I went to Troy Arctic Cat today to hopefully get some advice and prices on fixing up an older sled…read morethat is used as a spare at a small non-profit xc skiing club I volunteer at. I'm very mechanically inclined when it comes to cars and trucks and I am actually a structural engineer, however, I'm out of my element a little with snow machines. To make matters more difficult, the sled I am trying to fix had been left for dead a few years ago, and though I've determined the cause of death, basically the drive/reverse drop case broke into pieces, I don't know enough about sleds to know what would have caused this. I made this clear to the particular customer service guy that was helping me and he gave some helpful advice but was very rude and condescending about it. He spent the conversation trying to steer me away from fixing up this sled and suggesting I buy a new machine. After he accepted that buying a new sled was not an option for the ski club, he went on to tell me that he can't really help me essentially because I don't know enough about snowmobiles. The useful advice was that he finally directed me to some used parts dealers, and in his rant about how little I know he listed a few possible causes for the dropcase to break apart like it had.

Every time I walk into this shop (which is fairly often) I'm always blown away by the custom work they have going on and how excited the guys are about what they're working on. What makes me different from most folks that go to this shop is I'm a Harley guy. I can say without question that Chris and Josh are comfortable and confident working on any make of motorcycle. I trusted them to work on my Sportster and I trust them now to work on my Road King. When you drop your bike off for work you'll always have a good idea on what it's going to cost. These guys are great at quoting an estimate and follow through with great communication should they discover something else that might need attention. They'll never do any work without finding out if you actually want it done. These are stand up honest guys doing something that they love to do. Just stop by the shop sometime and have a conversation with these guys. If their genuine enthusiasm, passion and positive attitudes don't win you over....you should probably find another shop.

Steve, the owner apologized at first and told me it was unacceptable. He indicated that he would call to let me know timeframe and cost. He never did. He told me the parts were ordered and be patient. I waited over 4 months and finally told him I wanted my chainsaw back. He put the saw in a cardboard box and charged me $311.90 to "take it apart and diagnose it". When I arrived to the shop, he refused to let me use the credit card machine and said cash only (I purchased items there in the past using my credit card). He was just trying to be rude about it and making it difficult for me. Bottom line. DO NOT support this business!! It is currently up for sale/lease/rent and does not seem to be in a good place financially. Jim is completely rude and does not value his customers. I will never use this business again

When we arrived…read moreand my boyfriend explained what we were looking for and that it would be my first bike, the two employees there were openly rude, rolling their eyes and muttering under their breath about how they thought it was too much power for me to handle and that I wouldn't be able to figure out the kick start. Granted, I am 5'2" and 108 lbs so I can understand their concern, but their attitude was very off-putting. If they had advised me in a courteous and professional manner I certainly would not have minded, but I don't appreciate being treated like I am incompetent by complete strangers, especially when I am looking to do business with them. What is more, their pricing is not competitive. I purchased the exact bike I wanted elsewhere for $800 less and couldn't be happier with it.

Doug has ordered in many things for both my husband and me, and they have come in quickly. He has always been very communicative and I appreciate his candor. In addition, we also use his building for vehicle storage, not only for ourselves, but also for some of our customers. The prices are VERY reasonable, not just for storage, but for parts and accessories too. Doug has always been easy to deal with. Thank you for being a part of our small community.

I always ask for a tracking number for the items I purchase, and I am always promised to have them by the business day following when I place my order. Even though the items are typically scheduled up for shipping the day I place my order, I never get tracking information from Smart Power Sports until the day my order is scheduled to arrive at my house. IMHO, this is terrible customer service since the promise is always made to get information to me vey quickly and it never arrives until it's "too late" for me to be able to make use of it (if I get a tracking number from them at all). What's more irritating is that I get told that items are "in stock", but they ship from a supplier warehouse somewhere else in the country. They never disclose this information, and make it about impossible to estimate a reasonable timeframe for delivery as a result.
