Nice cafe for good quality coffee! Was a little hard to find since the entrance is through the Hideaway Cafe hallway. The ambiance and seating were nice. Leads/connects to the Mission Galleria Antique Shoppe so another nice place to walk around after getting your coffee. The baristas were sweet and accommodating. The coffee was strong as it wasn't watered down and wasn't overly sweet as well. Slightly pricey (paid around $7 medium with oat milk) but the quality made up for it. Will be going back! read more

Cute little downtown coffee spot. We came pretty early in the morning so it wasn't too busy. Many of the chairs were not ready for us to sit in yet. If you looking for some real coffee in a fancy pour over that is going to taste like coffee straight from the plantation that a toddler just picked! nice little woman owned coffee spot. good espresso-based drinks. my usual is the oat milk vanilla lavender latte (iced). ambiance can be good depending on what time of day you go (it can get too loud). service is good most times but might be less than perfect when in a rush or after. have been here a few times though and would recommend. only things i don't like are the little seating and the state of the restroom. overall, it's a good place to grab a drink and go walking around the antique shops. although it is close to colleges, i wouldn't say it's a good study spot, but they do offer wireless printing ! new fav: dirty spiced chai latte iced !!! with oat milk of course. so creamy and the spices are spot on. i get the large with two shots of espresso and it is the perfect balance of sweet to spices and coffee. read more

I teetered between 3 and 4 stars here... I love the drinks at this shop. My 4 stars is based off the fact that I've never had a disappointing drink here EVER and because 9/10 times customer service is great too. However, I cringe that it's $1.00 extra for oat milk! I think some of the other alternatives are 80¢ maybe? I'll get into a couple other downsides below, but ultimately they're things out of their control so I stick with the 4 stars. I DO wish they had a bigger lobby, but they do the best they can with the room they have. Just know there's a chance there won't be a spot to sit and relax inside. They do also have a patio, and they're directly across from the entrance to the historical Mission Inn, so it's nice to sit and enjoy the sites and hear the church bells ring every hour BUT, I do have to say.... while sitting out there for a hour and a half with a girlfriend this morning, more vagrants passed by than regular pedestrians. Most mind their business but some ask for money... it's unfortunate because it's not within their control, and I do know downtown has its share of mentally ill vagrants as well so it's just best to be alert while you enjoy your coffee. I recommend their PB mocha (hot) or their iced dirty chai. read more

I'd just finished running the Lexus LaceUp Riverside Reindeer Run and was in MAJOR need of a good cup of tea. I headed to Yelp, and came across Molino's -- just over a mile from where the run was taking place at Fairmount Park. There isn't a whole lot of parking (that I saw), but we were able to get a spot about a block away. Ample seating, with tables for two or four. We'd planned to have only tea, but I noticed they had açaí bowls, too. What a great post-run reward one would be! I ordered one, and my other half had a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. The açaí bowl was a great size -- I think I spent about 20 minutes eating it! (Note: you can add coconut flakes for 65 cents) My other half said the breakfast sandwich was just 'OK.' He had it with ham instead of bacon.. and it LOOKED to me like the ham was cold (although I'm sure it wasn't). With the tea -- I ordered English Breakfast, but I think we got two Earl Grey's instead... the Earl Grey they use there, I think, has a 'creme' flavor to it, so it's not as strong or potent as a regular Earl Grey. (I wish I'd known that.. or rather, I wish I'd gotten the correct tea. I'm kind of particular about certain flavors being added to tea.) Nevertheless, super cute place in downtown Riverside. I loved this drink the peanut butter flavor was very present but not overpowering. I ordered a seasonal drink that had cookie butter. This coffee shop was booming with a constant line of patrons waiting to order beverages, pastries, and a limited number of breakfast items. Molinos was designed to get shit done. There's comfortable seating (and a lot of it!) plus a ton of electrical outlets scattered throughout the cafe. It's the perfect spot for collaborating. We chose a seat by the window and I wouldn't have it any other way! Environment is everything when you're trying to be productive, and Molinos offers natural lighting, a full view of Downtown Riverside, and a delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I decided to order off their seasonal menu, and picked the Frozen Pumpkin Pie with whip cream. This iced coffee was the perfect Fall addition, not too sweet + full of caffeine. Great little Cuban coffee spot. Located within walking distance of the historic Mission Inn. Within a block of several worthwhile lunch and dinner spots and three museums. If you like antiques, there's one right around the corner. I have not been here since the Festival of Lights, but it was a welcomed surprise to see the menu add a few items. Some of the memorable items for me would be the Havana Coconut Latte and the Afogado from this trip. read more

Did someone say Cubano? MOLINO's is an espresso coffee shop serving Cuban specialty drinks since 2013. One must order a Cubano. It's an espresso made with raw sugar. I prefer a ceramic cup. We ordered the Avocado Toast. The barista did it up with red chile flakes and hot sauce on the side. It was delicious, flavorful, and tasty. Between Tobasco and Tapatio, the dashes of Tapatio hit it home. The barista served the Cubano in a paper cup. And oh my gosh, this strong, black coffee was good. The baristas were friendly, pleasant, and sociable. It was busy, yet, our barista took the time to smile and chop it up with us. It's inside an old building with unique decorative facades. The atmosphere was chill, with large tables for studying and working. The smaller tables are cute and present invitations to meaningful conversations. If you're in a rush, this place is not for you. A visit here is an opportunity to sit and enjoy a wonderful experience. I cannot wait to return for another coffee. read more

Just got my coffee right now the girl in the cashier was super nice she was new and needed help from the other girl that was there but she was on her phone the entire time. She made out drinks wrong I couldn't tell her that she got it wrong because she was talking on her cell phone laughing it up so I ended up throwing my coffee away I wasn't going to be waiting forever for her to be done with her conversation. The best part about this place is the big window that allows natural light into the room and allows views of the Mission Inn Hotel. Followed by the service, but the food and lattes are just average, nothing to brag about. One thing that bothered me a lot, was the bathroom. It is worse or close to that of a run down gas station. They should honestly invest in an upgrade. It is gross and old. I do not think that it has had any change since the original building. There were flies buzzing around and did not allow us to eat comfortably, and it was too hot and plain boring in their patio as they do not have any plants or sun umbrellas to make it feel inviting. Honestly there is a better coffee shop just a few blocks down. Most likely we would not go back here even if we stay at the Mission Inn. read more
