Mogi bagel has tasty New York style bagels. I love to pick these up at the farmers market or pop-up shops around town. I especially love the Kalamata olive bagel. It's perfect with my favorite cream cheese. I only wish they kept it year round instead of only during the summer markets.

After visiting NYC this summer, and tasting three excellent bagels from various shops, I returned even more disappointed with the MN bagel scene. That is, until I tried Mogi Bagel last weekend. They are chewy, dense, flavorful and everything the perfect bagel should be. They have such a nice bite and can easily be frozen and reheated in the air fryer for that same crusty yet smooth exterior and warm, doughy interior. And for only $2 a bagel? Incredible. I tried their Everything and Honey Rosemary flavors. I preferred the Everything but both were so tasty. My only advice? Skip on their cream cheese. For $7, you get a small container that tastes identical to Philadelphia cc. Honestly, you don't even need a spread with these little magic circles - they stand on their own. If you are looking for authentic, quality, delicious bagels, Mogi finally has Minnesota covered! Available at pop up shops on Thur/Sun. Pre-orders available for Tues/Wed pick ups.

The exterior of the bagels is a beauty to behold - deeply brown and craggy; I had high hopes biting into my roasted garlic bagel. The flavor was indeed complex and tasty. But the texture really fell short. I was expecting a dense, high-gluten, chewy texture, the kind when you rip the bread, it pulls in a long shred. But it was actually very cakey, almost crumbly like cornbread, which you can see in the photo. So the outside certainly looks and tastes like a bagel, but I didn't enjoy the unusual texture inside. Also, the flavor is fantastic, but they are sold refrigerator-cold, so better to bring home and heat up rather than eating it right away. An interesting bakery item, but nothing like a traditional chewy NYC bagel, as some claim.

Really good bagels! Wish they had an actual storefront but maybe someday! That being said, the place they make them and you go to pick them up from is super cute! You have to order them ahead of time. I did an assortment of bagels and got the scallion and garlic & herbs cream cheese.

I was at Minneapolis bouldering project and Mogi Bagel had a little pop up! I had never heard of Mogi Bagel prior to this, but wanted to give them a try. 3 hand rolled blueberry bagels for 6 dollars seemed reasonable. I brought them home, opened the bag, and was immediately impressed by how good it looked. After slicing, toasting, and cream cheese, I have to say, this was the best bagel I've had in a long time. It was wonderfully chewy and had just the right density/mouth feel. I totally regret not buying more and keeping them in my freezer. I was also very sad to learn they don't have a permanent location. You'll have to check their website to see where they will be next. If y'all get a chance to try these bagels, do it! They also sell their own cream cheese, which I didn't try, but I'm sure is great. The individuals running the booth were also super nice and gave helpful recommendations.

Best bagels in the cities y'all! The cacio e pepe bagels are absolutely amazing, especially when paired with the garlic herb cream cheese. Can't say enough good about Mogi Bagel and am happy to see all the hype they've been getting! The farmers markets have gotten crazy popular (as they should be with how good the bagels are) but they do sell out within about 30 mins to an hour. Highly recommend getting there early before the market opens if you want the best selection of bagel.

Continuing our support and quest for new and exciting local items, we found Mogi Bagel. Mogi Bagel is a New York style bagel pop up. Currently they have had Saturday pop-ups in Mpls and St Paul. You can also place an order for their bagels on their website for pick up. We ordered 6 of their Everything bagels and 6 of their special for the month which was Savory Herbs. We also ordered a Garlic and Herb cream cheese. Other bagel flavors currently available are Sesame, Plain, Salt, Cinnamon Sugar, Cacio e Pepe, Blueberry and Honey Rosemary. Other cream cheese options are Plain, Maple Chai and Scallion. Our order was packaged nicely in a large paper bag and ready for us when we arrived for our pick up. Being an equal opportunity lover, we tried one of each. Very good bagels. Our favorite was the Savory Herb with the Garlic and Herb cream cheese. The bagels were not as crisp on the exterior as I would have thought. That may be to the bagels being made fresh and then packaged to go. It appeared to us that the Everything bagel had seasoning on both sides. There was no skimping on all those goodies. The bagels were very tasty the day we picked them up. The next day, we slightly toasted them and made breakfast sandwiches. There are instructions on how to keep your bagels fresh. Follow them on Instagram or by email. Looking forward to trying some of their other flavors.

The best bagel pop up has been found! I went to the NE Farmers Market and noticed the line for these bagels was quite long. Well worth the wait! Also, the branding is adorable. Loved stopping by this tent. 3 bagels for $5 and $7 for cream cheese. These were fluffy and came in many flavors. They have a website and it has details on all the markets they are going to this summer.

Let's face it, they're not New York bagels, but they are dense, chewy and very satisfying.

The quality of the pastrami, its seasoning, the textures and bright flavors of the breads and bagels the nova the chopped liver the extra creamy marinated Cole slaw and perfect half sour pickles ( wISH they had bialys!). All perfect. All old world. Our favorite very old deli in West Palm Beach was sold 1.5 years ago and gone gone gone are the DELIGHTFUL happy charming old staff and the perfect old world flavors, cooking. In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart. Thank you Cecil's .....

Old school all the way. There's a restaurant in the back, and a full-scale deli counter in the front. It is such a good stop. They have their own private parking lot too. Wood paneling, and a bunch of local reviews all over the walls. Clean, normal sound. Simple, with excellent customer service, and a huge menu that will have something that you like. Packed the midweek afternoon we visited, and we did not wait for a table. Loved my bowl of Matzo Soup, superb broth and the Matzo was delicious. Enjoyed my BLT on whole wheat and the homemade potato salad was amazing! Had a cherry cobbler for dessert that was incredible. Restaurant has been open for over 70 years, and I met the owner/manager, Cecil, afterward, and he just oozes customer service being a priority. It's a must-visit place.

After seeing a viral video on tiktok, I knew I had to come find this place!…read more There is plenty of free parking in the lot. This place is actually a decent size but due to its popularity, it felt very crowded! So possibly plan on taking your drink to go. The service here was good and the man who made my drink was nothing short of a sweetheart! I got the raspberry cheesecake latte with oatmilk. This drink was over $11!! Not what I was expecting! Definitely the most expensive coffee I have gotten! Their menu seemed to have lots of unique and tasty coffees and items! I'd love to come back and try more. Despite the cost, the coffee was very tasty! In my opinion, this is one of the best coffee shops in the twin cities!

Tried the banana bread oat milk latte at The Fox and Pantry and I loved it!…read more The large is definitely pricey at $9.95 (hence, my 4/5 stars) and especially considering how busy the shop gets, it's not something I'd personally order every day! But as an occasional treat, it was worth trying. The latte comes topped with cold foam, syrup drizzle, and dried banana slices, which made it feel extra fun and unique. It really did taste like banana bread in latte form. The decor inside is super cute and cozy too. Definitely a fun spot to try if you're looking for a specialty coffee drink!
