Bright space with lots of tables but not many customers. We should have been warned by the fact we passed several restaurants on our way to Monica's with packed parking lots and arrived at Monical's only a couple. Against our better judgement we proceeded in anyway. Server was super nice and outgoing. Tried to explain the menu but to no avail. I am still scratching my head on how the menu was supposed to be deciphered. We ended up just winging it and hoping for the best. What arrived was two small pizza's that, although the window stated voted best St. Louis pizza, was not the best pizza, St. Louis or otherwise. Although I asked, there was some cheese other than mozzarella or proved and I was not a fan. We were more than 45 minutes from home but even if this was right up the road, I wouldn't patronize. Sorry to say, we didn't like the pizza and could not make head nor tails of the menu

We got dinner at Monical's last weekend. I have to say they have some of the most delicious pizza I mean it is absolutely amazing. However, the prices are definitely high. We ate at Monicals and it took a very long time to get our food. However, our server was great. She was super sweet and whenever we did get our food we were impressed. This is definitely a good place to get pizza, however, be ready to spend some money.

First time here for #pizzapassport This is a chain, mostly in central Illinois, but don't let that deter you from trying them. They were voted "best pizza in St Louis" in 2018, according to the Post-Dispatch Go section. Of course, "best" of anything is subject to one's own taste. We will definitely try them again in the future. We ordered at the counter then found a table. Service was okay, we had to wait for someone to check on us for refills, but perhaps that's because it was early afternoon. They weren't busy, but probably short-staffed. They offer several pizza and sandwich choices.

Pathetic excuse for a 5 topping pizza. $33 w/delivery and tip.

What could improve? Start with the price point and work forward. Pizza was undercooked dough and cheese sprinkled with 5 dollars worth of ingrediants. Sad.

There's both tables and booths along the walls. If you're in a larger party I def recommend calling ahead. We've had cocktails here, chicken parm sandwich, grilled chicken panino sandwich, fratellis salad, chicken Alfredo, tutto mare, spaghetti, the al formaggio, and the affogato. Everything has been delicious, fresh, and hot! The only complaint I'd make is that although it says panini for sandwiches they aren't the traditional paninis that are pressed & grilled but instead are just sandwiches so that was disappointing to find out after the fact. The staff are so friendly and attentive we hadn't been for almost 2 months and our waitress still remembered us & what I usually order. I love getting the al formaggio but instead of ravioli I get fettuccine, I love being able to have a portion of all 3 yummy sauces they have. Overall a great restaurant! I love that it's family owned, fresh ingredients, and a lot of stuff made from scratch (complimentary bread is yummy). My only true complaint would be that they don't sell that creamy Italian dressing by the bottle, would totally buy it all the time it's so yummy! Anytime we're in the area we'll be stopping by.

We arrived early for our reservation but they were able to accommodate us, and we continued to receive excellent service courtesy of Hadley for the duration of our dinner. My boyfriend enjoyed his Negroni, which was very adorably adorned with an "XOXO" stamped ice cube. I had a glass of the Sangiovese which was excellent with our meal. They require you to order your entire meal at once, due to the very small kitchen staff. We started with the citrus salad, which was shockingly the star of the show. Do NOT skip this! Everything on the dish went perfectly together, I hope to continue to see this on the menu in the future. Our salad was followed by the mafaldine bolognese, which was rich and delicious, with impeccably cooked pasta. We also tried the sugo pizza, which was on their seasonal pizza list. This wasn't our favorite, but still very good. The guanciale was amazing, albeit a little salty with the other toppings. The pizza crust is definitely the star of the show, rightfully so! I can't wait to come back to try more. Many friends had recommended Noto to me, and it certainly did not disappoint.

I thought I left a review the first time I tried this place early last year or late 2024 but I…read moreguess I didn't. I have since been back at least four times. The first time was a great impression. My fiancé at the time ordered a margarita pizza which was delicious. I ordered a garganelli pasta with some sort of red sauce and beef. It left a lasting impression that made us want to come back for more! The impression was so lasting that I made a reservation for my bachelorette dinner to be here but the pizza I ordered fell very short. I think I ate once slice and left everyone else eat it. We got about 3 different other pizzas and they were just okay. The arancini was good and the blue crab pasta was really good and I was like okay I'll order that next time. It was also to celebrate my birthday and they brought out this dessert and the clove flavoring was so bold I spit it out. It was actually not good at all. I felt bad because they gave it to me for free so I just said I was way too full to finish. (First two visits food pics were on my previous phone so I do not have those any longer!) The third visit, I ordered the blue crab pasta and for the price there was barely anything in the bowl for one, but there were also these small chunks of lemon in it and I could not see it so I bit into it with the peel and it was so sour that it just ruined it for me. Ordered the arancini again but there wasn't enough sauce. The burrata was good though. I feel like I can't catch a break lol The last time I went (last night) we rock paper scissored between the shrimp toast and burrata. Shrimp toast won and I had really great shrimp toast from Indo so this fell flat and then I ordered the garganelli with kale and sunflower seeds and it really wasn't anything great and I've come to realize that this place is overrated and I really think it's psychological because there only open certain days of the week and they're so booked out so it MUST be fantastic, but it's just.. good. That's probably the last time I'll go. I feel a lot better spending my money at Katie's. It's more of a 2.5 star rating but I can't do halves and 2 seems like I hated the place but I didn't. It just really fell short the last 3 visits when other places are just so consistent with quality, Noto has been consistent with disappointment. Hot take, I know from other reviews, so take what you will. Other notes * it's pretty loud so prepare to speak up * very small waiting area - more like an aisle really and an outdoor four person space deck with a door leading to a ramp * even if you make a reservation, the exact time isn't guaranteed until the party before you leaves and they don't rush customers (good if you're the one dining, not so good if you're waiting -- had to wait the night of my bachelorette * no tiramisu a tragedy really * dim lighting so very romantic / love the aesthetic * though it's listed as classy, I've seen men wearing cargo shorts, people wear sweats... disrespectful in my opinion but no strict dress code

Our waitress told us that when the new owners took over they were able to buy some of the original recipes so people still come in for things they used to enjoy from the Madison's ownership. At our last visit we ordered the following: large combination salad to share amongst three people, fettuccini Alfredo, rigatoni carbonara and the beef mudega. The beef mudega came with soup which was ratatouille. For dessert we ordered the turtle cheesecake. Everything was great especially the salad (they're known for their salads) and the carbonara except for the beef mudega. It was not prepared the usual way that I am accustomed to so it tasted very off in my opinion. I could not bring myself to finish it, but I was fairly full from the salad anyhow. I just know not to order that again. I ate some of my spouses rigatoni carbonara and it was delicious. One of the few places left that actually tries to prepare carbonara with more costly ingredients than bacon bits. LOL The ratatouille was okay but not great. It takes a special skill to make great ratatouille so I'm not judging the whole place on one soup. The turtle cheesecake was wonderful but I will warn you it has a lot of caramel on it if that's not your thing, I wouldn't order it. We came in on a Monday night, and the restaurant was rather busy, even for it being after 7pm. We were seated promptly by the window. The decor in the place is rather plain and, well, dated, but I'll never be picky about what a place looks like in the regard. Is it clean? Yes! Anyway, we had an opportunity to browse the menu before our waiter made it to our table. Mind you, it was a busy place and he was the only waiter, as far as I could figure out, so we were totally fine with a delay. We ordered an appetizer, mozzarella sticks, and we both ordered manicotti, one with red sauce and one with red/white sauce. I also ordered a side salad to try out their house dressing. Our appetizer came out fairly quickly, along with bread and butter. Both were great! I wished the mozzarella sticks were a bit warmer, but that's just me being picky. It wasn't cold by any means. Our manicotti came out pretty quickly. The presentation was very boring and plain: it was served on a plate, not a baking dish like many other places. However, the flavor? On point! It was sooo good. The pasta specifically tasted very fresh and was almost crepe-like in texture. Seriously tasty. The sauces were equally fantastic and not bland or boring at all. We wanted dessert, but we were so full! Next time we are totally doing dessert because I'm all about some tiramisu. It was a great meal and we will definitely be back. Don't sleep on this place and don't judge it based on the outside (a strip mall) or the decor. It's excellent!
