and potent. Shared a dozen baked clams to start, the tender bivalves topped with bread crumbs resting in a pool of lemony butter, just excellent. My veal marsala with chestnuts entree was so yum. The tender pounded meat was topped with a sauce that tickled my tongue with a symphony of flavors; tangy sundried tomatoes, sweet chestnuts and rich mushroom gravy melded into a divine elixir. Veggies, often a mushy afterthought at other establishments, were well sauteed and crisp. My partner's lobster ravioli was stuffed to the gills with sweet meat and topped with a rich creamy sauce. He polished it off quietly and quickly, always a good sign. Portions were ample, enough for leftovers devoured at lunch the next day. Service was friendly without being overbearing. We were shown into the dining room which is simple, but the walls are adorned with lovely photos of Italy. The staff was charming and our waiter was super personable. We decided on some carafes of the house wine and it was so enjoyable. I'd order it again, any time. They brought the most delicious warm bread and butter to the table and I had to stop myself from eating it so I left room for the other food. We then started with some appetizers for the table. The hot antipasto included baked clams, shrimp oreganata and eggplant rollatini. The eggplant was well made, but the stars were the perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp and the delicious baked clams. The Seafood Salad was beyond excellent. It was loaded with shrimp, clams, calamari, arugula and red onions, tossed in a light dressing. They really know how to work with seafood here. The Italian egg rolls were stuffed with pepperoni, mozzarella and sausage and were very good. On to the main courses. Portions are more manageable vs other locations, and all well made. The Frutti Di Mare over spaghetti was wonderful and again, the seafood cooked perfectly. The Chicken Marsala was an excellent version. The Veal Francese was super lemony and quite good, although it felt a bit heavy and buttery. There was a special of a pork chop Milanese topped with prosciutto, arugula and burata and it was scrumptious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The dessert menu is a platter with a sample of each dessert. They have the standard tartufo and lemon sorbet, but I was excited about the homemade desserts they offered. The tiramisu, the creme brulee and the Italian Cheesecake were all perfection. Evern my dad was impressed as to how good everything was and told them we'd be back Also have to mention they were very kid friendly.
