We stopped by for their delicious foccacia pizza but were informed that they don't serve it after 1:30 pm. We settled on the tuna melt but were disappointed by that; cold tuna salad, greasy soft bread (ie not toasted enough), and a slice of unmelted cheese. It really didn't work. We also ordered a few baked goodies but were disappointed to see a bug flying on the cookies. I'm giving them 3 stars for the overall vibe of the restaurant and past experiences. I'm hoping that today they were just having an off day.

I ordered a power bowl, with the dressing on the side and added tofu. It was effectively a large bowl of black rice -- a meal unto itself -- topped with slightly chilled vegetables. The guacamole and slaw that came on it were crisp, and they mixed into the rice to give it a texture both smooth and crunchy. On the other hand the sweet potatoes, lentils, and tofu were cool and mushy, like they had been cooked the day before and just come out of the fridge. They warmed party in the rice. The flavors were mild, except for the dressing. I'm glad to have ordered it on the side because it overwhelmed everything else with vinegar. The ingredients generally seemed to be a couple days old. The green onions were dried out though firm, and the sourdough it came with was a bit stale. In the future, I will probably stick with the small bowl, which cuts down on the rice.

The NY was a half sandwich, which we weren't told. Flavors were mute & dull, very lacking. Tomato "bisque" should not be called that, it was offensively acidic/bitter. I honestly can't imagine how it went wrong in so many ways. The BAS upset me the most by far. It was an unseasoned, unloved, meat slab spud. No flavor, tough meat and no condiments to be found. I couldn't even tuck in because of the effort it took to cut into pieces. Broccoli soup was subpar, not seasoned and lacking but the best thing I ate in this meal. Why are the cookies sooooooo thin? But the taste was expected. Lastly the pie.... if it weren't for the absolutely soaked crust it would've been great. The filing was smooth and yummy but the crust was inedible. **Now normally I don't go so deep on a review but I was really caught off guard.

I did a semi-frantic Yelp search to find something that was open, delivered to the hotel, and was something my kids would eat. Calzones weren't really on my radar, but the search led me to this place and I'm glad it did! The menu is pretty big with lots of fun choices. I ordered directly from Yelp on my phone, which is always a little bit of a pain (not the restaurant's problem), but was still able to customize a couple of our choices to match exactly what we wanted. The delivery was WAY faster than expected, and the delivery guy called just before he got to the hotel to let me know he was on the way. Everyone was very happy with our choices-- chewy crust with nice crispy edges, and plenty of fillings (but not so much that they slopped all over and made them impossible to eat). The favorites were the combat zone and the firecracker. Extra dipping sauce was tasty too. Unfortunately I probably won't be back anytime soon, but that's only because I don't live here haha....if I was a local I could easily see this place being a favorite.

Because it was kind of late, we opted to share the Hawaiian calzone, a garden side salad, and we each ordered a Coke Zero. I honestly cannot believe this place wasn't busier for being a pizza place on a Friday night, but also Lincoln Square is not typically somewhere one thinks about when deciding where to go out on a Friday, but I digress. We picked a table and waited while our calzone was made, fresh. As promised, in less than ten minutes, we were called up to pick up our food. The salad was fresh, and came with red and green peppers, spicy red onion, and juicy grape tomatoes, which was a nice change from typical boring garden salads one gets from other pizza places. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. Excellent French dressing. The Coke Zero - crispy! Delicious. The calzone was a decent size, not too big and not too small, perfect for one really hungry person, or just enough for two to split and not feel gypt. The crust was perfectly done, nice chew, good bake, and delicious yeasty dough. Loads of ham and pineapple, and delicious melty cheese. The calzone came with a side of marinara for dipping. Next time, I will add jalapeños, if I order it again. I might have given Patricio's five stars had it not been for two main issues: 1) the marinara was cold. Had the sauce been warm, it would have won me over, and 2) the calzone's fillings needed some oomph, like maybe some seasonings, a sprinkle of oregano and garlic powder, or maybe smoked ham instead of regular, and maybe sprinkle some Parmesan for a little umami in with the mozzarella, just to give the filling some extra flavor. It needed something to take the tastebuds to that five star range. Even so, we agreed we will go back and try other things on the menu. They have pizza by the slice, whole pies, Italian beef and other sandwiches, and pasta. I am thinking this little family owned joint will be a town favorite very soon! We liked it.
