One side is Tea and Boba

The Korean Hot Dog was everything I thought it would be. They are made to order, so be patient. It was hot and crispy and chewy. I used some of the spicy sauce and they also have siracha. The Tea was very good and like most places you can get it less sweet! I got the little jelly pieces this time, not boba... everyone was very friendly and the store is very clean.

I've heard about these Korean corn dogs for years but obviously it's Syracuse and they're a delicacy so they were not available. Well now they finally are with the opening of this place downtown. Wow are these amazing!!!! I got the hot Cheetos half and half, which means have hot dog and half cheese inside. This was one of the best things I've ever had. They are made to order so it did take awhile and they'll need to figure out how to expedite that process as they are going to be busy. They also offer bubble tea and Japanese donuts. I def want to try both, but I figured one thing at a time. They do offer online ordering that is preferable for efficiency. I have a feeling this spot is going to be a hit.

Syracuse finally has a spot that sells Korean hot dogs, Mochi donuts, & boba. It's in Armory Square around the corner from Pastabilities. The location is a bit small so be prepared to be cramped in there if it's busy. Their flavors for their mochi donuts are limited. I believe they only have 6 flavors (churro, blueberry, chocolate, funnel cake, fruity pebbles, & strawberry). It's definitely a place to try if you're wanting to try something different.

1 Hot Cheeto Corndog. (Excuse the Halloween lighting)

Ordered a pickup through DoorDash. Walked in and the place was very cool, and very clean. Person behind the counter made me confirm my pickup very respectfully. Ordered 2 hot Cheeto corn dog (all cheese) 1 regular corn dog (half and half) and 1 potato corn dog (half and half) The corndogs just didn't hit the same as the corndogs served at the state fair. Granted I did take a while to pick up the order but I feel like the cheese wasn't melted all the way, and the breading was very chewy. I would be willing to try it again fresh out of the kitchen.

Beyondddddd delicious! The Mochi donuts are so chewy and soft. I love the way it's made . My mouth was watering from the excitement of the flammin hot mozzarella dog. I wanted to eat it in the car but my pup wasn't having it. It was still hot when I got home to eat it so that's good. It's very filling but i enjoyed each corndog & every donuts. Total came up to about $50 . Pricey but ITS WORTH IT! I'm definitely going back to try the drinks. It's made with NonDairy powder

They have a lot of fresh rolls which is nice since a lot of spots locally load up on the cream cheese and fried things (which admittedly I love, but try to eat in smaller doses.) The fish on the nigiri is sliced very thinly and I'm not too surprised as it's AYCE but just keep in mind the ratio leans heavy on the rice. Sashimi is also NOT included in the AYCE price and I believe it's $1 or so per sashimi piece so they do try to fill you up with the sushi rice. I'm not really a roll person, I prefer nigri and raw fish for my sushi cravings. That being said, Akina is very affordable for AYCE The service is good, I don't think the wait is incredibly long. Usually we only wait about 20 mins or so. They do have high chairs and the bathrooms are clean. Parking is fine too, they're in a plaza so there is parking but sometimes it can get pretty full there. I would recommend eating at Akina if you're in the mood for AYCE sushi in Cuse.

Interior is cute, quiet and clean. They have karaoke downstairs. The tempura was good, light and fresh. The fried chicken wings - cheese were disappointing. I have ordered this type of chicken wing from other restaurants in the past and it is always a cheese type of powder the coats it. This was cheese melted on top, not even a sauce or powder,, and that does make a difference for the dish as it had no flavor. I have seen cheese melted on top of spicy wings before but this also was not that. It was disappointing especially for the price ($24.99). Overcooked and dry.

Glad I stayed. Despite its name, the sushi was so-so. Think of this place as a Korean restaurant. Almost all of the patrons were speaking Korean. The beef bibimbop in a stone bowl was great. The stone bowl was unusual in that it was very flat which created a better , I'm not sure what the right word in Korean is, crispy rice layer (what they call soccarrat with paella). They didn't serve much Banchan with it, I didn't notice they have Korean barbecue until I was leaving. That's what I get for being hasty

I had such a fun experience at Sakana-Ya!…read more A couple of things to know before you go: if you visit during business hours, you'll likely need to pay for parking. There is a parking lot nearby as well as some street parking, but it's something to keep in mind before your visit. I believe they offer an all-you-can-eat special for around $27.99 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays many menu items are half off. I visited on a Thursday and took full advantage of the half-off specials. I arrived about 40 minutes before closing, and as other guests left, I ended up being the only person in the restaurant. Honestly, it made for a great experience. The music was a fun mix of house music and R&B, and I found myself dancing in my seat while enjoying my meal. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. They checked on me when needed but also gave me space to relax and enjoy my food. The cook also came over and talked with me for a while and made some suggestions on what he thought I would like. Amazing ! Because everything was half off, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! I ordered several different items and was completely full by my second plate. Most dishes come as small plates with two to four pieces, making it easy to try a variety of items. One of the coolest parts of the experience was the conveyor belt system. Once your food is prepared, it's sent down the conveyor belt to your seat. Since I was the only customer there, it was easy to know which dishes were mine. I'd be interested to see how it works during busier hours. I honestly can't remember everything I ordered, but I enjoyed almost all of it. My least favorite item was the sweet potato roll--it wasn't bad, just not my personal favorite. Everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth trying. Overall, I had a really good time and will definitely be back, especially on a half-off day. Great food, great music, and a fun dining experience. The fun thing is that on this particular Saturday, it was half-price Sushi which is a very affordable time to go! The sushi rolls and appetizer items come down on colored plates on a conveyer belt. You don't have much time to review the info sheet so figure out what things are before it passes you by, and you do have to eat it if you touch the plate. It's kind of a fun game to play! We enjoyed a nice lunch with fresh sushi created by the sushi chefs behind the counter, of course. It's a peaceful place to go when there's only few people in there. But, I could see it being loud if there were a packed house in there. I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I ever had, but it's fun for the novelty of it for sure.

It's small but when I go I can always find a table. We like the hot tea, the milk tea, and the miso soup is very good. And the takeout is great too. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because in the last year or so I've noticed some popular rolls and dishes like chirashi and California rolls have been prepared ahead of time. They're very cold, right out of the fridge, like sushi from Wegmans. I'm sure they were made that day, and I get they're trying to save some time, especially for the labor-intensive chirashi, but you can't taste it as well when it's cold like that. So I recommend sticking with some of the special rolls. We had a couple of the new ones today after they revamped their menu and they were very good.

Also, you may be seated with people you don't know (which is common for hibachi restaurants) unless you come with a larger group -- maybe 5-8 people depending on how busy they are.
