Service was top notch, had a nice feel about the place. The salsa wasn't that good to me, lacks flavor. The California burrito was big and tasted good but not great.

First time here and definitely not our last. Everything was sooooo delicious. and the service was 100/10 all the staff was amazing. Really clean and beautiful. Definitely my top 1 out of all the restaurants I've tried in the Conroe area.

Enjoyed the food. Good flavor on beans and street tacos. Margarita flight seemed to be very one note with each margarita being same with just a different flavor squirt in each glass. It was a beautiful night afternoon outside so we sat on the patio. There was a large party out there and as the meal progressed the kids started running all around, screaming, and throwing balls over us. Staff was in an out to serve, but no one addressed what was going on. We finally quickly swallowed the rest of our meal and went to hostess to pay. Staff should have politely stepped in and said that was inappropriate for a restaurant and others were out there besides them.

Want the best margarita in town? You need to come to Monarca's and try the skinny margarita!! My Boyfriend and I have been coming here for years because not only the service and cleanliness of this place is great, so is there food! Margaritas and tacos have never tasted so good than here. We will go and try New Mexican restaurants around town but we always end up back here, because they do NOT even come close!!

I ordered the Ribeye street tacos which are ribeye tips, (I cut the onions), cilantro, queso fresco soft corn tortillas with avocado salsa and spicy red sauce. I love hot food and this sauce was hot to me. So good! It also came with black beans which had great flavor. The restaurant has a Spanish, airy feel to it. It was clean and I would go back to this location again.

I met my son at the Gringos for a "quick lunch" before an appointment. When we walked in, there was no one at the hostess stand. After a 3-5 minute wait, the hostess appeared and assisted the couple in front of us. She put them on a wait list because they wanted a booth. We also requested a booths, so were also put on the waitlist. When the hostess put us on the list, we were told the they just needed to clean some tables. So we sat and waited. After 15 minutes, I got up and asked how much longer. Again...no one was at the hostess stand. After several minutes the hostess walked up and I inquired on an appropriate wait time. Her reply was however long it takes to get tables cleaned off. A quick look around, I could see many, many , many booths cleaned off. She took the first couple back and then disappeared again. Finally, a gentleman who I assumed was the manager approached us and sat us. We were quickly greeted by our waiter, Jason. From the looks of Jason, and unenthusiastic greeting, I'm going to say that Jason should have called out for the day. I have had warmer welcomes at Waffle House than this kid could muster. Jason took our order and he too disappeared. We waited so long for our lunch, I was beginning to think something had happened. I mean , we were now past the hour mark of walking into the place. Maybe it wasn't entered into the POS. Maybe there was a large to go order placed right before us? Maybe our food was ready, but just sitting in the window getting stale and cold? Ding ding ding! Yep. I had the coldest fish tacos and my son's fajita tacos were dried out. We would have said something, but again, Jason had disappeared. When he came back around he dropped the card reader on the table....still had plates, never asked for my reward number , to go boxes, nothing. When I asked him to enter my reward number, he put other tables dirty plates in front of us to take me to the screen to add my own number and walked away. That's the last time that we ever saw Jason. And I think that this will be our last visit to the Conroe Gringos. Serious training needs to happen at this location or it won't make it. Eating out is too expensive to put up with a snotty, eye rolling hostess and waiters who "appear" to be self medicating?

You choose a numbered spot, text the restaurant where you are and the staff will bring the food to your car. During the summer, this is greatly appreciated so I don't sweat in my work clothes. I also do enjoy their food. Some of my favorite are the fajita platters, the chicken tinga enchiladas, mixed ceviche and the chicken flautas. The only thing I've ever ordered that I didn't like were the seafood enchiladas. I was surprised that the enchilada itself is a cheese enchilada with a few pieces of seafood on top. It wasn't what I expected. I will definitely be back!

Michael was our server, he had a great personality, made sure our drinks stayed full and made sure to get our birthday girl a group to sing the signature song. I had the large gold margarita which tasted great! For dinner I chose the chicken quesadillas which are always cooked just a little crispy on the outside, gooey cheese inside and plenty of chicken. The restaurant was loud but we could still hear each other enough to talk. All in all in was a great dinner and we had a good time.

The restaurant felt very dirty and outdated, which made it difficult to enjoy the experience from the start. I ordered the stuffed avocado with fajita beef, and I only took about two bites. The avocado was a very bright/neon green, and the beef was mostly fatty pieces rather than the tender fajita meat I was expecting. The outside crust was also burnt, and the avocado itself was surprisingly small--smaller than the palm of my hand. My boyfriend ordered the chimichanga. The meat was very chewy and, overall, it felt like the food wasn't very fresh and may have been sitting out for a while. The meat was seasoned well, but unfortunately, it was still mostly chewy and fatty pieces. Overall, there were a few things that were seasoned well, but the quality and freshness of the food were a major disappointment. Combined with the outdated and unclean-feeling environment, this just wasn't a restaurant we enjoyed. We wouldn't go back.
