OMG! Just like real bread! I cannot believe how spongy and delicious the white bread is! I cannot believe I can finally have a sandwich without the bread crumbling! You must try this bakery!! The cookies and the brownies are amazing as well! I'm in heaven!

We love a progressive, safe, and welcoming environment!

I was recently told I need to go gluten free for my health, so I've been scouting out different businesses in the Twin Cities. This was my first visit to Atuvava and oh boy you bet I'll be back. They are open two days a week (Tues and Sat) from 2pm-6pm. Many reviews mentioned long lines out the door and to be there early. I got there shortly after 2pm on a Saturday and it was mildly busy, but no line out the door. The staff were incredibly fast and so kind. It seems like the fresh cinnamon rolls are the first to go (but they do have some frozen). They have a limit for bread - 2 big loaves and 2 baguettes is the maximum you can buy. They have an assortment of scones, cookies, muffins, biscuits, turnovers, and brownies as well. If, like me, you have anxiety in new places this next part is for you. When you walk in, grab a number. The person at the register will be calling out numbers to place your order. While you're waiting, grab any items from the freezer that you'd like. If you get lucky, some of the products may have just come out of the oven. That was the case for the loaves I purchased and the cheddar biscuits. They're so warm and fluffy you won't be able to resist eating them. And another plus - no corn products are used! They use cornstarch to line their baking pans, but no corn flour or other corn products are in their baked goods. This was a big positive as I was shopping for someone who is GF and cannot eat corn products. Everything was so delicious and I can't wait to go back.

Atuvava was amazing!! They open at 2 on Saturday's and have different items each week from what I understand. I got there 20 minutes before they opened and there was already a line of about 20 individuals ahead of me! They handed out samples as you waited in line. I got the baguette, cinnamon rolls, peanut butter cookie, and chocolate mocha cookies. Everything was amazing for gluten free. I haven't had a baguette that tasted that good since before I was Celiac and that was very exciting for me. When standing in line there were others around me that kept on coming back week to week and I see why! The prices are comparable to other bakeries so I think it's very reasonable. I will definitely be back and I am excited to try new items they have. Parking is in the neighborhood around the store so just plan on looking for a spot for a few minutes.

Wow wow wow! I am beyond impressed! I got there 15 min before opening (hours right now are 2-6pm Thursday and Saturday) and there was already a line of people! Once opened I was given a number and that is what is used for checkout. I was so impressed with the options and the stuff IS BETTER THAN ITS GLUTEN COUNTERPARTS!! Fully gluten free and celiac safe!! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating :) will return!

I was amazed at the quality of the breads and pastries. The cinnamon roll was probably the best I've ever eaten! Great place!

The morning glory muffins are my favorite. They have a good selection but have limited hours.

The setting that made the experience always so special, before they move to their residency inside the Guthrie Theater under a new name. I cannot wait to see what they do next. Every dish truly hit it out of the park. From the Three Sisters salad with bison and squash to the fried quail and rich, earthy mushroom soup, each plate showcased Indigenous ingredients and traditions in a way that felt both thoughtful and exciting. This is not your typical dining experience and that's exactly what makes it so satisfying. Even the margarita was a standout: beautifully presented and just as delicious as it looked. I will definitely miss this riverfront location, but I am so excited for their next chapter.

This place totally lived up to the hype, in my opinion!…read more I got the maple pepita latte ($10), sweet potatoes ($18), bison skirt steak tacos ($55), and spoonbread ($15). The latte came garnished with rose petals and was not too sweet. It was a nice way to start my meal. Then came the sweet potatoes, and oh my God, I think they were the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. They were unbelievably, delectably sweet and cooked perfectly. They had an excellent char while being soft on the inside. And the sweetness was complemented nicely by the maple chili crisp, which had just a bit of a kick. The bison skirt steak tacos were also delicious. The bison was so tender and juicy. Full of flavor and cooked superbly. My server wasn't kidding when she said the tacos were big enough to share between a few people. I ate the tacos by myself, and I was beyond stuffed. Alas, I wasn't a big fan of the spoonbread. The flavor wasn't bad, but I didn't care for the texture, which was a little too coarse for me. The dessert was gluten-free, and I could REALLY tell. It was also too spicy for me. The spoonbread was drenched in hot honey. But the sweet potatoes, tacos, and attentive & friendly service more than made up for it. The restaurant isn't cheap (especially for a solo diner), but I've seen worse prices for worse food. And I'm eager to check out their new location the next time I'm in Minneapolis. Note - if you pay with a credit card, it does come with a 3% fee.

We ordered the Porteño (meat pizza) and the Peras (vegetarian) since our son is vegetarian, and both were excellent. Even the leftovers held up wonderfully--reheated in an air fryer, they tasted fantastic. We also tried the churro donuts. On their own they were okay, but with the sauce, they were really good. Highly recommended for pizza lovers, and a great pairing with your favorite beverage--beer, wine, or a non-alcoholic choice

The rating seemed low, so I had to try it for myself. My wife and I went to the original location in the Kingfield neighborhood of Minneapolis. We got 3 empanadas, a pizza, flan, and churro donuts. The menu features 7 empanadas. Of those, we tried the carne, jamón y queso, and the Messi. The carne was my favorite, but all 3 were worth getting. So much so, I'd come here for the empanadas alone. As for the pizza, we kept it simple and got the pepperoni. Boludo's pizza is like none other I've ever seen before. It's somewhat oval shaped, but with 4 corners, and has cheese heavily sprinkled over the crust. Aside from being a bit greasy, the pizza was solid, and better than the 7.8 Dave Portnoy gave it. Similar to the pizza, the flan had a unique presentation, as well. Rather than a slice or its typical round appearance, Boludo's flan is served in a jar and topped with candied pecans. It was rich, but that didn't stop me from gobbling it all down. Lastly, we had the churro donuts. These were reminiscent of cider mill donuts, but better. The donuts didn't need a dip, but the dulce de leche it came with was enjoyable. Boludo didn't miss on any of the items we ordered. Not only did I find the overall experience to be unique, I was genuinely impressed, as well. As strange as it sounds, make sure to check out the bathroom if/when you visit!

I happen to know folks who need to avoid gluten. I am good having gluten, but I was curious to check this place out. I tried earlier this year. Sadly, when I got to the food court, this stall was closed. On October 1st, after attending the Jason Show as a studio audience member, I headed over to the food court to try my luck again. It was roughly 11:30 am. This food stall was open. Yay! The nice man behind the counter was wonderful and patient as I figured out what I wanted. I got the following items: - Medium Diet Coke - Crispy fish sandwich with coleslaw I paid with a credit card. Done! He asked for my name for the order. I waited patiently for my order as it was being made. It didn't take long. I got my Diet Coke first. I sipped it as I waited for my food. He put my food in a container box and put this box on a tray. It was a nice touch that he said my name and hoped that I'd like my meal. I thanked him and headed to a free table in the food court to chow down. The coleslaw was crunchy and delicious. It's a mayonnaise-based coleslaw. The coating around the fish was crispy. I loved it. The fish portion was generous. The fish was flaky and yummy. It's a messy sandwich to eat. The lettuce, tomato, and some of the creamy coleslaw was a part of this sandwich. They easily slid out. The bun was different. It looked like a potato bun. I don't know what it was made of, but it worked well. It didn't disintegrate. It wasn't overly thick and boring. It was perfect. What was the most surprising part of my meal was the Diet Coke. It was crisp and fizzy, and had the quality of a Diet Coke from McDonald's. I was both impressed and sad that I didn't get a large. I'm so glad that this place is available for those who have Celiac disease and want to enjoy gluten-free food. Folks who aren't on a gluten-free regimen will also be pleased with the food here. I enjoyed everything that I ate and couldn't tell that they were gluten-free. (411)
