I hired Color Interiors (CI) to install Karndean Art Select LVP throughout house I bought this…read moresummer. Karndean's Art Select is an excellent product that looks like real wood, but improper installation can result in warping, plank separation, waves and bulging, making it look cheap. Original quotes I got for engineered hardwood and for LVP were both right at $17,000, so price wasn't a factor. When I was trying to decide between engineered hardwood and Karndean's Art Select LVP, I explicitly told the salesman that my main concern about LVP was that the installation wouldn't be done correctly. CI salesman repeatedly assured me that he would stay on top of the job to make sure it was installed according to manufacturer's instructions, but once he got my deposit, ~$4,200 of which was non-refundable, he didn't follow through on anything. I had to remind him 1/2 a dozen times about needing to order shoe molding and he didn't check in with the installers once to make sure they were following the manufacturer's installation instructions. Most importantly, they didn't perform a moisture test on the concrete subfloor, or use a 100 lb roller while the planks were being laid down to make sure the adhesive was spread evenly under the LVP. According to Karndean, failure to do these things voids the warranty. In addition to the shoddy installation, the installers were so careless and sloppy that they got greasy handprints all over the walls I had just paid $4,900 to have painted a week earlier. And not only did I have to clean their greasy handprints off of the walls, I also spent 8 hours on my knees washing glue and other messes off of the LVP after they "finished" the installation. When I walk into the foyer of my new house, my eyes are immediately drawn to two areas where the flooring is wavy/bulging and I cannot express how angry I get when I think about this. To remedy the situation, that floor is going to need to be ripped out and a new floor will have to be installed. That would have been bad enough before I moved in, but now that I have furniture in the house, I honestly don't even want to think about what an enormous pain this is going to be. Not to mention the fact that I will also need to have the baseboards repainted, which I had painted a couple of days after the floor was installed (cost was ~$2,300). To add insult to injury, Color Interiors invoiced me an additional $1,800 for floor prep. The purpose of the floor prep was to make sure that any imperfections in the concrete subfloor were covered over and to make the surface completely level. Honestly, if they had installed the flooring correctly and it didn't have waves and bulges in it, paying extra to make sure everything was done right wouldn't bother me. The fact that they had the gall to invoice me $1,800 more than they quoted after doing such shoddy work, however, is infuriating.

I had only…read more2 bedrooms we wanted to replace carpet with wood flooring to match the wood flooring in the rest of the house. Most companies for such a small job would not put much effort into finding a matching floor. Scott found a great match, but when he went to order it, it had been discontinued. Not giving up, Scott sent photos of our existing floor to his vendors and asked them to bring in samples that might match. When he got them in, we went to their showroom in Conroe (which is beautiful - they have tile, wood, etc) to see what they recommended. We liked it; they ordered it, and the following week they installed it. We have had wood flooring installed in other homes, and usually an installer will just yank up the old flooring & staple down the new. The crew that this company sent came and took up the old carpet, actually re-leveled the floor with a concrete slurry & a big level, put down a plastic moisture layer, then the wood. It could not be a more perfect match!! This company was quick, professional, and very precise!...they even matched the grain of the wood to the pieces of wood from the hall. From start to finish this company and Scott in particular were awesome to work with. Deserving of their name, they are simply Excellent! I would highly recommend them for any kind of flooring work.

They did not arrive on time to template my counters and they told me they'd be back to install the next day but didn't actually come back until Monday which left me without sink/stove/and countertops over the weekend. They took part of my garbage disposal and caused serious plumbing and electrical damage but claim they did nothing and it was already like that which is not true. They broke a hand valve for my water as well as a main plumbing line which is going to be a considerable extra expense to fix as they broke the pipe off from the wall. The owner insisted on seeing the damage then told my sister and I that he didn't even think the plumbing was broken. Overall this was a terrible experience with a company who employs careless installers but I can see why when the owner doesn't even take responsibility for their mistakes. Save yourself the hassle and go with a better company who won't send people to your home having inappropriate conversations around your children because they assume you don't speak Spanish.

I was looking into getting new countertops in kitchen, reached out to Milestone and explained to…read morethem the type of material I was looking for, which was quartz with grey veining and repeated mentioned I wanted veins going the same direction through out kitchen and no visible seams, I was assured they could do the job. Day of install came and one of the panels was going vertically and everything else horizontally. Reached out to John and after a little back and forth he agreed to replace the panel at no extra charge. When day of replacement came it was only a crew of 2 guys, they struggled a little to move stove and were concerned about gas line as they were unsure how to close it, the guy in charge took them outside and told them to be quiet, stop complaining and get it done. 3 months after replacement section was installed and final payment was made my countertops cracked! I reached out again via email to John, several people from his team came out to look at countertops a couple of times and I was told they'd replace them once they had the same material leftover from another job. That was over a year ago! I repeatedly reached out to John and James who now no longer works with John and I was just given more excuses. I consulted with another company and I was told the reason for counters cracking was most likely bad installation since there were no signs. We also paid for cabinet lighting and lights went out a day after installing after having guy come out multiple times we gave up. I have recently filed a complaint with the BBB, countertops should have come with some type of warranty for at least a year.
