Ordered there pizza for delivery, took an an hour & half to get delivered. Pizza has great flavor but was just about cold since it took so long to get here . Very unhappy with the speed and their delivery service. read more

Awesome pizza, dessert pizza and appetizers. Best of all, no Provel!! Very nice seating and atmosphere. Definitely returning.

I only gave them one star due to the fact I can't rate any lower!!!! My family and I stopped at this restaurant on our way to Illinois and let me say it was AWFUL. the waiter forgot one of our orders and when he finally figured it out he tried to throw the "boxed" meal down in the middle of the table after my sister in law politely said no and then proceeded to throw the check on the table, never once apologizing. My husband asked to speak to the manager and the manager gave two craps. Ridiculous!!! read more

Food was wonderful. We ordered pepperollies, a kids piza & a large pizza. Our waitress Amy was HORRIBLE!! She didn't bring our food out, another waitress did & when I told her we didn't get our peppers on the side she said "You'll have to tell your waitress that." 20 minutes later & our waitress still did not come check on us. Not only did she not bring our food, by the time we were all done eating, she still did not come over. I had to go ask a manager for refils, a box & our side of peppers we never got. Then it took another 15 minutes to get our check. We love the food here, but because of Amy I'm not sure we will be back. read more

We love the deluxe pizza at Monicals. Like another reviewer, I grew up on Mackies pizza in southern IL, which is very similar. The toppings make the pizza. This particular location suffers from some service issues. Every time we have ordered a pizza for pickup, something has been missing -- breadsticks, ravioli, and even once they missed the order altogether. We went in person on a somewhat busy Friday night and the waitress was attentive, so perhaps they just need some training/extra attentiveness on the pickup side of things. read more

Pizza was delicious (had the thin crust), salad was okay, what we expected. Our server was fine. One thing we found a bit odd was that the staff, and management seem to sit at the bar for their breaks (not drinking, just eating). The restaurant seemed only fairly clean and of course, the floor really needed swept ... and we were there at an "off-time". We are big fans of the Monical's in Shelbyville, IL. - we love that location. We will try this location again, but for carry out ... this is some really, really good thin crust pizza. read more

On a mission to find good pizza since moving here a few weeks ago from South Bend, IN. Have been to Pirrone's, Stefanina's, Imo's. So far Monical's has been the best. read more

Well first time here and not the best. Waited about 5 minutes to even see a staff member to seat us we were the only ones waiting. After seated we could tell things might be bad staff running around and next to us the lady was told sorry about your wait. We sat for 7 to 10 minutes and still no server. I get restaurants have bad days. So we left and I told the assistant Manger the issues so hopefully they can change whatever was the issue. read more

Have been to Monical's dozens of times throughout the years in central Illinois. Really, really good pizza. Went to the Hwy K location on 2/12/2019. TRAINWRECK is perhaps the best word to describe our experience...without a doubt, the worst service I've ever experienced at any restaurant ever. After waiting in excess of 30 minutes to be seated, it took another 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. Finally, she took our order. We ordered a pizza, and added the family pleaser option. When the salad was brought, the server said, "we are out of forks, but I can bring spoons & knives for you to eat your salad with." WHAT??? When I asked "how can you be out of forks", she responded the dishwasher didn't show up for work, and they're having difficulty keeping up. Luckily, the table next to us had extra forks which they brought over to us. We ate our salad, but after 20 minutes, still no pizza. At this time, the server came to us and stated, "we are out of 14" thick crust, will you be ok with a 10"? We said "yes." It then took another 45 minutes to finally get our pizza. At this point, we had been there for 2 hours. During this time, we witnessed FIVE different tables simply walk out as they had been waiting for their food IN EXCESS of an hour. To end, I'll simply say, "Monicals has great pizza, but this location appears to be VERY poorly managed." We felt like we had been "put through the wringer" after we left...such a bad dining experience. read more

2nd time there. Had the thin crust pizza. Great flavor and delicious. Will definitely keep going back.

Tried this place for the first time today, and the pan pizzas are thee best around. We got the supreme and a meat lovers Pan Pizzas. The meat lovers was topped with fresh toppings including crispy bacon and that sausage is awesome, making it our new favorite. The sauce is great, not overwhelming to all the fresh ingredients. Mozzarella sticks seemed baked and not fried maybe? I'm use to crispy, but they're still pretty good. The pizza has definitely won us over, we'll be back with all the kiddos for sure. I would have taken pics but I took a bite and we indulged. Maybe next time on the pics :) read more

I came by to get a take-out order for a sausage pizza. No big deal. Honestly, service wasn't that bad. They were a little busy and short staffed, but handling it so well you wouldn't have noticed. At least, I didn't. I ordered my pizza, paid, and waited. The wait time wasn't that bad at all either. Seriously, they gave a wait time and it hovered right around the promised time. I honestly thought the pizza was okay. It wasn't bad. It wasn't the greatest either. It really was A-OK pizza. Which means I would be willing to eat it again. I'm not joking here. I would eat it again. Now would this be my first place to go to? Not really. Nothing against them, just the pizza wasn't a stand out for me. I would like to try a couple of the other items on the menu. They also make the effort to have as much of their take-out as recyclable as possible. Which is a nice little bonus for me. Like I said everyone, I would come here again. read more

I've eaten here a few times and I have had their gluten-free pizza delivered to my place of work a number of times and I have to say it is the best it's excellent. The atmosphere at the place is great too. read more

Very slow!!! An hour and had not gotten the appetizer. Asst. Mrg. blamed slow kitchen on the use of fresh ingredients??? Most restaurants I go to use fresh ingredients and are not this slow. Server was attentive. We finally took our food to go. When we got home we found the appitizer to be over done. We had ordered a thin crust pizza and a pan pizza. The thin crust was good. The pan pizza was not fully baked; it was doughy in the middle. I will not be going back anytime soon! read more

Best thin crust pizza hands down. Blows Imo away. Glad to see good pizza to finally to come St Louis.

First and last time here. The breadsticks we ordered arrived quickly but room temperature so we're obviously already made and tasted oddly like Gus's pretzels. We ordered two pizzas and they arrived 45 minutes later so we wound up getting it to go. The pepperoni was quite good but the Florentine was burnt. On the positive side the server "Sully" was excellent. read more

I've been to this place twice before and had a great experience both times. This third time, I can't say the same. I got to the restaurant before my sister and her friend so I asked for seating and then said the other two would be there in about ten mins. The server was very nice and was like "sounds good no problem." When my sister and her friend showed up, a different server came by and took our drink orders and food orders and I thought 'no big deal.' However, a few minutes later the original waitress comes out to get our order and were like ? We already had someone come get it so she gets confused and says she'll go find the other waitress and talk to her. So basically, this just started a big back and forth thing where we ended up practically having two servers the entire night who kept coming to ask us a question that was already asked, etc. One of the servers asked me if I wanted my drink refilled and I said 'yes that would be great' and I never got my drink refill. I understand things can get mixed up, but I don't see what would've been so hard about the two servers talking to each other and deciding who would take the table. The restaurant wasn't THAT busy and I'm sure it wouldn't have been hard to figure out who had been coming to our table more than once. It also took about forever for my appetizer to come out and even longer for my sister and her friends. Our pizzas didn't come out for another 10-15. Granted, it was in the evening so I know it was busier than normal and things might take a little longer but again, it wasn't *that* busy-and over 10-15 mins for an appetizer seems excessive. The appetizers and pizza were really good and always have been but the crust on my pizza was burnt unfortunately. Near the end of our meal, a man (who I'm assuming was the manager) walked up and asked us how we were doing and if we would like to go boxes. We said we would. A couple mins later one of our servers comes out and asks us if we want to go boxes. We explained that somebody else was already getting them for us. She said "Oh was it a guy? Kind of old?" We laughed uncomfortably and said "..yeah" so then she leaves and a minute or so later the man comes back with to go boxes but instead turns towards the table across from us (who already have to go boxes) and says "you already got to go boxes? I was bringing you your to go boxes" the two people look completely confused and uncomfortable and I thought that perhaps he had gotten our two tables mixed up and tried to help by saying "oh did you mean our table?" And he turns to me and says (in what I'm assuming he thought was a joking tone?) "noo I got them to go boxes too." It was rude and annoying however so I immediately turned away from him and resolved to just look straight ahead and hopefully leave here as soon as I can. However, this man decides to keep going and says to my table now "so I hear you guys called me old." I was completely taken aback and, once again, tried to deflate the situation by smiling awkwardly and saying something like "oh well she said it and we just kind of laughed and agreed or whatever" and instead of taking the line I'm trying to throw him, he says "mmm that's not what she said." And then doesn't say another word after that. Not "I'm just joking guys" or "sorry I'm just messing around" or anything like that. At this point, I'm completely fed up with this night, the servers, this man, and the lack of service and lack of professionalism and care. I dropped the smile from my face and looked straight ahead, not saying another word to him. It was so so uncomfortable and rude, I couldn't believe that first of all, the server would even describe him as old to us in the first place. Second, that she would literally go the kitchen and tell the manager that *we* called him old, and third, that he would come out and 'confront' us on it or something. Wtf??? I have worked in fast food, I've been a server, and I work in retail now and I would never and have never pulled shit like that before. The server came to give us our checks and once again, the other server came out a minute or so later asking if we wanted our checks and then realizing we already had them. This experience has soured this place for me completely which is super disappointing because they have a great GF crust, but I guess I'll just have to find one somewhere else because I'm not really interested in going to a place that has a staff like this. read more

Same great tasting pizza that I grew up on in central IL. Service at this location is slow and inconsistent. It's a new store but they need to get their act together. read more

Good Pizza for a non- St. Louis Style! Definitely a good choice over Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns. Only had the thin crust so far, but I'm not a Deep Dish fan at all. Salad was good. Price was decent. Overall very nice change. read more

Love our Monical's! So happy they are in our neighborhood! Salads are wonderfully fresh....pizza is wonderful! Our favorite is the meats with green olives and premium blend cheese. Glad they deliver too! read more

Although we really enjoy Monical's Pizza we will never ever order from here again! 30 minutes after our estimated delivery time we called in to check on the status of our order. We were told that they were busy and if it was not delivered in the next 5 minutes to call back again. On the second call to inquire about our order we were told that the delivery driver was stuck in a car accident and had one pizza to deliver before ours. 2 hours after our delivery time we called again to get a manager on the line to tell them we had thrown in a frozen pizza and to forget the whole thing. Needless to say the manager admitted that the pizza had not even left the building yet and we were lied to by her staff! Lied to! I can not believe it. Never again!!! read more

Pizza is amazing. The only thin crust pizza I will eat. Monicals had good food and good service. The only thing I would have this location do better at is if I ask for extra toppings, that they actually give me extra toppings on my pizza. More than a few times I pay for extra and I don't get it. It other than that, I have no problems. Keep up the good job and keep producing good food. read more

Good florentine pizza, good service, good selection, atmosphere, etc. Would recommend.

I love Monicals pizza. When I heard one was opening locally, I was super excited to try it. I have had it now and it did not disappoint! The crust is thin and crispy. The pieces are cut into small squares so I don't feel bad about eating so many! There is just enough sauce that is a bit tangy. The cheese is plentiful and the toppings are very generous! read more

Came here for lunch for the first time.. I will be back! The service was great, they were very tentative to our table. All the staff were so friendly and outgoing. Got the pan pizza for myself. The crust was so fluffy and soft. Next time I'll have to try their thin crust, since they're apparently known for it! read more

Good pizza! Horrible apps! Don't waste your money. Pizza is the only flood thing they cook fresh! Peperollies were burnt& gross!!! Breadsticks were dry & tasted old-yuck! read more

Service was fine. We ordered carry-out hoping to try a new pizza place. We didn't stray far from our usual toppings. We order the family pleaser... Not too sure when I'm supposed to be pleased. The salad was the best thing about this meal, but even dominos can't screw up a salad. The pizza was bland; the crust was just cardboard with seasonings to try to mask the tastelessness but just left a disappointing taste in my mouth and crumbs and shakings on my lap. I wish the food was as awesome as the service. read more

Service at the beginning was great. We got seated quickly, ordered our food and received our drinks accurately. We had plenty of interaction with the server and refills on our drinks while we waited for the food. The food was very good. However, when we received our food, the service stopped. No refills, had to grab another server to get pizza cheese, grab another server for salad dressings.. etc. We had to almost grab him to finally get the check. Would probably go back, and hope the service is better! read more

Monical's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - O'Fallon, Missouri

Food is decent. Service is a freaking joke. It takes 7-9 mins to cook a pizza in their oven, yet takes 45 mins to an hour before it's at the table. Not even busy when we were there. How are you guys still in business? read more

Waited 15 minutes for a server to take our order. Ordered a small order of wings and two calzones. The wings came out about 15 minutes later, another 25 minutes after that we FINALLY got our calzones. The food wasn't bad, but after an hour and a half for lunch we won't be back. Many staff moving slow or just standing around in the kitchen. We should have just gone to our usual place (Stefanina's or Racanellis). read more

We waited 2 hours and never got our pizza! Called 4 times! Our company finally left because they were hungry. We have no idea what the pizza tastes like and we will never order from them again. Thanks for screwing up a great pool party. If you can't handle the business let us know so we can call Dominos! read more

Always a fan of Monicals since I live on Illinois 30 years ago. It's the best pizza ever. Blows away St. Louis style garbage.

We decided to try this place and ordered delivery . Only good thing I can say was our pizza was out of the oven hot. The pizza looked amazing, but turned out to be one of worst pizzas we've ever tried The cheese tasted like wax. The crust had a burnt aftertaste. The sauce was bland. The pizza was cut into bite size pieces for some reason. The salad was expected. Really disappointed, heard some good things from people. Hopefully this was an off night read more
