I just used Mold Solutions today and let me tell you that these are the people (Valina Wisener/main contact & Jenny?) to call if you have mold or water damage. I recently bought a house that was remodelled. Need I say more. I had gotten estimates from four mold/mildew water damage remediation companies. Here is my review in the form of points as we all know how precious time is: Pros: - Excellent problem solving skills - Evidence of what, why to back up their claims for the work tbd! - Experienced. Valina knows her stuff. - On time - Able to work with an absolutely clueless customer - Excellent communication - Addressed each of my issues. We have quite a few problems from a very wonky remodel! - Very responsive. Another company promised me drywall contacts on two seperate occasions but did not provide them so left me in the lurch. I'm glad I decided to drop Advanta Clean as they are flakey and slow/unresponsive! Who knows how well the job would have been done by the assistants. Valina from Mold Solutions does the job herself! - Courteous and very respectful! Critical Pros: - Identified the root cause of the problem - Identified and verified the severity of the problem (climbed in the attic, moved the insulation, took clear photos for the customer/me to understand) - Worked with me when I had mentioned that the perceived water damage was actually a room remodel where they had extended the bathroom. Nobody would know this unless they had noticed the paint cover up, thought it was water damage, let the client know, which lead me to tell them that it was just a wall that was moved further back. This reduced the price of the remodel as it saved us doing unnecessary work. The other company had not mentioned this water damage, consequentially had quoted me for a job (ceiling removal) that did not needed tbd! They (All New Again Remediation department) lost the contract! - Patiently answered each of my questions via email, my preferred mode of communication - Solved problem number two in my half bath. Got to the root cause of the problem and recommended whom I may call to fix it. - Treated my home with respect. A clean home is a nice home. - Cleaned up after the job was done. - Identified a badly done bathroom fan vent to the roof! This was a critical find. Also showed and explained to me the remaining conditions of the roof in the area of the problem! Bottom line: - Understood the customer - Got to the root cause of the problem - Worked through the complications - Implemented the solution to my satisfaction - Verified the results with me! - Very thorough! Identified other problems during the initial inspection and raised them with me for me to fix with the handyman and electrician! Cons: - Slightly pricier by a small amount. That said, you get what you pay for! In short .. they are professional and do the job right! Which means I don't waste more money or my precious time! read more

Hi All, We are not typically yelp reviewers, but Jonathan and Mold Solutions inspired us to write a glowing review. We are new home owners, new to Seattle, and people who know very little about the day-to-day upkeep of a home. Judge us if you want, but Johnathan didn't. He came over a few months ago (June 2020) and removed mold from a closet in our basement. His work was thorough and tidy. He spent time explaining issues and sharing his knowledge in a way that never spoke down to us, but really educated us on issues in the house. He went above and beyond by fixing the source of the mold without charging us (it was a small issue), but nevertheless this was time spent off-the-clock making sure that we were taken care of. When we called him a few days later with a question he drove back out to the house to make sure that his work was up to his high standards. It was and he was so patient with us. Finally you might be asking why it took us three months to write this review. Well, we wanted to make sure the mold was really gone before we fully sang his praises. Jonathan was thorough, professional, and friendly. We had three indoor air samples taken as well as the one required outdoor sample (for comparison). It took a little longer than I expected (about an hour), but that was because I had questions and Jonathan took the time to check everything in what seemed pretty detailed manner. The air samples are sent to a separate lab for testing, but our experience was that we had verbal results via phone call and written report via email in under a week. In our case the results were good, but we got some pointers on how to minimize the impact of a small mold issue in our basement crawl space. I also never would have thought to clean regularly INSIDE the toilet tank, but he showed me there was some mold growing inside that as well. Overall a good experience. read more

My family has suffered from allergies and asthma for years and we felt our house may be part of the problem. With the services of IAQ Consultants of Seattle we discovered that we had mold behind much of the sheetrock in the finished basement of our house. It was due to water penetration through the perimeter walls. Valina initially performed indoor air quality testing and discovered the mold and then before we removed the sheetrock she tested it to make sure it didn't have asbestos. Long story short we had some rain water get into our basement a few months ago (I suspect under the door). We immediately dried it up and ran an industrial fan for a few days to help dry the room. Just the other day I finally got around to replacing the baseboards that had water marks and noticed a small area of mold in the drywall behind them. I called Mold Solutions and Valina suggested a Zoom call to show her the area in question. She looked at it and determined that it was not significant enough to warrant her services. Amanda was amazing. She was the 3rd mold remediation company to come look at my situation, and after doing exactly what the others had done (readings for moisture, close scrutiny for visible mold), she explained why we didn't need to hire her company. Instead, she told me what I can do myself to clean the area, and that she thought the area simply might require routine maintenance with Mold Armor, plus running a dehumidifier all the time.
