Momo Mochi is fire, it's as simple as that. I didn't even know what a Mochi Donut was before we got here. I was even a little reluctant to order something when I ended up here with with a small group, but I'm glad I did. I'm typically not a sweets person, but really! These donuts are not your regular donuts. The dough is like churro meets funnel cake almost, and the flavors that go into the icings are ridiculous. We ended up getting 6. Matcha, Strawberry, Yuzu, Oreo, Ube, chocolate. They were all delicious! I was to busy eating them to take a good picture. Sorry!

This spot is within "The Block" of Rockville Town Center. The donuts still tasted fresh even though we picked up in the evening time. We had a large variety adn tried the mango, yuzu, coffee, and ube. All were very flavorful. The only thing I was kind of disappointed about was that they served the donuts in a paper bag instead of a box. It caused the donuts to get a little bit messy!

They had a special on the menu - Purchase 5 and get 1 free (each is $3.50). Now even though I have had mochi before, I have never had a mochi donut - I went all in and got this special. Make sure you have nothing else in your hands as the box you receive it in is huge. Here are the ones I liked and would get again: Ube, Mango, Oreo, Cinnamon Sugar, and Strawberry. It tasted like I was eating a chewy donut although I had to watch myself and not eat them all (ended up sharing one or two). I will probably not get the Chocolate again - did not like the taste of the coating. My favorite was the Oreo and the Mango. They were out of Pistachio - I would have loved to try that. I really enjoyed these mochi donuts, however it could get addicting and that is not a good thing in my book.

Definitely added to my list of favorite small dessert shops to eat and hang at! Loving these fresh mochi donuts from MoMo Mochi, which is located inside The Spot food hall near Rockville town center. Each donut is $3.50, or customers can buy five donuts to get a sixth for free! I love that we can mix and match these flavors, and they got some unique ones to choose from and I'm sure glad they don't have a large overwhelming menu to look at haha. Personally, I love the matcha and black sesame ones. Tip: they said they make a fresh batch around 11am to 12pm and another around 5pm to 6pm!

Super soft and chewy mochi donuts - newest addition to The Spot! The donut dough itself isn't flavored but the flavors are in the frosting/glaze and toppings. Tried the ube and the pistachio, and my favorite of the two was pistachio. The ube was more purple colored than ube flavored. These donuts are also on the smaller size for the price but still worth a try!

Got donuts for takeout late at night. The worker was very friendly and patient with us. He even threw in a third one for free! They were very tasty after we air fried them for a few minutes. What a great treat! Would totally recommend!

I really wanted to love momo mochi but was left feeling a bit lukewarm. We ordered one of each flavor to try em out. Buy 5 get 1. The base doughnut is the same for all. The mochi chew was lovely in texture. Love the ba-bounce. The frosting is where the flavor comes in but to me it was entirely too sweet which in turn drowned out the flavor it was suppose to have. Hopefully it's something they can finesse overtime.

This is probably more like a 3.5. I struggled with the number on this one. I went with my daughter and we are new to mochi donuts. We both love mochi though. We went in knowing they were suppose to be chewy in texture. On that part, they do not disappoint. I really liked the texture. Definitely a bit chewier and a bit denser than a normal donut. We tried 3 flavors: Mango, Oreo and Strawberry. We both felt like the Oreo was really sweet but still good. I didn't try the mango, but my daughter thought it had an artificial taste for the mango. The Strawberry, which is a new flavor, was both our favorite. Really good. The counter person was really friendly and served us quickly and was willing to answer questions. We'll probably try it again sometime so we can test out other flavors, but it wasn't amazing, but definitely not bad either. Worth a try if you have never been there before. Each donut is $3.50 and they come boxed.

If you have never had mochi it is the most scrumptious texture ever! It's so chewy and in the form of a donut it is the best thing ever. These donuts are great to share since they come in rings, you can break off small bites although once you start eating them you won't be able to resist not eating the whole thing! Unlike some traditional donuts, the glaze on these donuts are light and not overly sweet. Out of the one I tried, I have to say the black sesame was my favorite !

After seeing hundreds of these mochi donuts bless my Instagram and Tik Tok feeds, I was ecstatic to learn that Rockville had finally jumped on the mochi donut craze!! While I'm sad to see Alpaca Dessert disappear from The Spot, Momo Mochi is a wonderful replacement. Their mochi donuts are perfectly springy and chewy, and they have plenty of fun, unique Asian flavors. The base donut is slightly less sweet than a traditional American donut, but otherwise approximately the same. As for the individual flavors...it varies. The first time I was here, my friends and I ordered the yuzu, matcha, and ube donuts and each tried a bit of each donut. I thought that the yuzu was pretty solid -- it tasted a bit more like lemon than yuzu, but it was definitely a bit tart and the unique yuzu flavor shone through. The matcha was lovely, with a slight hint of bitterness in the background, although I probably would've preferred that the matcha flavor was a bit stronger and the sugar a bit lighter. The ube was my least favorite of the bunch; it was hard to taste the ube and it honestly just tasted like an average glazed donut. Even so, the unique texture of the mochi donut made it a fun experience! I'm not sure that I can really justify paying $3.50 for a single donut frequently, but it's definitely still worth a try! They're also partnering with Gong Cha now, so you can buy mochi donuts with your boba on a few days of the week (I think just Thursday-Sunday). I also catered from Momo Mochi for an event later on (the four boxes in the picture below are the leftovers from the fifteen that we ordered), so I've had the opportunity to sample the majority of their flavors. My ratings (out of 5) for the ones I've tried are as follows: - Matcha (4.5) -- slightly bitter, with a noticeable matcha flavor. I would've preferred for it to be a bit less sweet, but still solid overall! The pocky on top is a cute little touch. - Black sesame (4.7) -- also one of my favorites. It's slightly bitter and nutty, which does a phenomenal job of balancing out the sugary donut. Absolutely love the sesame. - Yuzu (4.2) -- nice, citrusy flavor that's refreshing against the sweet donut. I think it tastes a bit more like lemon than yuzu, and I would've liked it to be a bit more tart, but it's still delightful. The shade of yellow in the icing is also the most adorable pastel. - Ube (3.5) -- this one is overly sweet with a very minimal ube flavor. I can hardly taste the ube, and it tastes just like a normal American donut. - Mango (3.7) -- I also personally find this one overly sweet, but the mango flavor is quite pronounced compared to the ube donut. It's easy to get it confused with the yuzu one, though, if you're buying them together, so make sure you keep track of it! It has a nice citrusy flavor that serves as a great balance against the donut itself. - Cinnamon sugar (4.5) -- you get exactly what you're expecting, and you can really never go wrong with cinnamon sugar. They have a great ratio of cinnamon to sugar in the topping, and it's the perfect way to enjoy a mochi donut without the extra icing.

These mochi donuts come with the cutest look and this stretchy, chewy texture. Tastewise though, not so different than normal donuts but it's definitely on the less-sweet side compared to American donuts. $3.50 each, and now they're having buy 5 get 1 free! The flavors: Plain, Cinnamon sugar, Oreo, Chocolate, Yuzu, Pistachio, Matcha, Ube, Black Sesame. We got one each, except Pistachio. My favorites are ube & black sesame.

I've been wanting to try mocha donuts for so long and was excited to see that momo mocha was opening in Rockville. I went in on a Sunday evening and their flavors where limited, only black sesame, oreo, matcha, and chocolate which was disappointing since I was excited to try the unique flavors they had like yuzu. They do have a buy 5 get one free deal but I wasn't that moved to get 6 donuts based on the flavors they had. I ended getting 2 matcha and one Oreo. The donuts were quite delicious, they had a light airy taste and a chewy texture. They are $3.50 per donut so they are splurge for me but I can see myself coming back here as a treat.

Literally the best doughnuts i have ever tasted in my life. I came back to this place two days in a row. I also followed them in Instagram and they will give you 1 free doughnut. Also if you buy 5 you will get 1 free! Such a deal. It is $3.50 a piece.but its so good!

Do they only have rice flour or do they also have wheat flour? Wondering if donuts are gluten free? Would love to be able to call and ask folks who make them...anyone know a phone number? Thanks!

When I first walked in, the aesthetic of the place was great. It was quite big with a nice corner to relax in and a display of snacks. The staff was also very friendly and respectful while I was looking at the menu. However, the food and drinks are where this becomes a 2 or 3-star experience. The Items I Ordered: * Brown Sugar Cookie Boba Tea: This was bland and had little to no flavor. The milk was overpowering, and it had almost no brown sugar or cookie taste. * Soufflé Pancakes: I was told these were "authentic Japanese Pancakes," but I am heavily disappointed. The presentation was poor: a paper plate with pancakes surrounded by fruits, a dab of ice cream, and a small plastic bowl of cream. The pancakes themselves were bland and very eggy. Unfortunately, they tasted more like an egg pancake than the traditional Japanese style. They were also very dry. If the cream wasn't included, I wouldn't have even eaten them. Having to rely on the cream just for the pancakes to have flavor or moisture is very disappointing. * Chocolate Lava Buns: I bought one of these, and it was just okay. They were fluffy, but the chocolate inside wasn't melted. It was also very bitter and very heavy on the dark chocolate side so it was not a "savory taste" for what I had thought originally. * Cherry Tart: This was the final item I bought, and again, it was only okay. The bun was a bit hard. While the flavor was better than I expected at first, it fell off quite quickly and became unappetizing. Final Verdict: Would I recommend this place? Not necessarily. Unless you are just looking for a corner to study in and bring your own food, I wouldn't suggest it.

It was a waste of $50+ and would not recommend unless you're just purchasing for pictures and not to eat. The mango and strawberry croissants were good with sweet whipped cream. I liked how the cream also tasted like mango in the mango croissant. The sweet pretzel was also good and crunchy. The inside of the store is nice with plenty of tables. I also liked how there were a lot of outlet spaces.
