I was pleasantly surprised - no impressed with Tacos El Metro. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tacos El Metro is open, spacious with plenty of seating. It has a laid back, casual feel without an ounce of pretentiousness. There's a full bar and a refidgerator with grab and go items (I see you flan). There are also plenty of TVs in case you want to catch a game while enjoying your meal. 1 Star. Service - While it's a casual restaurant, the service is fantastic. Our server made sure we had everything we needed, including ensuring the right game was on TV (yes this matters). He also shared some off the menu items, and was great over all. 1 Star. Food - Tacos El Metro tacos are legit. I ordered a barbacoa taco. The warm, tender barbacoa was served on two thin corn tortillas with generous amounts of freshly diced onions, cilantro, and lime on the side. I dressed my taco with the onion and cilantro, rolled my tortilla, and enjoyoyed what may have been the perfect taco bite: the smokey barbacoa was warm, soft and tender while the onions offered up a sharp crunch. You can order it as a platter (3 tacos + beans & rice). And that flan from the fridge? The caramel bite was cool, soft, creamy, and devoured quickly. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Within my party was a torte and chips with guac/queso/salsa. It all looked fantastic, so yes, I will definitely be back. 1 Star.

Upon entry, a server near our table took all the space he could - I had to say excuse me and he never apologized, yielded, or anything. Tough way to start dinner. - the house marg was mega sweet. Felt like either fake mix or far too much simple syrup - not enough tequila. - when the margaritas were dropped off, a lime fell off and instead of getting me a new one, the server just scooted it all the way across the table, flat side down?! Was I supposed to then pick it up and trust the tables cleanliness - lol - ceviche was mayo based and did not say that in the description. Nothing really tasted fresh or seafood-like. It was overwhelmingly spicy / mayo profiled. - mole was also overly spicy. We're Mexican and can handle spicy - it was unecessarily hot. - our waters were not filled once and the wait staff wore far too much cologne. It was actually distracting! I love local business and spending $100 on an experience like this is quite disappointing. You can see that I rarely leave a review like this, but this has to be said. I'd encourage management to invest in training, more clear menu descriptions and recipes.
