If only certain techs are able to do it, then it should be the salon's responsibility to ask the customer when booking the appointment - since it's such a big issue. I just asked for my nails to be cut short not anything fancy. This isn't my first rodeo getting a mani pedi in my life. And she wasn't even doing my pedicure. She actually ended up painting my toes though and while I didn't request three coats of polish, she took the liberty of doing so and I didn't notice until she got to the second foot when I noticed how thick the polish was. I told her that next time I only want two coats. She replied that next time I need to tell her but how would I think she'd do three coats when she did only two on my hands? I am a little surprised at her retort. I still tipped generously because I appreciate the intention but not likely to come back.
