Was introduced to this cute little restaurant through a yelp event and had to come back because the food had me in a food coma afterwards. It's a small but mighty restaurant that left a lasting impression on me! The wait staff was the sweetest, my mom is very picky but with only a few of the things she said she didn't like, our waiter was able to suggest curated meal options for her. We ordered the Sampler and Birria Tacos. The sampler was one I had had field the Yelp event and impressed me when I ate a few items from it. Piping hot flautas, nachos, and quesadillas with other sides were my favorite! Classic Mexican spices, slow cooked chicken, beef and ground beef, housemade flour tortillas! This is like a hole in the wall or hidden gem. Great Mexican food and space. Loved visiting here from the outside Conroe sign and seating area, to the fancy photo ops and clean seating area inside. The best margaritas I've had in a while and everything I've tasted is great. All homemade and fresh. With great hosts and chefs. So if you're looking for a great authentic Mexican restaurant, visit La Taqueria in Conroe. They also do sip and paint events or even party events. Wow. This hidden gem is amazing. From the chips and salsa (which is amazingly delicious) to the service, everything was so perfect. The Verde enchiladas and Chimichangas were so, so good. Try the Cochinita pibil, it's the best around!!! Very great drink specials, the margaritas are phenomenal and street tacos- amazing!!!! This place is a wonderful, intimate atmosphere and all of the people that work here are extremely friendly! Only complaint is that we don't have one closer to lake Conroe, but definitely worth the drive for us!!! read more

Several people have posted on Facebook to try this restaurant that it was really good. I thought it was new only to find out it's been here a year. I can honestly say this place makes you feel so welcomed and everyone is super kind not to mention my street tacos were off the shanizzle wizzle!!! We found this spot last week and have already been twice! The customer service is amazing and so is the food. The decor inside is so cute and the drinks are great! Hidden gem off FM1314. Homemade authentic mexican food. Waldomero and Paola took great care of us. Waldomero suggested a special off menu which was chicken, beef, shrimp, cheese all grilled and onions and peppers with rice, beans, guacomole, cheese, pico and homemade flour/corn tortillas. We ordered it for one And was plenty for us price was $29. They also have one for 2 for $49. Finished off with wonderful churros with chocolate dipping sauce and flan (good but not my favorite). They gave us plenty of chips and sauce too. They said they have been open for a year. They do a valentines special and crawfish on Sat. Simple but delicious! This was our first time but not our last! we USE to eat here all thr time but will never go back again by the way we were treated tonight order a small chicken quesadilla a large beef quesadilla and a small queso was 40$ didn't care about price because again we always supported this business but when we got home I laugh and looked at my "large" and "small" Was 4 one bite prices of small and 6 one bite size of large . Asked for a refund because 40$ is insane for what I got. Nope they don't do refunds when I've personally seen them do them before but wanted to add 2 more pieces to the small quesadilla . Just came home from the La Taqueria Mexican Grill and it was was so good We had a flight of margaritas that were awesome. My husband had the 3 crispy tacos and I had the Fajita enchiladas . Both were great but my husband liked mine the best. I had queso instead of the gravy on top my enchiladas and it put it over the top. Service was great too! I've driven by this little restaurant a few times, husband wanted Mexican food and so I took a chance and tried it. Ordered take out, and the wait time was good seeing at how they were not busy. Got home and I must say, the food is delicious! Husband is picky about his enchiladas, but not these! He cleaned the plate! The salsa is very tasty and not overwhelming. Next to try is the fajitas!
