This place was solid overall. I would highly recommend the curry as it had a great flavor and the chicken was very tender. The dumplings and wings were nothing special with the wings having little flavor at all. The food came out quick and hot and the service was good.

Stopped in for lunch. The service was great. The food took a while but the owner (I think) took great care of me, even bringing me a cup of chai (which was delicious) while I was waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's simple and not an overly fancy place but I really enjoyed the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll definitely be back soon.

The food here is amazing! We got the jhol momos, dahi puri, and Momo chat. The jhol momos had more of a tomato flavor than I expected but the flavor grew on me. Overall, all the dishes were very good. Momo's master is a good option for vegetarians as well because most items have a vegetarian option. Also, despite being on Franklin street, it's not difficult to find parking here because there is a lot near the restaurant. The lot gets busy during game days but otherwise it's a safe bet.

I have a soft spot in my heart for this place! I love how the food is always piping hot. The momo's of course are a must order. They come with a tangy green sauce and a milder orange sauce. Last time I ordered the Masala tea which was so spicy, rich, and amazing. Also would recommend the Biryani. A star docked because I saw a baby cockroach :(

All dishes - skip the naan

We got the veggie sizzler momo, chicken Tikka masala, and the garlic naan. Its a casual-style restaurant where you pay first, and you get a number so they could drop off your food to the table you choose (self-serve seating). While they excelled in some dishes, others could improvement: -Veggie Sizzler Momo ($13.99) 5/5 - such a delicious dish with noodles served on a cast-iron pan and four veggie Momo's seasoned with ethnic spices. Noodles included cabbage, asparagus, onions and carrots. - Chicken Tikka Masala ($13.99) 3/5 - A few pieces of cubed pieces of chicken along with a large heaping of rice. The curry tasted a little sweeter than most curries, and dish could have used more chicken for a more satiating meal. - Garlic Naan ($4.99) 2/5 - Naan didn't actually have any garlic, and the bread wasn't authentic oven baked naan. Portion size was very small for $5. Flavor was OK. It was a self-serve restaurant, so minimal service but the cashier was friendly. Id come back again, but only for the Momo's.

Food was so good and was priced decently. Would go back here again if im ever back in town!

Food is fantastic! You get a lot to eat for a great price. Highly recommend if you need good food fast!

Super authentic Nepali restaurant lovated perfectly off of Franklin street in the heart of Chapel Hill. We were craving momos and this is the go to spot if you are in the area. It used to be Himalyan bistro and rebranded now however the food is delicious and service is amazing! The owners and servers are alll super sweet and kind and made for a very enjoyable experience. Their chutneys were delicious and flavorful and definitely satisfied our cravings. They also gave a us gulab jamun ice cream sunday on the house for Valentines Day which only made our experience sweeter and memorable. Kudos to the management for running this place like they do and I hope they stay in business forever!

Chicken momo and Paneer Tikka Masala.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A quaint place that looks like it decided to take over a diner environment (some counter stools still remain).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was incredibly friendly while you order at the counter and take your number to the table with plenty of suggestions. The food came out quickly and was pretty tasty all around. The paneer is a bit firmer than I usually enjoy, and the momo was packed on each other after steaming so all the wrappers were sticking together and ripping apart when separating them. Overall, the sauce for the paneer tikka was flavorful and the sauces that accompany the momo were some of the highlights of the meal.

This place was great! Came here with some colleagues for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is very cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Momo Sizzler. Overall, great dish and generous portion. Next time, I'd probably just order the momos - the noodle sauce was a little tomato-y. The momos however were delicious!!! I got the veggie momos - the filling was reminiscent of a samosa (spiced potato/pea). I also tried the butter naan which was super soft and fresh. Definitely suggest this place if you're visiting campus or in the Chapel Hill area.

We were in town and saw this place had some good reviews and decided to try it out. Ultimately, we really enjoyed our experience! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place smells amazing and the incense is a nice homey touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The booths are private and spacey (for those of you with dining in anxiety) and the little bar seats are cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came in looking confused and were welcomed and directed immediately. Drinks and food came out quick, and everything was super yummy. The only reason reason we wouldn't give it a total 5 is due to the price, we paid ~ $70 and some portions felt small. Specifically the tikki masala could have used more protein and I would have loved more veggies in with my noodles. Still a lovely homey meal, the pan fried chicken dumplings were really good and I enjoyed the sauces! * Also parking sucks, so maybe plan out beforehand!

I went with my friends here and I knew I was in for a good time since I've been once before. I got the chicken tikka masala and it was delicious. Great service and the staff was friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of cool decor and music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend!

Momo's master is a hidden gem in chapel hill. The food is so amazing. I've tried the garlic chicken meatballs, kurkure momos, chili momo paneer, chili momo bison, schezuan lamb momo, chicken momo sizzler, papdi chaat, everything was phenomenal. The service is great, the owner is very sweet! All the servers treated us like family and the food is very fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is perfect for catching up with friends, quick service restaurant with great flavor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I pick up from here regularly and would highly recommend. I will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu!

The website is easy to navigate and place takeout orders. The menu items are described well and are accompanied by beautiful pictures. We appreciated the February coupon code that popped up when viewing the online menu. We also received complimentary gulab jamun which was very generous of them. Everest is located in a shopping center off Maynard and Harrison with ample parking. Our order was ready upon arrival and accurate. We ordered tandoori mixed grill, chicken coconut madras, tadka dal, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and pulao rice.

Beware of the high yelp rating!…read more We were starving and excited to try this place after a couple hour hike at Umstead yesterday. We LOVE northern Indian and Nepalese food and were lured by the high yelp rating. I'll start with the good. The server was kind and efficient. The chili chicken momo were delicious. The rice and garlic naan were average to good as well. However, our butter chicken and our chicken korma tasted like nothing. It was very strange. There was texture and you could kind of taste the chicken itself but the sauces tasted like nothing. You could almost only tell the two apart based on color and texture. We ordered one of them medium spice and one mild. Even the medium spiced dish had zero flavor. I kind of thought to myself that something was off when the colors looked bright but we couldn't taste a thing. I kept thinking maybe the flavor or heat will build. It never did. Nevertheless we ate everything bc we were starving, but we were definitely disappointed in the lack of flavor. Not long after we left, our stomachs were kind of on edge but we figured this was simply from eating too much. This morning we both woke up ILL. Even though we discussed coming back for the chili momo only in the future, we have since changed our tune. I love locally-owned businesses and hate to leave a bad review but we truly did not have a 4+ star experience here. We won't be back.

"Nepalese and Indian food in downtown Raleigh, near Marriott"…read more With a great location, this is VERY close to the Raleigh Convention Center. We arrived on a Thursday night at 6pm with a group of 5. The dining area didn't really accommodate a group that size, but they made it work by moving tables around, which was nice. The place was not very large, but there was maybe only one other family eating inside. The bathroom was clean. I split two dishes with my son-- salmon tikka masala and shrimp (prawn) saag, both coming with rice. We were given some papadum, I think, as a snack as we waited on the food, along with some spicy dips. Food came in maybe 10 minutes or so, which was great timing. However, I have to say, both dishes we tried were underwhelming. The shrimp was oddly translucent and not very flavorful in its dish, and the spinach in the saag wasn't especially tasty (though it did have a nice spiciness). The tikka masala sauce was great, but the salmon also was pretty underwhelming. We both said we'd probably just get chicken next time and not splurge the extra for the salmon. No dish was "bad", but just we expected them to be delicious and they were just OK. I'm just really surprised given how many people said this was the "best Indian" they'd had. The staff were friendly-- refilled drinks well and were good at answering questions. And the price was reasonable. Altogether, I'll give it 4 stars given the great location, good service, good price, but not 5 given the food was "just OK". Realistically, I probably wouldn't go back-- we have lots of great Indian in Durham and Chapel Hill, so I'd rather wait and get that.
