We stopped here for an anniversary lunch. We started with drinks and the guacamole and chips, then had the guac and crab appetizer. Next we orders the mole beef brisket enchiladas. Wow. Just wow. We finished with flan and ice cream. The food was PERFECT! This was hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had. The service was amazing too. Not too clingy. Always filled our water. Then came the one disappointment- the bathroom. Guys, if you bring your girl here, do not let her use the restroom. It was not up to the level of the food Mole creates. It soured my wife on the experience. They were not clean and refined like the food. If we go back, we will not use their facilities. To the owners, PLEASE invest in a bathroom remodel. It will take you to the next level. read more

I myself had the Steak tacos in which I didn't photograph well, so I decided not to post. I want to thank Jenni for her warm greeting and for making me a hell of a great "Blood Orange Margarita" ( actually I had two ) . Thank you Jesus D for your wonderful table service and taking the time to suggest things from the menu. With that being said, I will be returning to Mole again. So Jenni please have your warm smile and Blood Orange Margaritas ready. Jesus D I might take you up on your suggestion next time. read more

Cool ambiance, food was good, service - ok. I am a mole connoisseur and love trying different regions mole recipes. This mole recipe is from Oaxaca, it had a little kick to it, not too much though, and not too sweet. This mole sauce is five stars. My enchilada had an uncooked bean in it - bummer. All of our dishes we pretty good. Crab guac was really good. The corn bread was crummy - taste was great, it just broke apart easily. Ceviche was fresh. Tacos - steak ok but shrimp was really good. Desert - churros (be aware of molten hat Carmel that will burn your mouth when you bite into them). Service was a little weird. The manager was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. It seemed maybe they were short staffed - not sure. One thing I did not like was that we still had all our dirty appetizer plates on the table and they came out with our entrees - there was no room on the table for them. I noticed they did the same thing with another table. read more

Mole was really delicious . First a beautiful interior- styled in a modern Mexicali boutique style- gorgeous light fixtures rustic dark wood furnishings with marble floors and beautiful bar. I bet it's very romantic and elegant at night. We dined for lunch on excellent ceviche home made warm tortilla chips . The Mole enchiladas were enjoyed and very authentic. Gluten free options are marked which is appreciated. Some very authentic home made recipes going on here . I had street tacos with grilled chicken. Tasty though the chicken was a bit over marinated or over cooked - hard to say- presentation and all the supporting ingredients were top notch and delicious though. Might try them with skirt steak next time! read more

Excellent dinner! I had the prickly pear margarita, corn esquites, and the mixte ceviche. The ceviche was very well balanced and complex, without being too acidic. Very tender and fresh fish. Will be thinking about this meal for a while! So good, highly recommend read more

This was a pleasant surprise. We spent the morning shopping on the Paseo and finding a place for lunch was important I noticed the sign while walking and we later drove back to try the restaurant. It had been crowed when I walked by but was empty except for on other couple. Parking is free and is behind the building and they have a back door up a ramp. Street parking also available. To start they make their own chips which are crisp and lightly salted. We took time to go over the menu because this is not your typical Mexican restaurant. We each tried a different item. My wife enjoyed a ceviche and my mother in law a layered appetizer the shrimp tostada. I had the mole figuring that if mole was in their name it would be very good This was one of the best chicken mole enchiladas have had . The enchiladas is served with a choice or rice and beans or a Napa cabbage slaw. I selected the slaw which had a very low get dressing. Service was good. Cost was a little over 20 a person. Appetizers are large enough to share or for a meal.for one. This restaurant has been open just under a year and is a place I would hope to go back to. read more

Our dining experience, to celebrate our wedding anniversary, was made more special by the excellence of our server Joseph. We have dietary restrictions and he was so thoughtful and careful to explain what the ingredients were in each dish we considered. In other restaurants we ask the same questions and the server says "I'm not sure. let me ask the chef". Then we wait. With Joseph he the menu backward and forward, and there was no delay because he had to go track down an answer. Thank Joseph. you made our special day extra special! read more

The food was perfect and the service was excellent! I was very impressed with everything I ordered and the ambiance and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant! It reminds me of my mother's cooking along with food I've had in Mexico. Perfect!! You must try it! read more

Service poor. After 15 minutes and no waiters stopped by table, so we had to go ask. Then the food came out a different times. The bill already added 20% tip because we were a "large" party of 6. Waiter then overcharged our credit cards, we had to have him reverse charges and start over. Would not recommend read more

Many things wrong with this restaurant. 1. For a restaurant called mole, their mole was extremely subpar. 2. They charge for water and they don't offer tap water. This is ridiculous. 3. They wouldn't evenly split a check three ways. We weren't even asking to separate specific items. 4. Auto 20% gratuity for average service. Compete waste of money. Would not recommend. Many other tasty restaurants to spend your money at. read more

Fantastic food in a really cool setting. Best shrimp enchiladas I've ever had. A couple of weird things with the service but I think I'll address that with them directly. Server was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the food. Loved it. read more

Food was delicious and the drinks were good. The ambiance is very nice and I would recommend...just be aware of the service as noted below. We ordered: Crab Guac - delish. Cornbread- was good but seems like it was sitting for a while. Salsa was just ok, no real flavor. Tacos (Fish and Steak) were good. The sauce had some good heat. Salmon enchiladas were good and the boracho chicken was tasty. The issue we had was the service. They did not have a good flow. 2 servers and they were also the bartenders. We had one drink opportunity at our table because our server was not existent. The bussing of the table was also non existent. We arrived in the Happy Hour time and when the server came to take our drink order we asked him about HH, he asked us the time and then said yeah I can get you one in. We were there at 6:10. We litterally only had one beverage the entire time there. Would of had more, but service was slow and no opportunity to order more. If they can improve their flow and level of service, this would be a 5 star restaurant! read more

Unbelievable quality and super fair price. This is absolutely worth your time. Get the bone marrow appetizer!!!

I went to Palm Springs twice this past month for work, then family leisure, and ate TWICE at this restaurant because it was that good! We made reservations the first time we went, walked in the second time and they were very accommodating. Service is super friendly and their margaritas were a hit, especially in the warm desert heat. Decor feels upscale and tasteful but we were in t shirts and sneakers after a tennis session, seems like it might be more dressy at night. Highly recommend their chips and guac (my husband raves about it!), mole enchiladas and skirt steak tacos! read more

I wanted to like this place because vibe was good, but frozen fish in thick gelatinous liquid is not ceviche. And then being told by staff when we raised concern that "it's supposed to be frozen" put us off. Also the service model was such that the server took your order then someone else brought it out, and no one ever came to check on you. We realized this because we also had to send back a margarita that we had ordered with tajin but came out with salt-- after sitting with our drinks for 10 minutes and having to flag down a food runner. Wouldn't go there again. Though the braised beef enchiladas were really good! read more

Outstanding experience from beginning to end. We were greeted warmly, and our table was ready at our reservation time. The service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. We started with the guacamole and chips, which were surprisingly good. The guacamole, prepared with pomegranates, was delicious, and we couldn't get enough of the freshly prepared chips. The Mole Enchiladas were amazing! Others in our party enjoyed the Pollo Barracho, and the sides of cole slaw and potatoes. My only quibble was that there were only two menu items with mole: the enchiladas and a lamb shank. I would love to see more mole options. The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambience, simple but warm and comfortable. Highly recommended. read more

So my wife took me here for my birthday feast. We were seated. And our waiter took our order for drinks. We tried their Caddillac margarita and a blood orange drop martini..(both OUTSTANDING). We next ordered the (guacamole flight) and the (salsa flight) 3 separate offerings of guacamole and salsa..all outstanding. Even the chips they offered were amazing. Fresh tortilla, plantain and banana chips..plus fresh tortillas. We next ordered two of their main dishes...Me the chicken mole enchiladas my wife the steak tampaniquia (spelling) placed over potato brava. (both outstanding). Food excellent..Service excellent(even though a little short staffed they did an amazing job).. Needless to say we will be back with friends. This is to be shared... BRAVA MOLE read more

Is it appropriate for a server to have EarPods in his ears while serving? This is what bothered me the most, so I'm mentioning it first above all else. He seemed like he wasn't 100 percent present or didn't want to be there. In addition, he took a very long time to take our order. What brought me in was local news advertising this restaurant for Hispanic Heritage Month. I made reservations on opentable which also advertised its Hispanic Heritage Month Specials. When we got there, the Host did not know anything about it. The only thing exceptional there was the food and drinks. read more

Restaurant Review: I recently dined at Mole, a high-end gourmet restaurant that offers an elegant atmosphere and impeccable service -- with a price tag to match. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the tone: warm lighting, tasteful modern decor, and a quiet sophistication that makes you feel like you're in for something special. The staff were truly outstanding -- attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. As for the food, it was well-prepared and beautifully presented. Each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail, though I'd say the flavors leaned more toward refined than memorable. The portions were very much in line with fine-dining expectations -- small, precise, and artistic -- but if you're coming in truly hungry, you may leave with room still left to spare. While the ingredients were clearly high quality and the techniques solid, I wouldn't call the meal life-changing. It's the kind of place you go for the full experience: polished service, a stylish setting, and a taste of luxury -- even if the cuisine itself doesn't completely steal the spotlight. If you're celebrating something special and appreciate great service and a chic vibe, Mole is worth the splurge. Just don't come expecting the best meal of your life -- come for the moment, the mood, and the fine details that make dining out feel like an occasion. read more

Amazing food! Artfully prepared and well presented. The snapper is not to be missed! The mole enchiladas were also great. Although the cornbread was great, it is very sweet more like a dessert. The modern ambiance was beautiful. Reservations are a must here. The staffing is short, so service was slower. Everyone was hard working but they needed more wait staff. That is the reason for a four instead of 5 star rating. read more

Our experience here was over the top. What a great place!! Our waiter,Robert, was outstanding! He was attentive but not pushy, he gave honest opinions and was genuinely nice. We had the ceviche(delicious) and the pork soup(out of this world- so very different ) We will definitely come back here again and again! Also the drinks were amazing and the location is great! read more

We went to Mole last night to celebrate a friends Birthday and we were greeted by our server Matt who was very friendly and efficient. He was very attentive to all 11 of us, which is not an easy thing to do being a big party and so was the rest of the staff. The chips and salsa is always the best here! I ordered the Snapper and it was delicious! We have been here several times and can't wait to go back! Ask for Matt to be your server he will take great care of you. read more

A friend recommended this restaurant, and I am a mole fan (it's hard to find good mole in the US) so we have gone twice. The food is outstanding! My chicken enchiladas mole were amazing, as were the appetizers - fried Avacados with an amazing dipping sauce and a crab Guacamole combination that was out of this world! The service was also top notch. Note - I believe the "pop up restaurant reviews at the tennis tournament" do this restaurant a disservice! This is a 5 star place all the way! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We will certainly go back. Note 2 - This is fine dining, so it can be pricey. Not typical quick California Mexican food. But, WORTH IT! read more

Started off with the shrimp cerviche in a spicy tomato sauce which was not very good. The tomato sauce basically tasted like shrimp cocktail sauce. The chips it came with were very good, however. Terrible dinner. Something has changed since my last visit. Not on my list anymore. Terrible ceviche and no tequila in margarita...

We visited the BMP paribas tennis tournament this past week in Indian Wells, we stopped by Mole for lunch, first we were welcomed immediately by a very friendly staff, while walking through the restaurant it was very nice, we ordered some appetizers the shrimp ceviche and crab guacamole, Amazing! Order some alcohol beverages that's hit the spot while we waited for our meal, we ordered enchiladas de Mole that were really tasty and the wife ordered shrimp enchiladas that were delicious, we are going to try the restaurant on El paseo next , so if you're looking for a place with great food and a friendly staff this place is a must read more

I was so excited to try Mole and it exceeded expectations! The aesthetic was on par with the amazing food. It was honestly a struggle for my husband and I to decide what to get because so many items sound soo delicious! Great food authentic mole sauce. We loved the place and our server was great. We had a great table.

We started off with the chips, salsa, guacamole, and equites. The appetizers were all great. I had the piña margaritas and had no complaints there! For my main I had the Mexican succotash. I thought the portions were very reasonable and filling. The service was extremely slow however. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Get the churros for dessert! read more

I've been dying to try this place since it opened and we finally got to so last night. We sat outside, the weather was nice, the inside was really nice too. No TVs which I liked but my husband wanted the laker game, so not a place to watch games. The chips OMG! They are basically lightly fried tostadas. The guacamole was amazing and I'm not a big guacamole person, it was better then stuff I've had in Mexico. The white fish ceviche was also amazing, great alternative for someone who's allergic to shrimp. The avocado fries were good, lightly fried but I woulda preferred them to be sliced thinner, they were more like avocado wedges. The chicharron was really good, loved the maple crust it had. We also loved that it was more tapa style, we actually didn't even need to order an entree we were so full (I blame the chips). Definitely recommend, so happy to have a "tapas" type place on Paseo. read more

Way too expensive, although food was delicious. Sat at a booth with a not so tasteful view of back kitchen area. Had a Cadillac Margarita, which had a very odd taste to it. Told bartender that it tasted like Galliano was in it....he did bring me an extra shot of Grand Marnier and that helped...so I decided to have a second one...same odd flavor...$40 for two mediocre Cadillac Margaritas...Not good, and will not be going back. Plenty of other Mexican Restaurants around that know how to make Margaritas and not charge those prices. El Paseo dining not worth it. read more

I love ceviche and have had it many times, at home and in restaurants, in different countries around the world. It's simple and it's not hard to get it right. I didn't love the ceviche mixto at Mole though. Remarkably tasteless. The restaurant has great ambience and good service, good guacamole too but can't recommend their ceviche. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Service was good, food was good. The restaurant was clean and very quiet. I had chicken fideo and calbecitas, which seemed to be blended and not like what I was Expecting, which was pieces of the vegetable. It was good, but I probably would not order this again. Wife had the mole chicken enchiladas. The tortillas were thicken than normal, but the meal was filling. Now, the Churros were fantastic and would get these again. read more

A little overpriced for mexican food (had to pay for salsa) but it was good. Beautiful restaurant.
