We did family style which worked out nicely- our favorite main dish was the crispy orange beef but a close second was the Cantonese beef chow fun! I came alone and sat at the two-seat high top in the bar area--the perfect place for someone just wanting to dine alone. I looked at the menu before coming to see if anything sparked my interest, and I would say it was hard to choose one thing. So many dishes stuck out that I wanted to try. For all the times I've been here, I am shocked I've never written a review! My husband and I had some visitors recently and we took them to dinner. It has always been so busy when we've come in the past, so we made reservations ahead of time. We did notice however that there were a few tables open while we were there. We were seated right away and our waitress took great care of us throughout! I got a lychee martini, which was super tasty and I would highly recommend if you like fruity cocktails on the sweeter side! My husband and I got the spicy Korean noodles and the Japanese eggplant to share. The noodles are some of the best I've had! They weren't too spicy, but the flavor was perfect. Been here several times and like it every time! Known for its soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), and a bit of Asian fusion, you don't find a second place like momo mee in town. Originally from Shanghai, myself has a high criteria for the soup dumplings, I would say it was definitely not the authentic version but I think it is good and tasty and good enough for me to enjoy some hometown flavors. I was very excited to try MoMo Mee after hearing from a few people who went there. We made a reservation online and I'd highly recommend since it's a busy restaurant and we avoided a long wait. There is a large bar area and lots of tables when you enter. The restaurant is very lively at night. I started with the Lychee martini which was good and not too sweet. Then we ordered the Szechuan Spicy Wontons and Momo Mee Famous Xiao Long Bao. We liked the wontons but did not like the soup dumplings. They were very doughy without much soup inside. The flavors were just ok. Despite our apps being just ok, we liked the entrees a lot! The ramen was flavorful and the Korean spicy noodles were delicious. I added chicken to the Korean noodles and it was great! Overall a little salty and I'm still struggling to find good soup dumplings in Milwaukee. We probably wouldn't get apps again but might come back for noodle entrees. read more

I have been craving Dim Sum for quite a while and was happy when my friend agreed to have lunch at Momo Mee with me. Although the Lunch menu is only available on Weekdays, we settled on Cheese Momo and Chicken Wings. Both appetizers were perfectly seasoned and satisfying. My friend chose the Cantonese Fried Noodles for her entree and I decided on the Korean Spicy Noodles which the waitress warned could be a little too spicy for some people and offered a milder alternative. I decided to try them as spicy as originally intended. My friend enjoyed the Pan Fried Noodles and I was quite happy with my choice. I did add the Spicy Garlicky Sweet Sauce that came with the Chicken Wings which suited my taste buds well. My friend chose Lemonade and I selected a refreshing glass of Thai Tea. We enjoyed our selections and our time - from the welcoming staff at the front desk to our thoughtful and kind server-everything was as it should be. We were thankful we arrived when we did around 1:00 pm on a Saturday afternoon there was a crowd but we were quickly seated. However, as we were leaving, there was a line out the door. I will have to return soon for the Dim Sum options of Dumplings - Xiao Long Bao, Potstickers, Korean Mandu, Spicy Wontons and Steamed Shao Mai. They have a wonderful selection of Ramen Noodle Bowls as well. It was my first time but it certainly will not be my last. I still need to satisfy my Dim Sum Cravings. She took the time to explain how to eat the Bao Korean beef dumplings which were amazing. We also ordered the Xiao long Bao, Korean spicy noodles with shrimp, Japanese eggplant, crispy orange beef. The apps and entrees were sooo good! The spicy level on all the entrees was perfect! The eggplant was so delicious with the garlic sauce! The menu is pretty extensive with lots of choices and you can add proteins to any dish you want. I was slightly disappointed that my spicy Korean noodles didn't have more shrimp considering the big size of the entree. It was the spiciest of all the dishes we tried but still very delicious. Momo Mee has some great lunch specials beyond their regular priced options. I recently got HOOKED on the shitake ramen with tofu. It was an amazing vegetarian dish that has become a favorite. It's big enough for two lunches as well as most of their food. I have tried many things on the menu including the soup dumplings. Honestly I have not had anything bad ever. When I do take away the food it up in ten to fifteen minutes. Beyond being great food they are quick. It's a small space but is cozy with a bar in the front of the restaurant. Although the place was small, the front still has a small bar with tv. Seating is pretty limited. We ordered the pork XLB, Cantonese beef chow fun and the Taiwanese braised pork rice bowl. The three dishes were really good! Highly recommend! The soup dumplings is a must try if you are here! The pork was super fresh and flavor was on point. The beef in the chow fun was super tender. Very well marinated and loving the wok flavor. The Taiwanese rice bowl wasn't as authentic as I would've liked. I wasn't liking the minced meat flavor but the pork chop and daikon was delicious. Best dumplings in the Milwaukee area. This is one of our family's favorite restaurants. Cute, easy, efficient, the staff are always friendly and helpful if you are looking to try something new. The owners are always around and usually stop by tables to check in. This is how you run a restaurant. The soup dumplings are great, but my favorite dumpling has always been a crispy pan fried potsticker and these are incredible. Our standard order is usually soup dumplings, pot stickers pan fried, spicy wontons, and orange beef, eggplant in garlic sauce, and then either a clay pot or crispy noodles. Okay I finally get the hype! My mom and I came to Momo Mee's for a recent Friday lunch date. We honestly had no idea what to expect, having never been here before, and turned out having a delightful experience. This Pan-Asian restaurant is located in a strip mall of sorts in the Walker's Point area. It would be easy to miss if you weren't looking for it. The store itself is fairly small, yet fits plenty of people. There is a bar area and tall-top seating upon entering, and just beyond that are small tables lining the windows. The place certainly felt bright and clean. We didn't have a reservation (which apparently is something recommended here, even for lunch time), but were lucky to still be seated right away. The place was full! Our server was so sweet, and really helpful when it came to making a decision on menu items. She steered us towards their famous Xiao Long Bao, aka pork dumplings. Those were super yummy! They were delivered in a steaming hot pot, the pork had tons of flavor, and each dumpling was filled with a hot and savory broth. We also were craving noodles so our server recommended the Korean Spicy Noodles. Loved them! They had the perfect amount of spice to them, the portion was massive, and the flavor was on point. There were also plentiful veggies like onions, carrots, broccoli, scallions, and bell peppers. The third thing we enjoyed were the fresh spring rolls! Well really only I enjoyed them, as my mom wasn't a fan of the rice paper, but her loss. I love spring rolls with the vermicelli noodles and fresh veg. So good. I was interested to try this place after seeing some decent reviews and the photos of the food/atmosphere looked nice. I was visiting Milwaukee and had a great visit up until here. Right when I walked, the hostess was chatting with the other servers and did not notice me at first; I was then offered a seat at the bar. Once seated, a younger male server appeared with what looked like to be food on his face from the meal he was eating behind the bar and was unprofessional in his attitude/demeanor, not rude by any means but unprofessional. Unimpressed, I made my order quickly and partook in the Sichuan Spicy Dumplings. The food was good and I was constantly checked on by other staff members. What did annoy me was my server, the hostess, and another server were seated next to me at the bar chatting about what they wanted to eat, when they were going to leave, and what their weekend plans were. These conversations should have been held at a later date or at least not infant of the customer. All the while I noticed there was dirt on the floor as if someone started to sweep but then dropped off. Plenty of employees standing around, eating, and talking the restaurant could have been better kept with all the staff hanging around. After using the restroom, I proceeded to leave only to find my serve now sitting in my spot at the bar eating and saying "have a good day man" with food in his mouth and all over his face. Definitely can use some work in the service side of things, the food is the only thing holding up this review. The dumplings are all AMAZING / DELICIOUS!! Favorite are the soup dumplings and spicy peppercorn wontons. Wow! So good. Only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars is both times we went we had to ask our servers (different person both visits) to refill our drinks and water. It was never noticed by the staff themselves that we needed refills. However, the servers were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the menus items. The Japchae was disappointing because it's basically some oily soy sauce noodle stir-fry... Not Japchae at all. We even doubted if the chef had real Japchae before. The chicken that we chose as protein came in a pretty generous amount but we really hope the restaurant could consider cutting them into smaller strips or slices next time. Reservations are recommended but I have gotten in on an off-hour with no issues. I've been here a few times with my husband and we've tried several menu items. Spring rolls, Korean Mandu, spicy noodles... it's all amazing and full of flavor. So, while I show up for the soup dumplings, I stay for the absolute carnival of flavor that their menu provides.
