We worked with Molly for our September 2023 wedding at the Prospect Park Boathouse. We loved everything from the initial consultation to the final meetings leading up to the wedding. She has been a florist at many Boathouse weddings so we felt super confident in her organizational skills (especially with the venue's short load in time). She did a great job working with our smaller budget and helping us create an inspiration Pinterest board. I loved that even before we booked her she took the time to hop on a Zoom call and look through my own floral Pinterest board. This was by far the most involved initial consultation with a wedding florist and showed that she was super dedicated to her potential clients. She also helped me narrow down my wedding colors since I was all over the place until the point at which we HAD to choose our table cloth colors. We loved that she sourced local flowers and encouraged us to use lots of color! In our final meeting she was super transparent on the final pricing options and curated a Pinterest board that was very true to how the flowers turned out on the actual wedding day. I was able to share this board with my cake vendor and it was so accurate that the sugar flowers on the cake were the perfect match. On the actual wedding day the flowers were gorgeous and perfectly balanced color-wise. She worked with us to incorporate all the right details, such as learning a sailor's know to hold my bouquet together (my husband & I met on our college sailing team) and made my vision of bridal party flowers that were all slightly different come together better than I could have imagined using a variety of forms of my favorite flower (sunflowers). Molly was an OUTSTANDING florist for my April 2015 wedding in Long Island City, Queens. I am still completely blown away by my flower crown and my bouquet. I wish I could have them cryogenically frozen so I could gaze longingly at them forever. I used Molly Oliver Flowers for my wedding in Brooklyn in July. Molly was a pleasure to work with and made the whole experience so easy. We met with several florists- many of whom put a lot of pressure on us to increase our floral budget and add more arrangements. When we spoke with Molly, she was immediately happy to work with our budget and said she would make the most of what we ordered to use throughout the space. My husband and I didn't know much about flowers and were concerned that we would have trouble picking the right flowers to properly enhance the space. I held it together pretty well on the day of my wedding - except when I saw the flowers. Molly arrived at my apartment to personally deliver her handmade bouquets and boutonnieres, and I was immediately moved by how stunning they were. My eyes filled with tears - every flower was beautifully full and the colors and sizes were perfectly coordinated based on the color palate and inspirations we had discussed. Each bouquet was uniquely sized and arranged with specific pops of color to pick up the dresses. They looked absolutely gorgeous, both in person and in the photographs. When I arrived at our wedding venue, a normally darker, indoor space that wants some color, I became overwhelmed. Molly used flowers and candles to brighten the space beyond my expectations. We hired Molly to do the flowers for our wedding in June 2014, and I am SO GLAD we did! Working with Molly was an absolute dream, from start to finish. Communication was always easy (even though I was planning my NYC wedding from abroad). She responded almost immediately to my first email inquiry. Our first Skype call was amazing--she had all her bases covered, asking every question from what flowers I prefer to exactly how many and what size tables would be in the venue. While we were on the call she began pinning flowers to a Pinterest board just for us which she shared with me so that I could add and delete photos. She communicated with the event planner at our venue almost exclusively, which was massively helpful to a busy bride. I really felt from that first phone call that she just got me. One thing that I had really hoped for were olive branches for our tables--not the easiest thing to make happen in NYC in June, but she found growers in California and completely nailed everything I had hoped for. Molly did the flowers for our wedding in New York in January, and she was terrific. We had a couple of requests that probably made our event a little challenging. First, we wanted a sort of wildflower look, but it was 10 degrees out the day we got married and we did not have "wedding colors". Second, we wanted to use our own collection of antique bottles, all differently shaped and sizes, as flower containers. Molly dealt with it all perfectly.
