If you scroll through my recent reviews, you'll see a trail of updates as we work through a situation while trying to sell our house. The buyers raised a concern about a water stain on the garage ceiling. After notifying the appropriate parties (Travelers and American Home Shield), we had both PuroClean and Advanced Home Services come out. Thankfully, both confirmed there were no active leaks, and we were good to move forward with drywall repairs. Even after involving both sets of realtors, the buyers started to get cold feet, expressing concerns about potential mold. This is despite their home inspection confirming there was no mold on the report (something we found out from our realtor). I searched "mold inspection" here on Yelp and found this company. I called to ask about pricing and availability and was pleasantly surprised. Despite some unfortunate setbacks, scheduling became an issue; however, that was able to resolved. To start, I usually never write reviews and have only done so a couple times in my life however the service I received from this company, especially Oliver was so far above any standard I ever expected that I had to. The owner was rude and didn't listen. I told him the air needed to be tested and you can smell the mold coming out of the furnace. He said if he came out he would remove a base board that I might not need air testing. Okay there are mold spores in the furnace and duct work and you can smell it. What part of air testing doesn't he understand? I told him HOW it got in to the furnace because a floor was left wet for a week. When the floor was lifted it took 5 days to dry it and there were billions of mold spores the smell was noxious. It's not how did it get in the furnace it's how didn't it? The other people who left the negative reviews, read what he did, sound just like the person I talked to on the phone. I was referred to Mold Eliminators from another agent at my brokerage. My clients closed on a home a month ago and it was discovered during a renovation project that there was mold in the bathroom. Not only did mold eliminators come out on a Saturday (by the way not during their business hours) but they were able to put peace of mind to my buyer that the mold could be remediated and removed correctly. Our back room flooded and I called Craig. He came right over, Sucked up all the water, pulled up the carpets and brought in big fans to dry everything out. Confidence in this company is completely lost. Craig came out in June and did an inspection and said he did not feel like there was a mold issue..he did not use any equipment, he did not do any type of testing, he just looked at my shower and said he did not feel there was an issue. After several rounds with the property manager, a tile repairman was sent from a different company who started to remove tiles and said he had to stop because there is DEFINITELY evidence of mold. He called his company who again contacted this company. Craig called me again to set an appointment but was confused because he could not find any photo's or write up from the last time he was here??? Really? He came out again and just used his eyes no equipment of any kind and clearly said there was mold and the seats in showers were notorious for mold. He said the shower needed to be sealed off and completely removed and once they clean everything up they would be able to see if there was anymore mold anywhere on the wall going into the closet. After waiting a few days and not hearing anything I called the maintenance company that referred this company and they said the report they got was that there was not any mold and everything was ok??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? He said one thing to my face and then told the other company there was no mold???? I talked to the property management company and they shared my concerns of Craig telling me one thing at my property and then uploading something completely different. They were also concerned that no equipment to check or detect mold was used, only a quick glance, a picture and then he was gone. I couldn't find the source of a smell in my kitchen but I knew something was wrong . Oliver came over and discovered my dishwasher was leaking towards the back and soaking the cabinets & outer wall of my kitchen with every wash . It was forming Mold which was causing the smell . He sat there as I cried , and talked me through the process and ensured me it will be ok and can be fixed with them start to finish. I called Mold Eliminators and Oliver came to asses the amount of water damage and mold I had behind a cabinet. Where most contractors told me I needed anywhere from 2k - 4K worth of work, Oliver was the first person to honestly assess the damage and inform me that these estimates were wildly wrong for the true scope of work. Not one contractor bothered to look into the wall and really examine the mold. Most barely glanced at the problem before sending me a huge price tag for the estimate.
