this place was weird went here because I had a coupon and my normal place was booked. they charged an extra 20 dollars for an oil change, tried to get me to pay 300 dollars for fog lights. there was a printed sassy sign on the door about someone there having a marijuana allergy and that you better not have your car smelling like it lol? also they rotated my tires and put the two newest ones all on the passenger side. took it to my normal shop a few days later for inspection and they had to rotate them to fix what this place did. won't be going back read more

Avoid this place like the plague. I had two new Michelin tires put on my car which developed some tears in them very quickly. Michelin told me to bring them to this shop to have them inspected, and they determined it was a defect, and Michelin would replace them. Two months went by and this shop could not replace the tires. They claimed they were waiting on paper work that they couldn't get from Michelin. when I started calling every day, they finally said they had gotten the paperwork, but couldn't find the tires. These tires are not special; one of the most popular summer tires around. Tire rack had them in stock. Incompetence doesn't begin to describe this shops abilities. Received an email solicitation for $20 off an alignment. Made an appointment for the alignment for 10AMand arrived 15 minutes before the appointment. When waiting in line to check in, they sold some tires and an alignment to the couple in front of me. When I got to the front of the line, I was told there were 3 alignments from walk ins already waiting and it would be quite a wait. What is the purpose of getting an appointment if walk ins take priority? Alignments typically take and hour or so, so they would have me wait at least 2 hours to even get my car in. Messaged them 5 days ago, no response. Not a fan, although they are literally 5 minutes away, I will go elsewhere. read more

I had my car towed to Monro on the evening of November 8, 2022 expecting for them to at least look at it on November 9. I called around November 11 to find out they had only just looked at the car two days after they got it. once they diagnosed the issue (which I was told was break caliper and wheel) they told me it would take about 5 days to get the parts- which would have put it around November 16. I called November 16 and was told they in fact did not order the parts and had not even gone through Insurance to approve the work yet. I called every day after and once I found out the work was approved I kept getting told we don't have the parts yet over and over again. It is now November 22 and my car still is not done. It took me going into the shop and telling the employee I'm not leaving without my car for them to actually work on it. I'm not sure what's worse: it taking almost two weeks to do anything or that anytime I called I got a different story (and no one ever called me with updates). The Insurance company involved recommended this place so I didn't have much of a choice, but I definitely will not be returning. read more

Had 4 new tires mounted. I needed an alignment at the same time for the tire warranty to be valid. They mounted the tires and called to say the alignment machine broke. So now I have to go somewhere else for the alignment and have voided the warranty... Frustrating. read more

Harr Toyota tried to change the oil, but the filter was stuck and couldn't get it off. Roland was very professional, knowledgeable and was able to fix the issue in minutes. I decided to come back and bring my 2016 WRX STI, same day I met Mike. Since then, I have come here on multiple occasions for wheel/tire, brakes, suspension, and exhaust jobs. Mike and Roland are two of the people I definitely trust with my STI. With cars like these, it's hard to find trusted mechanics, but these guys are an easy choice. read more

We pulled over, drove to Monro and learned that my alignment was severely off and as a result a tire was so worn out that it needed replacing. We were in and out in an hour. Customer service was absolutely outstanding. Called this morning for four tires to be mounted on my 2500 Cummins and Chad told me to bring it in they've got time to do it no problem. Brought it here about an hour later and he was greeting my boyfriend and I outside more than excited to see my tires I got which were 35x12.50R20 - cost was very competitive and they brought the truck in immediately!!! Not to mention it's a stick with a very heavy dual disk clutch and he was able to move it around like a champ!! Absolutely best service I've had around my tires in a long time. After many phone calls being turned away due to not buying tires from the shop directly or too booked out these guys here at Monro were more than appreciative for my business and they are all more than deserving for this review !! read more

Check engine light came on and went to an AutoZone to have it looked at, and one code came up. I brought it to this place unfortunately. I was told that I needed a throttle position sensor. Unfortunately, I didn't do my research before buying. I paid a total of about 400 for the job parts and labor. I was charged 326(!!!!) For this part, that anywhere you look would cost anyone between 50-100 for my model/engine. Unnecessarily high markup for this part. I called my dealer and was told that they would've done it 220 parts and labor. Not only that, but I have a feeling that I didn't even need this job. I never saw the engine codes, and my dealer tells me that in order to replace this component, I would need to rebuild that entire part of the engine. So who knows if they even replaced it. I made another mistake of not asking for my old parts back (always do this!). Terrible service, terrible prices. Absolutely awful. Considering small claims court. Save yourself the stress and headache and go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

They didn't seal my tire properly and I had a leak and got a flat... they also cross thread my lug nuts so one snapped off when I was putting on my spare!!!! Excellent service. I stopped in because I thought I had a slow leak in my new tire, turns out I had driven over a nail and punctured it! The mechanic on site was extremely friendly and patched the site quickly and easily. I had just come from the RMV and he changed out my license plates for new ones and adjusted a part that was making a noise whenever I drove over bumps! Extremely friendly staffed and quick service. Excellent service. I went in for an oil and lube change and they rotated my tires, told me what needed to be replaced and updated in my vehicle without pressuring me. It took 45 minutes from when I walked in without an appointment but that was because they inspected my vehicle. Whole thing ended up costing 33 bucks after tax and labor. read more

I would define the lack of credibility by Mnro Muffler. I am speaking specifically about the one in Park Ave, Worcester MA. I had two bad front tires on my Nissan, Rouge 2008. I told them to replace them, and here are the PROBLEMS: First, I am positive that they have replaced the good back tires with the bad ones that they were asked to replace with new ones, However, I have no tangible evidence to prove that and it is my mistake that I left and trust them with the car. I would ask that you review you cameras if you have cameras installed. Second, the price of the two new tires along with the service was $ 340. I went the next day to Tire Warehouse at Grove street and replaced the two back tires with $260; a difference of $80. read more

My Honda blew the rear driver's side brake hose that connects at the caliper. They charged me 300 dollars for the repair. They billed me for 2 hours of labor (@100$/hr), mark up on the hose they replaced, a brake flush. They even tried to justify the price when the called to quote me. The brakes work fine, my only dismay is the overpriced service. read more

I went to this location to get new front brake pads which were on sale for $108. . They convinced me incorrectly I needed all four brakes and rotors for $581.40. The brakes failed and froze after driving 5 miles . They had the car towed back destroying the back tires.the then fixed the broken brake lines....still not fixed and replaced (unnecessary) the front end ball joints costing me $406.39. The breaks were still not fixed and they had me go to my mechanic who fixed Monro's repairs for $177.91. I will need to buy new rear tires in the spring for another $250.. Monro promised to reimburse me of the $177.91 which they never did. This incident is being investigated by the Massachusetts Attorney General's office .Bad and dishonest business practices and the mechanics work as if they never repaired a car before. this is my first automobile experience in my life! I strongly suggest other customers consider alternatives before doing business here. read more

I was referred to go to Monro Auto Service on Park Ave in Worcester, Massachusetts by a friend. I was a little leery but I said I'd try it. I went there this morning was greeted by Roland,the manager. I let him know what my concerns were. He came back to let me know that I needed front brake pads for now. He even showed me a diagram of where my pads are as far as being worn. Although he said I had time it didn't need to be done today. I figured I was there, have it done . It was a very pleasant atmosphere.I was more than satisfied. I suggest if you need anything done brakes, muffler or even tires to name a few, this is the place to go. I had my brother take my car to get inspected and the car failed because of the exhaust system. My family members usually take their cars to Monroe so, after the inspection, my brother decided to take the car there to see if they could fix it. He gets to the shop and tells the guys what happened. They take the car, put it on a lift to check out the exhaust, and fix the issue within a matter of minutes. What was the issue? One bolt was missing from the exhaust system, causing it to make strange sounds which led to a failed inspection. They didn't even charge my brother for the job. All they asked for was a review. I couldn't believe it. Other places would have taken advantage of us and maybe come up with some crazy reason as to why the exhaust was acting up just to make a profit. But not these guys. They're the real deal. They will take good care of you and your vehicle. Oh and by the way, immediately after Monroe saved the day, my brother took the car back to the same inspection place. The guy who failed the car asked my brother to rev the engine and he knew the problem was fixed just from hearing the difference. He couldn't believe it either. Dishonest Crooks - Bunch of scam artists! Munro on Park Ave in Worcester MA is full of scam artists and dishonest mechanics (both the tech and Management). These guys are a bunch of liars - I went to the shop with a metal on metal grinding sound, they told me that my rear brakes were gone and I needed to replace them. I was shocked - as I was just told DAYS earlier that my brakes were fine. They not only pressured me to do them right then and there, but told me i had less than 1 'hard' break left before it would cost me an arm and a leg, and the pads completely went. I left and went to my normal mechanic and was told I had 25% left on my pads and could get another 15k miles out of them. I proceeded to call them up after getting my regular guy to look at them, and got the Manager (Dave). Dave said 'Well huh... I will talk to them' I asked for a call back on the resolution, and he asked "why." After stating that he didn't seem surprised - and I probably was not the first person to have issues with their service, he simply hung up on me!! If you want to go here - buyer beware. If you do not know enough about cars to question them (or care enough to get a 2nd opinion) - be prepared to be lied to. read more

Meagan your not in the business to disappoint customers REALLY. My claim was denied. I bring in 2018 Ford F150 with 38000 miles the rear brake pads ( brakes were perfect other then worn rear pads) I have them do complete brake job on Friday when I pick it up drive away brake pedal goes to the floor.( Luckily was not in accident when I drove away) I spent next four hours watching them work on it pumping brakes bleeding lines they can't figure out what went wrong.The vehicle was not able to be driven so now it's at Monro until Monday so I have no vehicle for three days. I did ask the so called mechanic if he put correct parts on rear brakes because it had electronic rear parking brake his reply was I did initially order wrong parts.Monday they still can't fix it I have it towed to Ford dealership the brake master cylinder blown not hard to figure out how that happened. I paid 600 dollars to dealership for your so called mechanic screw up. BUT your not in the business of disappointing customers. I went to the Park Ave in Worcester location for tires and brakes. My car was returned to me with a vibration from the front end. This vibration got progressively worse. I went back and they changed tie rods. This did nothing to solve the problem. I have returned several times and have had no one even take car for a test drive or attempt to repair car. The manager is always at another location and the assistant manager told myself and another customer that he does not want to be assistant manager. Customer service is non existent. While visiting my daughter at a local college, I came out to a flat tire. AAA put my 'donut ' on but I couldn't drive an hour home on highway with it. I've always had decent experiences at the Monro on Park Ave in Worcester. I've been going there for years. There has been a lot of turnover lately and I suspect this could be part of the issue with other reviewers not getting good customer service. I luckily was not taken advantage of because I had primarily gone for oil changes. The guys that are running the shop now seem honest and reliable. I had my back brakes done this past weekend for about $350.00 (which cost less than the dealership with a friends and family discount).
