This place used to be one of our favorites however after a recent visit we are thinking twice about coming back. Our service with a group of 6 was a little slow which is to be expected with a bigger group but the staggering of food felt extremely rushed. We ordered our usual appetizers and shortly after our main dishes arrived. Note: Do not get the Katsu it was disgusting and barely any curry sauce and after having this at numerous places recently I was highly disappointed. I shared the disappointment with our server and he did not have a care in the world which maybe is my fault for ordering but a meal that is literally untouched I would ask the customer if everything was okay at least. We wanted to try a different Asian restaurant and came across this place near Cermak. It was easy to find since it's right on the corner of the block. We ordered the pork belly bao, Dan Dan noodles, and spicy pepper shrimp. The portions were good, and everything was satisfying. The pork belly was juicy and paired well with the bun, and the shrimp was nicely crispy. Nothing particularly stood out, but the food was good overall. First time coming here! We were lucky that we were able to get seated right away without a reservation as the place was BUSTLING on a Tuesday evening. Even the bar counter was busy. The waiter sat us right away and I loved that they took our drink order asap without us flagging them down. While we had our Thai tea it was just super nice that everyone at the restaurant seemed to like working there and the customers were all having fun so it was a chill atmosphere, not anything too formal. I got the Shanghai soup dumplings which were amazing and soupy and didn't break too easily. Then for the entree I got the Szechuan Mala Hot Stone pot and it was delicious. The sauce was not too thick which allowed me to actually taste the veggies and meat. The rice was a little dry but the sauce helped it gain some "oomph" again. The bartender was friendly, food brought out prompt, and we ordered a variety of dishes to try more items! The appetizers were wonderful, I would recommend both the cream cheese rangoons and the shrimp spring rolls! But you come here for the dumplings and entrees. Be sure you make a reservation for this place, cuz it's well worth it. The first time I experienced soup dumplings here, I was blown away. They take a bit to make which makes it so worth the wait. Soup dumplings aren't the only thing that's great on their menu. I really love all of their noodle dishes, especially when they add bok choy to them. Our Saturday night party of 8 went here after a recommendation, and we were blown away at how amazing everything was! Although walk-ins are accepted, I would highly recommend making a reservation. While we were eating, people were bunching up waiting inside and outside. Our party was seated at a long, narrow hightop table right next to the front window. The close proximity to the bar area meant we were seated very close to one another. Once drinks, appetizers and entrees were delivered, the space felt even tighter. Still, we made it work. We began with the Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings which, yes, were dumplings with soup inside. I have zero idea how they can pull this off, but they were absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend them! Just make sure you take that first bite over a plate and not your nice clothes ;) Having never tried Szechuan, I ordered the Szechuan Mala as my entree, which came in a clay pot. The beef was tender, the vegetables crispy and the sauce thick and spicy. Savory at it's finest! Sampling off each other's dishes, I can honestly say everyone enjoyed everything. There was not one dish that disappointed, and by the end of our meal we were all more than satisfied. However, we still had to try the Fried Mantou which was the perfect way to round our meal. Hot and crispy on the outside and hot and fluffy on the inside. Think donut holes but much, much better. Good service, great food and an intimate atmosphere make this a must visit spot! They didn't correct when someone said something wasn't spicy, and didn't grab a crushed beer when the table was crowded and slightly windy outside. We got: steamed chicken dumplings - very full of chicken, basically a meatball, but good steamed veggie dumplings - predominantly napa cabbage flavor japchae with shrimp - shrimp were noticeably less warm than the rest of the dish. Semi-neutral flavor. The noodles were long and a bit chewy, making it difficult to bite and eat. udon stir fry - good choice for not overly adventurous eater and tasty. not too salty singapore noodle -good flavor and spicy level Tom Yum Soup - spicy! a bit tricky to move noodles from the big bowl to a smaller bowl. nice lemongrass flavor. only available as an entree, sadly. For all the times I've been here, I am shocked I've never written a review! My husband and I had some visitors recently and we took them to dinner. It has always been so busy when we've come in the past, so we made reservations ahead of time. We did notice however that there were a few tables open while we were there. We were seated right away and our waitress took great care of us throughout! I got a lychee martini, which was super tasty and I would highly recommend if you like fruity cocktails on the sweeter side! Been here several times and like it every time! Known for its soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), and a bit of Asian fusion, you don't find a second place like momo mee in town. Originally from Shanghai, myself has a high criteria for the soup dumplings, I would say it was definitely not the authentic version but I think it is good and tasty and good enough for me to enjoy some hometown flavors. Although the place was small, the front still has a small bar with tv. Seating is pretty limited. We ordered the pork XLB, Cantonese beef chow fun and the Taiwanese braised pork rice bowl. The three dishes were really good! Highly recommend! The soup dumplings is a must try if you are here! The pork was super fresh and flavor was on point. The beef in the chow fun was super tender. Very well marinated and loving the wok flavor. The Taiwanese rice bowl wasn't as authentic as I would've liked. I wasn't liking the minced meat flavor but the pork chop and daikon was delicious. I was very excited to try MoMo Mee after hearing from a few people who went there. We made a reservation online and I'd highly recommend since it's a busy restaurant and we avoided a long wait. There is a large bar area and lots of tables when you enter. The restaurant is very lively at night. I started with the Lychee martini which was good and not too sweet. Then we ordered the Szechuan Spicy Wontons and Momo Mee Famous Xiao Long Bao. We liked the wontons but did not like the soup dumplings. They were very doughy without much soup inside. The flavors were just ok. Despite our apps being just ok, we liked the entrees a lot! The ramen was flavorful and the Korean spicy noodles were delicious. I added chicken to the Korean noodles and it was great! Overall a little salty and I'm still struggling to find good soup dumplings in Milwaukee. We probably wouldn't get apps again but might come back for noodle entrees. read more

Momo Mee has some great lunch specials beyond their regular priced options. I recently got HOOKED on the shitake ramen with tofu. It was an amazing vegetarian dish that has become a favorite. It's big enough for two lunches as well as most of their food. I have tried many things on the menu including the soup dumplings. Honestly I have not had anything bad ever. When I do take away the food it up in ten to fifteen minutes. Beyond being great food they are quick. It's a small space but is cozy with a bar in the front of the restaurant.
