I have no idea how the food is because the bartender was so nasty we left and we don't intend to ever go back.

We hosted our son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner there on 12/15/2023. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming to our family and guests. We reserved the second floor of the brewery and it totally covered everything ( decor, ambiance, roominess,etc). The beverage selection was also very nice as well. Several of their beers and the cider were hits with everyone. Special thanks to our bartender, Corrine and Cassie who were helpful and awesome as well. They really made us feel welcome and took care of us!! Even though we had our event catered, we still ordered some food from the downstairs kitchen. This was very good as well. Would definitely recommend them!!! read more

The manager accommodated our large group without a reservation and helped pull together a large table while we sat on the patio. Was in Carlisle doing chores and we felt like a good juicy burger, something we rarely get to enjoy (even more rare to have one with the bun). So since that was the case to treat ourselves and we wanted to try this place, we stopped in. Inside looks modern and inviting. Since the weather was great, we opted for eating out back on their patio, which was clean and had nice coverage for shade. Had a very good waiter. Nice, helpful, and on top of all service activities. Food came immediately. Wow! We both had a simple cheeseburger. I just wanted pickles on mine which I got. My guest just wanted fried onions on his but they wouldn't do that (thought that odd for a beer n burger place). I ordered a side salad too and other person ordered French fries. Salad was good but they only had two types of dressings. Fries were delicious. However, the ketchup we were given was spicy (which not everyone likes or can have, including us). Luckily when asked they were able to give us some regular ketchup. Although the burger looked delicious and had two meat patties on it (which I hadn't expected and it looked like it was too much for me ), it tasted unusual. At first I thought maybe they made a mistake and gave me a Turkey burger or veggie burger, but upon a closer look at it I could see the inside was beef. The only taste we both got from the burgers was lots of salt! I couldn't even eat the bun. But because I was hungry I just ate the meat and pickles, tried some fries and enjoyed my salad (which I should've just ordered a larger one of those to make that my meal. It was the best of all.). We can't comment on the beers as we don't drink, but it is noted for that. Hopefully some mistake was made and this isn't their usual fare. The placed looked a bit busy so someone is liking something there. Just that our expectations were not met. read more

The intentional attitude of " it's our policy" and complete lack of flexibly to simply provide customer service is hard to comprehend. All of the servers are trying , but it is clear they are handcuffed by some of the worst leadership I've ever encountered. Brought a group of managers from all over North America and we were all shocked at the obtuse attitude and management of this establishment. We simply had intended to drink beer outside as a group and have some good simple food on a nice evening. They literally made it impossible to stay. Spent our 1k plus down the street. If you like craft beer, open seating outside on a summer day or a choice of inside the brewery, with a reliable menu, Molly Pitcher Brewing Company is your place. I honestly don't remember the beer I had but they have so many options I was dizzy. Just tell them the type of beer you like and how hoppy and they waiters who are also usually at the bar also can steer you in the right direction. This place also happens to be on the pa beer trail and you collect your little stamp or sticker here. We came here post hike hungry. The Molly tots though extremely tiny portions were surprisingly my favorite! Get them they are worth it. I got the fried chicken sandwich which was good, just a tad salty but nothing like a swig of beer can fix that right? I also got a side salad and they make their own vinaigrettes in house so choose wisely they are all delicious! Our cheese plate was ok. If you like cheese plates and like specialty cheeses this one is pretty basic so lower your expectations. It's reliable and good to share with friends though. Overall great experience and would comeback! It gets filled with college kids from Dickinson during the year so summer is a good choice. read more

My husband and I are in the area and thought we would checkout this place. Upon entering, a high pitch hostess was telling the elderly couple infront of us that seating is first come first serve. That seems fine, but then she added, " I'm not taking names. I go with whoever is standing infront of me." The couple exited the building as there was a line starting to form. Since I was next, she said "As I told the other couple, it's first come first serve and we don't take names." She was very rude and I'm so disappointed this is how they treat guests. read more

As a Dickinson graduate, I always found myself at Molly Pitcher. The people there are incredible and lighten the mood of the restaurant. The menu isn't overly large, they are pretty consistent with what they know and are good at, but I always loved getting the House Salad with Tuna, for whatever reason I loved this salad. read more

Definitely a must when in Carlisle. We have traveled here twice now and each time, we made sure a visit to Molly Pitcher was on the to do list. Their beers here are all pretty fantastic and you can get a flight so you can try them all out. Food is slightly pricey, but definitely worth it if you're going to be here a while. The burger we got on the second visit proved to be the better option, as you get more food for the price. The last time, we got the cheese curds, but the portion was far too small for the two of us to share. It gets crowded on the weekends, so just be warned - you might share a table with others. That isn't the worst thing, but the first we time we went here, our entire table was lorded over by a group, and they cramped us so much that we left. The second time, we smartly seated ourselves at the bar. Definitely will visit again when in town! read more

Ever been to a place and felt like you were a burden to the business? Like the employees didn't really want to be there? That's the feeling my party of 10 had on our last visit to Mollys. They wouldn't allow anyone to stand at the high top tables, citing a fire code. In fact- if you didn't have a seat they wouldn't serve you a beer. Really odd. The food was okay, typical bar food with a lot of sodium for flavor. The beer was good. They had a full house and did last call at 9pm. I recommend one of the other bars up the street for a more friendly and professional service. read more

The beer was really good. I ordered a variety of samples and all were original in their flavors. Good variety. The food on the other hand was not as impressive. I ordered the nachos, which were recommended by the waiter. These could have been done by any local diner. I added a bowl of carrot bisque which was on the specials board. It sounded really good, but really lacked the flavor of carrots that I was hoping for. Not a bad meal, but Carlisle has so many impressive restaurants that this one needs to work harder to stand out. read more

This place is a freaking joke. Second time I've been here that I've been treated rudely by manager/hostess. I showed up at 8:25 on a Saturday night and were told that they couldn't seat us because the kitchen clised at 9?! You would think that they would appreciate the business especially during graduation weekend. They will be missing all the college kids once they go home next week. read more

We were on a quest to find something tasty and fun in Carlisle. MP did not disappoint!!! The beer is excellent. The service ways decent, even though they were busy, and the food was delish. I was super impressed with several of the beers, and I can be pretty critical of beer :) The zero cool lemon drop is really unique. It has an IBU if zero. ZERO. So it is fresh and cool. I would highly recommend at least trying it! And we loved the card game on the table. Super fun and light! This was my first visit to Molly Pitcher in their new location. I'm actually not much of a beer drinker, but it was a warm, lovely day and my friend loves beer . . . so there you have it! We each had a flight, which was six 5-oz. pours for $10! I think that's a pretty great value! Our server happily answered our questions and we made our selections. Typically when I do this, I end up with several I don't care for . . . not this time! I had one I really didn't like, but the others were really tasty, each of which I would order again. We also had the charcuterie board and it was fabulous! All in all, we spent a lovely afternoon enjoying some good, cold beer and some noshes to go with it! Driving back from a long weekend touring breweries in Pittsburgh we happened to stop here for lunch and I am so glad we did. The food was great, with a numbers of exciting veggie options (the bbq jackfruit sandwich was a winner!) and the beer was excellent. My two favorites were the Billy Haze NEIPA, which I came away with a crowler of, and the Black Powder porter, but all of the beers were of a good quality and they had some fun ones like the PB&J porter. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. We have tried multiple times to eat here and every time we have been told there are not any tables available. I am happy they are so popular. My issue is the way it is handled. We have been told 3 times that it will be 30 minutes and to come back later very rudely. Nothing else. I don't understand how there is not a list or somewhere for us to wait. Oh well, we have tried and will definitely not be returning. **In response to the comment below** I am happy to wait in our car until a table is ready. We even had errands to run while waiting, but there is not a system in place if there is a wait. The responses we receive every time are rude and dismissive. Bar-isn't a real bar. I approached the bar because there were two seats. In all of America, bars are open seating. I was rudely approached with a "Can I help you, were you seated?" I said I was just going to sit here at the bar. I was then told, you have to be seated and we aren't serving food right now (Saturday 7:00 pm) because we are too busy and the kitchen is behind. Most people won't realize you need to be seated at a bar. The bartender needs to be kind approach the guest differently. The polite thing to say would be, I'm sorry, our bar requires the host to seat you. Most people think if there is an open seat at the bar, you can sit down. I won't be trying to visit here again with the first impression from the bartender. read more

Arrived at the end of lunch service (around 2:00) to a full house and had to wait for a seat. Not a lot of wait staff so it took quite a while for them to bus tables and take our orders (easily 10 minutes after we sat down). Great selection of beer - mostly IPAs as with most local brew houses but also a number of stouts and porters, a Belgian wheat and a pale stout named Turncoat which I tried and thoroughly enjoyed. Appetizers were tasty (we had fried cheese curds and tots) but very small portions (about 10 small bite-sized pieces each). If you have a group of more than 4 people and plan to share, you will need A LOT of appetizers to satisfy everyone and at avg $7/$8 each that could get costly quickly. All in all I recommend stopping by for a great craft beer experience out but it's not really a place to "eat." read more

Incredibly rude staff! They operate with an attitude that they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. I thought that it might have just been because we had a large group - but nope. This place used to be an easy 4 or 4.5 star brew pub but frankly the food has gone a bit down hill over the last year. They used to have a really delicious beef and cheddar stew in a bread bowl. They used to have a really good poutine appetizer. They used to make a really good juicy delicious bacon cheese burger. Now they have canceled the stew and the poutine but they have replaced them with slightly overcooked tater tot's that harken back to middle school cafeteria lunch. And they have changed that delicious juicy bacon cheese burger to a style they refer to as a "smash burger" which basically means they smash it thin and flat so that it is over cooked and dry and a bit burnt but they slather it with a sort of beer cheese sauce to make up for the lack of juicy deliciousness. Their beer has always been pretty good but it seems to me that lately their beers have been getting more and more heavily hopped and bitter. I guess it is a popular style but not to my taste. Their outdoor beer garden is a very nice space and they are expanding it. So that is good. On the whole I think this place is still reasonably good. It is worth coming to for an evening out with friends but no longer a destination for great food and drink. read more

The beer was good. The atmosphere and decor were top notch. The food, however, was just average. I had the fries with beef, which wasn't bad, and would have been really good had the pasta sauce on it been seasoned a bit. The pickled shrimp was a fancy description for baby cocktail shrimp. The wings were a bit over seasoned and not great. I'll be back for the beer and atmosphere, but I will not go there if I am hungry. read more
