I was referred to by my friend and went on a Monday afternoon. It's in the same plaza as the Chicken Masion on PCH and Ocean with plenty of parking. If you can't find any, try Ocean. Upon walking in, no one greeted me lol. There was a woman who saw me but she just looked at me and walked away. There were only three other people in the place. Then someone who was working saw me, greeted me, and told the rude lady that she would be working with me. During the manicure we didn't talk. She just signaled where I should put my hands. I wasn't sure about my base nail color, but she picked two out and tested it on my nail and I chose which one to go with. That was nice of her and caught me by surprise; it was the first time occurrence for me. She did the same with the glitter. I don't know how clean her tools were and that's what freaks me out at these places. The utensils didn't seem sanitary, and I didn't appreciate that she lotioned my hands and arms without changing her gloves - So all of the stuff on her gloves from her filing down my nails ended up on my skin. That grossed me out in the moment, but I soon forgot about it as I had other things to do that day. Just laying it out here. Their service is great, I don't feel pressured into conversation (I'm not a social person so when nail ladies keep trying to make conversation and you're just trying to relax, it can be a bit much), I don't feel pressured to get more services and Lan does such a good job. I've gone here a few times and really like how my nails turn out. Gel manicures seem to last longer when I go here. The location is nice with two seating sections and seven chairs and five manicure stations. My only complaint is that they do not push my cuticle back enough. I bring it up every time and they are never pushed back far enough so my cuticles start giving me issues a day or two after my manicure. read more

They couldn't fulfill my booking - despite me having a booking and calling ahead - as they were running late. I waited 20 minutes and when I challenged the wait and asked "can I be done in an hour". I was told that they don't like customers like me. I am going to assume that that means they don't like customers that are on time and have busy lives. ATTENTIVE NAIL TECHS, APPOINTMENTS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Pro Nails Salon was recommended by a friend. I dropped by on a weekday in the afternoon. The interior is well maintained and clean. There are shelves of regular nail polishes and some gel lined against the wall. The place was packed! The owner kindly asked me to return in one hour, which I had agreed to do. Fast forward, one hour later a nail technician was able to assist me with removing my previous dip powder nails. I am glad that she took her time with properly filing the nails down (all without the use of an electric nail file - VERY IMPRESSIVE). I was shown the nail colors for dipping powder, which was limited to around ten colors. I then waited around 25 minutes for the removal nail soak, while watching Grey's Anatomy on my phone. The nail technician then applied a base dip powder, three layers of the color dip and then a gel top coat. Happy to report that the manicure lasted me a good three weeks, with minimal damage on my real nails. (Shoutout to the nail technician who spared my nails from the terrible effects of over-filing.) They offer a stamp card for loyal customers and extra stamps if you pay for the services in cash. Hopefully they will have more dip powder colors in the future. Plenty of parking is available in the shopping plaza. read more

My nail technician was Linda and she was awesome. You could tell how meticulous she was when applying the acrylics, but she was also speedy/efficient. Overall, pretty gentle. She was helpful in helping me find the right color, asking for input from the other technicians who were also very kind. It was $50 for a full set (I did two colors technically since my ring finger is a slightly different color from the rest but I don't think that reflected in the pricing). I was visiting my parents place over the weekend and had some time so I decided to get a mani & pedi. Looked on yelp and found that Pro Nails had good reviews. It's usually a hit or miss when I randomly choose a salon but I'm glad I did! I don't remember who I got a pedi from but I went for a classic pedi for $20. I won't say it was the best pedi I've ever received. I didn't like the way she cut my toenails even though I had told her the shape I wanted. Wasn't perfect but wasn't bad either. On the other hand, I absolutely loved my acrylic gel full set by Lan. First of all, she was so sweet and kind and the best part of it all was that she was so meticulous. She paid attention to every detail and was so understanding when I asked her to change the shape of my nails last minute. I was going back and forth between 2 colors and she politely gave me her opinion, which I appreciated. At the end, I was given a stamp card and was told paying in cash was equivalent to 2 stamps while card would be 1. I had a great time today---especially since I'm super satisfied with my nails. First time here and I am very pleased with how my nails came out! Plus you can't beat the price either! The only reason why I gave a 4 out of 5 is because my nail tech was kind of rude. Granted I did have a late appointment of 5:15 but an appointment nonetheless. When I got there and she started working on my nails she told me that she was supposed be home by now but then I came along..... i get that we all have our days but I just felt like it was rude and unnecessary to say especially since it was my first being there. UPDATE: I just came back for a fill and this message is to the manager now, Lami, about how rude Tiffany is. I came back today (1/20/2020) to get a fill from the the last time i was there. Tiffany was working with two other ladies sitting behind me and I can hear her talking shit in English about a previous customer she had and she described my last experience to the T! She even got our conversation correct, which by the way, I left that part out of my first review. When I went the first time I showed a picture of what I wanted but I work in an office so I can't have my nails super long like in the picture because it would interfere when I type. And so when she asked me how long I wanted them I kept saying "a little shorter.... a little shorter.... ok just a Tinsy bit shorter" and tiffany said abruptly "okay do you want a little or a lot because you keep saying a little even when it's a lot!" Which is the first rude comment she made. She even pointed out to the ladies where I parked the last time! I am thinking "oh hell no! she is straight up talking shit about me!" And I can hear the other old ladies chiming in saying how when people write stuff on "social media" (yelp) they get a "power trip" and "who needs her! You have us! You should warn the other salons about her!" I was sooo furious I was about ready to leave had they not already started on my nails. I flat out said out loud "is she talking about me??" it got quiet and so I said it again "is she talking about me??" I asked the lady who was now working on my nails, Lynn?, I think was her name. I asked her "is that Tiffany Sitting behind me?" And she nodded yes. I was about ready to call her out but I didn't want to make a scene. I asked Lynn multiple times who the manager was and each time she asked me another question to redirect the conversation. Each time I asked she would respond like this.... "do you want your cuticles cut? Do you want to tip in cash or in the card? Do you have one of our stamp cards?" Finally I was able to get a name on the 4th time I asked and she wrote it down on the card. I asked if she was here and they responded "yea that's her name in the card" uhh. So now here I am... writing another review calling out to the manager since NO ONE wanted to give me your name or would let me speak with you about how rude Tiffany is. Yea she's good at what she does sure, But I will NOT be coming back to this rude crap and to Tiffany: now you have some more shit to talk to your other loyal customers about! Not sure if everyone's standards are just so low at this point but this is my 3rd time here and I've left disappointed every time. I specifically asked to match the shape of my existing nail shape when I sat down and they cut them completely different and then too short to get them back to the shape I had requested. The color, despite looking more chalky than I wanted for a light summer nude it is still streaky with bald patches. I suggested she use a different polish to even it out but she didn't agree. I guess I'll keep hunting for a place that actually gives a care or can at least apply the polish evenly. The upside was that it wasn't at all expensive. That being said, don't expect much in the way of a massage or callus removal unless you want to pay extra. read more

I'm not sure of the lady name whom did my pedicure but she did a great job as well. I didn't feel rushed at all. When I've gone to other nail salons including the previous one in Torrance I felt rushed a lot of time. With my pedicure she really took her time and did all the things listed that come with the pamper me pedicure.
