We have our favorite Mexican restaurant (as does everyone), but one night we got adventurous, and decided to try Tacos El Metro on Walnut Hill Lane. Tucked in the corner of a small strip mall, El Metro doesn't look like anything special from the outside. Once inside, SHAZAM! Not your typical Tex-Mex style Mexican restaurant. The staff is super friendly and attentive, the bar serves up a full compliment of cocktails, wines and authentic beers, and the food is out of this world (complete with a whole pig roasting in the kitchen!). We tried the Torta Pastor (the owner's own recipe), and Tacos with Gulf Snapper and Carne Asada. Absolutely wonderful! If your favorite hole-in-the-wall is getting long in the tooth, then treat yourself to Tacos El Metro.
