I called around and the prices are comparable with everyone else, but Bobbie and Francisco's team made me feel comfortable with the process. Each person on Francisco's team smiled introduced themselves. Which is different, but gave me a sense that everyone was personally invested in the job. They got started when they said they would. Excellent service from start to finish! I needed to remove the popcorn ceiling from my condo. I got one company to come out to take a look for an estimate, but I never heard back. I emailed SAE, and Bobbie responded right away. All I needed was to tell her my square footage to get a quote; they didn't need to come out and see the property because they would re-measure on site. They took care of all the permits and were able to come out in a couple weeks. The crew came and said it would probably take a couple days and they had to cover all the vents and turn the furnace off. However, with temperatures going in the low 20s that evening, I was extremely concerned that my pipes would freeze without heat, so the team worked overtime to get to a point where we could turn the heat back on that night! Bobbie was great about keeping me updated and forwarding my paranoid instructions to the crew about opening doors to let the heat into the garage and dripping some faucets to keep the water flowing;). When I got back in, the place was super clean. There were definitely some nicks in the ceiling drywall, but it was painted popcorn, so they probably had to scrape a decent amount to get it off. The one bad thing was that one of my recessed lighting fixtures was ripped out, leaving only a couple bare wires, and I had to hire an electrician to come fix it. But otherwise, I'm really happy with the level of service and would recommend them for anyone who needs to remove popcorn. read more

I called to ask about removal of an asbestos popcorn ceiling. I spoke with Bonnie. She was knowledgeable, friendly, organized, and very responsive to my many questions. Unfortunately we are on a tight timeline and they are not available soon enough for us to use them. I do think this speaks to their quality of service. Bobbie and the crew were very nice but I wasn't told that they would remove all the interior doors, ceiling lights, shelves, and the hot water heater but not replace them. When I tried put things back in place some of the hardware was missing and the hw tank supply line was kinked so had to go to Lowes. read more

The service guys came and removed the curtain rods and wire shelfes from all rooms before doing asbestos work. They never told me that they will not be fixing these again after removal. I had constant phone conversations with their boss who kept telling me that she will call me back and provide when the person can come to fix it. but that call never came. I called her atleast 5 times. That is really bad service. stay away is my suggestion read more

Caution: Nice people, they got the job done, but in a highly disorganized manner. The night prior to starting the job, I got an email from Bobby stating that something came up (??) and that they wouldn't be able to start the job until 2 days later. This was a huge inconvenience to us since we were already getting ready to check into the hotel we'd booked, we removed everything from the house, etc. Finally, they agreed to start the job "only" one day later than the agreed date instead of two. As preparation for removing the popcorn ceiling, they removed all light fixtures and shelves in the house. When the job was completed we found out that the screws for ALL the light fixtures they removed are missing. The explanation we received is that they put them in their pockets and forgot about them (?). We never got them back, and my emails following up on this matter were ignored. So we are now trying to figure out exactly the type of screws needed for reinstalling each of our light fixtures and shelves, and of course, incur into the expense of buying them, because at this point, I assume I'm not gonna get them back. We were still charged full price despite of all these errors and inconveniences caused.. read more

Bobbie is awesome and great to work with - she's sweet, personable, energetic, and says it how it is. She's quick to respond to texts and emails, and picks up almost every call - and I called a lot. The supervisor, Juan, is also honest and pleasant to work with. In terms of their work, the vermiculite in our attic was more than we both had anticipated, and she did the extra space for free. The only bits of vermiculite we can find are the ones stuck in between the joists/trusses that are impossible to reach without taking parts of our roof apart. They removed all our lath and plaster (and most of the nails for the lath) in our common areas for much less than I got quoted from other companies. Even with them starting a day later than scheduled and going about a week over, it was still worth it to go with them based on our overall experience. I can't say enough how awesome it is to work with Bobbie. I highly recommend them! read more

We reached out to 3 companies and got responses from 2 of them. Both seemed reasonable and Seattle Asbestos Environmental had slightly longer wait time (a couple weeks) but better pricing. Bobbie was generally pretty fast with replies to my questions. We had a hallway, a living room, and a dining room with popcorn ceilings. We tested a chunk when we moved in and it had asbestos. About 400 square feet of ceiling in total. The crew arrived around 8:30, and I stuck around until about 9 as they were getting started and I was answering questions. I left and didn't get back to the house until after 6pm at which point they were gone. The house was in excellent shape, extremely clean, and looked like nobody had been there. We examined all of the ceilings closely and found zero remaining popcorn material. We had expected there would be lots of sanding required, but the ceilings themselves were very clean and had natural drywall bumps that we were able to paint on directly. Overall good experience and I have recommended the S.A.E. team to a couple contacts already. read more

We had a small window to schedule the ceiling project and Bobbie made it happen right on time so we were able to move in. Bobbie also helped to get connected with Emar (the ceiling finisher) and Freddie (his painter). Both did an excellent job with their crews (fast and good quality). Instead of wasting 5 days getting quotes from other contractors I should have just said yes to Bobbie immediately. Info from others just made the job seem more complicated and difficult. These guys came and did the job w/o any hassle. When finished the Job Supervisor texted me and left the key in the agreed hiding spot. The surface of the 45 year old drywall ceiling looked like it had been taped and coated a week ago. A few places of torn paper were easily patched with drywall compound and a little bit of skim coating and I was ready to paint! Great job done on schedule with no hassles AND price was the best also. I'm sure there are others out there that could do the same but they are not as easy to get ahold of and get scheduled. Bobbie answers the phone and all your questions and the crew gets it done. Seattle Asbestos Environmental was WONDERFUL to work with! Every single team member that we encountered either on the phone or in person was incredibly professional, friendly, and went above and beyond every step of the way. My husband and I had been getting quotes from tons of companies to get our popcorn ceilings removed and were just having trouble deciding who to work with. It is a big expense no matter who you choose, but Seattle Asbestos Environmental had a VERY competitive price and their customer service was far past any other company that provided a quote. Bobbie was wonderful over the phone - friendly, answered all of our questions and put a true effort into making us feel comfortable, confident, and booking everything based on our desired timeline. The finished product was exactly how we expected based on our phone conversations - the best! The house looks completely different with the popcorn ceilings removed and the team was fantastic. They did a final walk through with me and Cody, Francisco and the rest of the crew were there to make sure I was happy with everything before they left. They even measured the ceiling for me to give me an exact quote which ended up saving us a couple bucks, which was really awesome, and went into detail explaining how I can place all of the fixtures back easily and correctly (The one star review is a shame because they make it very very clear that they don't rehang curtain rods and place fixtures back in the ceiling because of the liability). Also, after they finished everything and were completely done with the job, they even helped me find a contractor to re-texture the ceiling, Emar, and that person recommended a contractor to help paint the ceilings, Tomas. Basically, our interaction with SAE created a trickle down effect of working with some amazing people and we just couldn't be happier. The work completed was amazing from a great crew. However, the bid process and communication might leave you hanging. I had to call several times to get on the schedule and it was hard to reach Bobbie on the phone. When the project scope was reduced they didn't adjust the proposal as promised. The final issue was the promise to provide a proposal after work was scheduled. They never provided the proposal so we had to cancel at the last minute for fear of writing a blank check. I hate to leave this review as the workers are really amazing, but they left our family hanging on our remodel as we continue to live out of our suit cases due the delay they caused. read more

After a lot of shopping around for asbestos companies I picked these guys for their pricing, process and customer service. They did a fantastic job removing (safely) the asbestos siding from my house while being careful not to damage the wood siding underneath. Their pricing also including permitting and proper disposal of the material so I didn't have to worry about a thing.
